  1. Is it possible to get the .json data from the browser directly? I remember there's a link you can use to access the API similar to the old forum signatures. It would be very nice if the forum signatures can be recreated, even if it's a bit useless.
  2. Crackpot theory time... The reward vehicles you get from the ranks are intentionally made mediocre this time, in order to entice people to spend their coins in the shop. Because the shop offers have time limits before going away, when people see something really good they may be tempted to spend gold (and money) to buy coins for the shop offers. It's a clever monetization strategy, I'll give them that.
  3. ZTQ is one of the possible offers. And yeah, do NOT spend your coins for anything less than a tier 9 or 10 premium. You can get almost every tier 6-8 premium for free from the contract boxes already, don't waste your coins here.
  4. Apparently that only lasted 3 days. Broken again as of 0.34.7554, after the update on December 10.
  5. The challenges and repeatables appear to be exactly the same as the previous BP, only the mission sets got updated. Repeatables (too bloody long, open the spoilers if you really want to see): Challenges: Mission sets: Just some observations and possible tips for making the BP less miserable: Ignore the ranks altogether until the very last day. The reward vehicles (except Kurganets) this time outright suck and aren't really unique in any useful ways. Grind the challenges, repeatables and mission sets for coins. The mission sets in particular are extremely easy this time, the Kurganets parts for the elite missions are practically freebies. Play Plague for damage farming. Play heroics for net XP and missions that require you to find higher tier enemies. Cheese wherever you see fit, only play just enough to complete your mission requirements and move on. All those elite mission that require you to do something 10 times are good examples. Pick up the coin offers in the shop as often as you can, apparently you can get steep discounts like these Kurganets is the only reward vehicle that seems remotely interesting to me this time.
  6. https://aw.my.games/en/news/general/echoes-war-battle-path-now-available Mission descriptions and challenges and stuff to follow, when I go through the localization files. Edit: actual useful info 2 posts below this one.
  7. https://aw.my.games/en/news/general/maintenance-december-10-0 The catch with the free Type 59 is that it's already horribly powercreeped and woefully underpowered since getting uptiered to tier 4. I'm sure new players will feel so excited about their brand new premium being crapped on by basically everything.
  8. Sounds normal, all the particle effects from stuff hitting you tend to tank your framerates. I get horrid frame drops too when lots of bots spawn and get spotted at once, I'm assuming that's due to the big spike in rendering and processing , since my framerate increases once the bots are culled. The only remedy I can think of is to remove the bots as fast as possible to keep their numbers low.
  9. Part 2 is up! Thank you tahax for this very detailed explanation into the dev process. https://vk.com/@panzer_sofa-tank-creation-2
  10. Seems to be fixed again as of December 7. Same build again 0.34.7512. But this time without a server maintenance. I wonder how long will it stay "fixed" this time.
  11. When the game gets so boring you have to come up with your own memes to keep it fun.

  13. Issue has regressed as of 0.34.7512 (same build as above), after a server maintenance on December 3. Curious, this indicates a server issue and not a client issue.
  14. During the early days of the game, the tier spread was actually only 1-8 with 9-10 reserved for competitive play only. That is, tier 8 would be the highest tier for everyday play and power levels would only have to stretch across 8 tiers. Some time later when 9-10 got normalized for general play the power levels had to be stretched to accommodate this, that's the reason why there are so many filler vehicles right now. It wouldn't be a bad idea now to cut down on the number of tiers, raising the power levels of the lower tiers to make them more competitive. Hell, just balance tiers 1-2 separately so that the actual game progression starts at tier 3 (while making sure tiers 1-2 never face tier 3 enemies). Leopard C2 MEXAS would indeed be way too good at tier 3, that's why I thought it would fit better as an upgrade 1A5 at tier 5. Also bear in mind that the increasing power level should also apply to other vehicles as well, so other tiers 3-4 vehicles would effectively have power levels of tiers 4 and 5 respectively. Leopard 1 being a tier 3 with its power level stretching into tier 4 sounds like a reasonable progression. Although at some point I do wonder if it would be easier to just make a new vehicle for each tier, which is what the game has right now. It feels boring and less engaging though.
  15. The domain of aw.my.games and the brand My.games is owned by My.com. It's honestly a clusterfuck that require a visual aid for me to understand who owns what at this point, but I'm just going by the fine print at the bottom of the page and the registration info of the site. SS likely has no idea this happened, don't blame him or burn him on a stake for this. This is a very classic example of lack of communication between two departments (marketing and community) within the same company. While I have good faith this did not happen intentionally (I hope), I still feel this crosses the line and deserve a slap on the wrist to prevent future occurrence. As I said, if nothing wrong has been done, nothing will happen.
