Reputation gain greatly reduced since 0.35 update

OS: Windows 10 Home, version 1809, 64 bit

Game Version: 0.35.7919--2021-03-19_02:37

Brief Description: Reputation gain from PvE matches appear to be reduced by 90% (factor of 10) since the 0.35 update, when compared to matches prior to the update.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Play a PvE match
  2. Check reputation gain in results (details tab)
  3. Compare reputation gain to results prior to the 0.35 update

Result:  Matches played after the 0.35 update has greatly reduced reputation gains.

Expected Behavior: Reputation gain rate for matches played after 0.35 should be identical to matches played prior to 0.35.

    Fixes/Workarounds: None.

    Other Notes: See comparative screenshots. Note identical XP gains, but vastly different reputation gains.

    These rewards are still waged wrong (too big) in my opinion. They don't need to make pve even more popular than it already is.

    This is heroics with the weekly x10 first win bonuses, the high payouts are normal.

    Normal PvE (not heroic specops or stuff like that) seems the same as before, here's a random sample from earlier this month:

    Last column is reputation, and it seems roughly the same.

    This is all base rep, without boosters.

     

    (also yes, I do manually track every game played, I'm a dweeb with no life)

    I would disagree. The payouts are way to small. I should be getting 1mil credits for a standard PVE win with prem account and vehicle. It was this way 1 year ago. They need to go back to that. PVE is the only reason many of the players are in the game, many will not touch PvP because they don't like the game play. You should play PVE or PVP because you like the game play, not because the payout is better.

    I don't see any headers, but I can't help but think you highlighted XP instead of reputation.

    Nope, last column is reputation. This may look a bit messy, but it's how it works for me - Q is total XP, W is base XP, Z is total team base XP, AA is reputation.

    edit - here are two random battles, one on 11/3 and second on 23/3: First one has a bit higher rep because it's Leviathan.

    But I guess something got fucked with heroic specops somewhere, normal PvE still has the same reputation gain.

    Can you show a match result screenshot? I find it highly doubtful that you got 1024 rep with only 3331 total XP, that is way higher than what even the ratio should be (roughly 5%).

    Why not?  PvE is the only reason this game still exists.  It doesn't have sufficient PvP population to sustain itself.

    Do you mean China?  Because there are only 2 servers - the global server and the Chinese server.  The Chinese server isn't supposed to be accessible from anywhere but China.

    Yes, I heard that the problem has not been fixed on the Chinese servers

    Issue appear fixed, but before the weekly update. Looks like a bad server config.

    Has anyone been able to compare base payouts from pre-0.35 to post 14Apr2021?

    I have noticed that now the first-win-of-the-day multiplier is now X5 instead of X2... so the gap between good maps and bad maps for credits and XP just got bigger. Wish we had better rotation tracking so I could decide which tanks to play for which match.

    I am thinking they are trying to incentivize having a larger fleet of tanks, and to push players who have a favorite tank to rotate through others.
