  1. Some more information about the exploit, courtesy of PanzerSofa: https://vk.com/wall-102237486_286104 What this basically means is that RU players could do the exploit, gain millions of coins, use said coins to purchase premium vehicles from the coin shop, and sell them on Lootdog for real currency. Comments also suggest autoclicker software is involved.
  2. https://aw.my.games/en/news/general/development-lynx-skyranger Interesting concepts, but the combo of mechanics just don't feel as exciting as they sound on paper. Unless the KEM have very fast reloads, the lower damage than they already do on the Brosat will make them fairly useless even if they end up having high penetration. They would also serve no utility otherwise, as they are effectively just missiles with low damage and possibly low penetration too. The blinding laser sounds novel on paper, until you realize the game already have mechanics for reducing enemy view ranges for years now. Shooting at commander sights and/or killing the commander on the target vehicle will blind them far more effectively than using the ability, not to mention its limited usefulness in PvP. Programmable HE has been absolutely useless ever since they were introduced in the game. Nobody praises them, or complains about being used against them, or even uses them actively. This is a gimmick in the game that exists without much purpose or use. In short, I see it as yet another dakka vehicle in a tier range already saturated by dakka vehicles. Maybe it will be better than it sounds, but I don't have high hopes.
  3. If you somehow still have files from 0.32, it would be easy. If you don't, you better find some very good modelers.

  5. This thread was set to hidden on August 29 by request of the Game Staff, as the issue outlined posed a significant risk for unfair gameplay advantages. As the issue should be rectified now, this thread will now be unhidden again.
  6. Self-extracting archives often get flagged as suspicious, false positives are common.
  7. Confirmed and can be replicated in custom battles. Appears to affect all RR vehicles without ammo fast swap (ie. t7-10 TDs). Affected vehicles: Cent 105 AMX RCR Cent 120
  8. Note that the BP vehicles and other assets are NOT in the client yet, so the chances of the BP launching before next week at the earliest is slim. There is also a curious decal now "available".
  9. Confirming the ZTL will get a 125mm gun option. https://aw.my.games/en/news/general/developer-diary-ztl-11-upgrades

  11. https://armoredlabs.net/index.php?/topic/68440-august-22-qa-with-ss-answers-and-discussion/ If your question didn't get answered this time or you would like to ask more questions, feel free to submit them here! --- Reposting some questions from Discord: simolens: What vehicles besides the bvp afv contract tank are being added in the battlepath Store? Data-Zero: Is it possible to set specific paint/camo as your favorite and have it as separate tab for fast equip/select? Are there any new retrofits planned? As the likes of Improved drive and improved barrel lining. (Not as strong, like tier lower) Any plans to add any more Hades vehicles into the list? Is the massive camo loss when firing autocannons (eg BMP-3M) intended and if its so, any plans to visit it? Azdule: Are there any ideas to try and add incentives to being in a battalion or a high ranking one? While the shadow + parts of hades tanks are a nice addition to the grind of the game, outside of ranked matches, there is very little for a battalion to do together. And once you have the hades tanks, there isn't an incentive to grind further for them. Could there be something, and I use this term VERY loosely, like the old base, but for battalions to donate to so it gives them something back? For example, if the members donated say 100m, it would 'print' out say a few more rearm kits for all members, or for 1 quadrillion, it gave access to something else - perhaps some heroic missions or something. Would it be possible to get some over progression completions for the contract missions (akin to the raid missions) whereby, if you do the task so well, that you can 1 shot it? for example, if you need to get 10x missions with 2k inf damage, that you get 1 mission with 20k inf damage (not exact numbers but for general ideas) Edit: or are they designed to be that way simply to try and keep player numbers up? Are there any plans to remove the BS first roll on all of the crates that we get? For example, the fire support, or nation boxes. As a long term player, I'm not going to drop £2.50 on a day of premium or 500k credits. If there was actually a chance of getting something decent on these boxes I might (strong maybe) tempted to roll on a few, but as it stands, there is 0 chance because all I see is trash. Hell, even the visual shows the possible drops on that roll is trash. Pfeffer: I am aware that there have been Line vehicles in the past that have been made premium (XM1, T-14 with 152mm) but has there ever been plans or discussions regarding the opposite? For example taking the RDF LT (bad example but example nonetheless) and turning it into a line vehicle for a new or old dealer? If not was there a specific reason **YOU** think it was never pursued such as annoying those that purchased or obtained it? Lettuce: Question: How are the developers doing? Are they eating and sleeping well? What were some of the things that they had to go through during the coof and how did they manage to recover? Any anecdotes they or you want to share? I decided to ask these questions because its very easy for us players to forget that the developers behind a game are still human and the pressures we put on them might make or break them. I look forward to hearing about the other "heroes of armored warfare" :) Liebefrei: When will the infantry be revised? - Likes to run a world - Likes to run meters away from hitting enemies even though enemies are in range - when will there be the possibility to tell the infantry exactly on which point (target circle, it should position itself, if it is close) Working with the Infantery is a real pain in the ass.
  12. As described in the Q&A questions thread (https://armoredlabs.net/index.php?/topic/59785-qa-with-ss-post-your-questions-here/), here are the second round of answers provided by SS. A bit dry this time, mainly because the questions were pretty clear cut with no wiggle room for further discussions. Lets hope the next round of questions will be better. If your question didn't get answered this time or you would like to ask more questions, feel free to submit them in the questions thread.
  13. While the mod itself doesn't break any rules when viewed from a historical context, the context behind the mod will inevitably spark a lot of criticism not necessarily towards the mod, but to real-life current events. I will leave this thread visible, but locked from comments until further notice. It is an appropriate compromise between allowing freedom of artistic expression and avoiding chaos.
  14. The PanzerSofa mods have an installer of sorts, but they are just self-extracting archives with some instructions included. I'm not a fan of them because it makes it harder to examine the contents of a mod before installing it, but I suppose they can make installation somewhat easier. On merging mods, curated mod packs and collections isn't a bad idea at all as long as mod authors agree to have their work included. It will be up to the mod pack curators to keep up with mod updates though.
  15. I'm not aware of any mod manager specific to AW in development, the playerbase is probably too small to be worth the effort anyway. Something like JSGME might be useful, but IMO it will be a lot more complicated than just manually installing mods. It will solve a lot of mod conflict issues though, but luckily most mods so far don't conflict with each other. If mod aggregation and centralized installation is needed, it would be easier for mod authors to provide version control and releases via GitHub or another repository service. But that is entirely up to the authors of course.
  16. I just want to raise some awareness on just how much work is involved with modding in ERA, especially in rotation and positioning. Bloody good job.
  17. Presumably so people who live outside of EU time zones don't get screwed over and can still get the Type 74. It should be noted that the Type 74 will (probably) also be available in the BP coin shop, so even if you miss it this time you can still get it later.
  18. It is worth pointing out that the emblem of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is a completely custom decal, with its own model attached to the vehicle over the infrared red light. As a result the decal also appears on the T-64AV Hunter because it shares the same model with the T-64A.
  19. Mod development is entirely based on the vision of their authors, it's literally a case of making what they want and not necessarily what others desire. Arto's mod here isn't aimed at replicating real-life models, but more about what the vehicles could have plausibly looked like after field modifications and retrofits. XM1A3 being the only vehicle to receive the butt cage is likely an intentional decision to differentiate it better from the other Abrams variants. If you don't agree with Arto's design decisions, you are always free to make further changes yourself too.
  20. Round 2 questions are closed! Here are the questions sent to SS: If I skipped over your question, feel free to repost them again so that they may be selected next round! Round 3 of questions start now.