  16. Everything not in the tunnel already explodes as soon as someone reaches the bottom to complete the "get out of here" objective, regardless of how much time is left on the timer. The sliding down part takes less than 10 seconds, so you really don't have a full minute. If playing with poor internet (and loading in late) can be considered selfish, does having low frame rates or high ping also fall under the selfish category? For whatever it's worth, I play with bare minimum settings and I only get 30-40fps if the map permits. I also play with 250-300ms ping with constant packet loss because I'm physically too far away from the server. Should I be disqualified from playing the game altogether because my reaction time is mechanically limited, and I will never perform as well as someone with equal skill and better hardware? It's a slippery slope to say late loaders shouldn't be playing while also accepting (or tolerating) others with similar mechanical handicaps. Instead of punishing players who load in late, measures should be taken so that they can still play the match and contribute after loading in. Delay the countdown timer until all players have loaded in for example, or not having death and failure mechanics that cannot be countered individually. There's a reason why the player spawn points on most missions are safely tucked away in corners that bots won't ever reach.
  17. A very long, but very detailed article from PanzerSofa. Quite a good read if anyone wishes to gain some insight into one part of the dev process. The quote here is auto-translated, so there may be some bits that got lost in translation. If there are any concerns, please consult the source material at PanzerSofa's VK page. https://vk.com/@panzer_sofa-tank-creation-1
  18. Assuming you desperately need the gold, sure. Otherwise the chance of getting whole premium vehicles including rarities like the K1A1 and Type 90 (I got both of them from the boxes) far outweighs the paltry gold drops. Selling vehicles here isn't about getting credits, it's about maximizing your chances of getting something better than 500 gold.
  19. Got a reply, was nice. The ACM basically said misleading advertising is outside their scope, and advised me to contact the Advertising Code Foundation (SRC) instead. Link to SRC complaint form: https://www.reclamecode.nl/klacht-indienen/ With the magic of Google Translate, I submitted my report again. With any luck, something will happen.
  20. This topic concerns the Thunderbird Bundles being sold on Black Friday. Specifically the three of them on the web shop marked with limited stock. https://aw.my.games/en/news/general/offer-black-friday-0 If the stock counter looks phony to you, you're right. Examining the statements of limited stock reveals that they are literally just static text without any update functions. I'm not well versed in the laws of Netherlands, but conventional wisdom suggests this is probably skirting a bit too far with the law. I submitted a report to the Authority for Consumers & Markets (ACM) anyways, this wouldn't hurt them if My.com is doing nothing wrong, but in case they are doing something wrong this can be considered a slap on the wrist. In case other people want to follow suit and also submit reports, here's my message for reference: https://gist.githubusercontent.com/Kasuobes/6a6331be9b2ad25e2c8d8fade8779437/raw/eb1aaef17ac8cbdb6d11b1021a5746ded0a1ef00/gistfile1.txt The Dutch Advertising Code can be found here: https://business.gov.nl/regulation/advertising/ BIG EDIT: ACM replied to me that misleading advertising is outside their scope and advised me to contact the Advertising Code Foundation (SRC) instead. Link to their online complaint form: https://www.reclamecode.nl/klacht-indienen/ Yes, it's also in Dutch. Not a big deal, Google Translate works.
  21. So... the complete list of rewards by days completed in case people don't want to check in-game (like me!). 22. SS mentioned in one of the Q&As that module-based progression wasn't popular, but even so a system like this would smooth out the power differences between tiers. If nothing else, the game would have more variety in vehicles without actually needing to add new vehicles. Instead of changing the tiers of the vehicles it may be sufficient to merely increase their power level, so that they can adequately compete against higher tiers. To expand on your Leopard 1 example: Base Leopard 1, relatively high DPM but gets outclassed by tier 4s Leopard 1 w/ turret armor upgrade and FCS for better gun handling (effectively 1A4 standard), still tier 3 but with a power level of unupgraded tier 4. Change the name to Leopard 1A4 because it's encouraging to have a sense of progression. Base Leopard 1A5, the runt of tier 5 before upgrades. Leopard 1A5 with MEXAS and more FCS upgrades, power level of unupgraded tier 6. Change name to Leopard C2 MEXAS. Same concept can be applied to the numerous vehicle series in the game right now. Instead of splitting the T-72/T-80/T-90 series across three different tiers each, they can be consolidated their respective base vehicles with upgrades that raise their power level to the expected tier ranges. T-72 can upgrade itself to 72A/72B/72B3 standard for instance, to cover 4 different power levels. The downside is that this will reduce the overall number of distinct vehicles in the game, and players might get bored being stuck with the same vehicle for a long time. An expansion system at low tiers would be more ideal to begin with, as you said.
