  1. So I guess this gets to be a bit more wild. I'll add this in, now keep in mind I have the entire branch up through the LeClerc T4 unlocked with a good number of battles on most of these: To upgrade the LeClerc, I'm short by 4320 XP.....okay, sure, that's a PvE match to be done. To upgrade the LeClerc Proto to a fully unlocked status, I'm still short from a fully upgraded tank by 160,764. How exactly when I had everything unlocked before today? How exactly did this happen?
  2. 2,781,179 is what I came up with. I only got 2,045,000. To add in the little gems I'm finding now: The progress I had on getting the Improved Barrel Lining on the LeClerc was reset back to 0/10. I was at 2/10 a couple of weeks ago. The upgrade tree for the M1A2 leads directly to the TTB now instead of the M1A2C? How does that work? The Type 10 got the crap nerfed out of it. The spread was upped by quite a bit along with the reload speed (which is what I was hoping they would do). No announcement in the patch notes about it. If you are going to have an "MBT" with "light tank" traits, then give it one or the other. This is just the casual glance right now.

If you look at how much work/XP it takes to get a commander up to Colonel and the little hoops that you have to jump through to make it happen, initially for the first couple of ranks maybe depending on how you judge the return on investment. I will say that its not worth it. Best bang for the buck is getting your daily multipliers knocked out and abuse the commander bonus for experience events like there is no tomorrow when they happen. Some of my lower ranked commanders I just go and assign them to every tank and run them up to a point, then do the next one and the next one. Save the XP and reputation for the grind.
  4. Man..... I was not expecting this to happen so soon. There is enough that I saw and have read that it needs another good pass and some more testing than the what 16 hours or so that it was put through by a handful of people. My better half and dear friend told me a long time ago something that I think is fitting here: "Your #### had better be on point." Dear Developers, Please take note.

  6. I played a couple of matches in the K2 and a couple in the Type 10. i wish that i could have done it against someone in PvP to verify. The K2 before this was rough to fight against in PvP, especially when the hull was dropped helping to set a more defensive angle. The Type 10 was a bit of a "one-off" type thing that if you saw one it was usually a side profile and everyone on the map shot at it. Now in PvE there is a small, but noticable difference in the K2 protection scheme but since the special abilities were turned off it seemed to eat more rounds through the front than normal. With the Type 10 but it was a bit more pronounced. Given how much similarities exist between the K2 and the Altay that the Altay wasn't mentioned as well? I guess I missed something with the K2.
  7. I have enjoyed the hell out of the VT-5. Issue is that the tank itself needs to be dialed down a bit or moved up to tier 10 in my opinion. I don't know how the ZTQ would work because at tier 9 the light tank pool is in a bit of a rough spot. While anything extra will help the lack of variety and ability overall makes them fall into the ~meh~ category.
  8. I wish that they would tweak one thing at a time, dialed it in, then moved to the next thing. The optimizations in my opinion while needed are not necessary at this time. If they want to do a balance change, do a balance change. if they want to do a game optimization pass, do that. Trying to combine the two makes for a bad mix of issues to sort out. In the grand scheme of things, I do like the change to the ammo mechanics but i don't feel it'll fix the overall issue.
  9. Since this is the first weekend I've had off off and the PTS was active, I gave it a swing to see what is going on. Optimization: The optimization to improve the game performance really didn't help any. In some cases it slowed me down. They did change the team members tab in the upper left of the screen. It lead me to wonder why are there so many different fonts on the screen. Lot of graphical glitches that were introduced such as the T-15 has 2 streams of autocannon fire coming off of it instead of the one. A lot of the damage notifications don't show up when you are in sniper view mode and when you cycle back out to the arcade mode there is a huge delay in when they will appear. Tried out a few of my favorite tanks to see how they changed since they are known constants to me. There are several tanks such as the K2, Altay, and Type 10 that lack their special ability to drop the hull which is part of the protection dynamics to hide the LFP. The ability to drop the hull is not available. Actually, active abilities for everything is disabled..... The ability to swap ammo for things that have a ready rack/magazine/clip/whateveryoucallit such as the Altay and K2 are now instant. The only tank that had that before was the Type 10 and it had to be done from a full rack. Now it doesn't care if there is a full rack or 1 round left. That is something that needs to be fixed. it should be a full rack if they want to implement it on other tanks and even then there should be a time delay in it as a penalty. I think in the K2 I was actually able to beat the actual reload by how I cycled from HEAT to AP. I'd have to actively try again to see if it is true which if it is so then the entire mechanic is broken. The insta-swap also works on the 2AX for some reason. I do like the penetration drop off on the MBT's. Not being able to snipe an MBT in an MBT from across the runway on Albatross is a good change. I'm sure that there is some sort of negative to this I haven't experienced yet. The introduction of HEAT to the 2AX was a nice addition. Still a lot of pixel hunting going on. The vision changes not so much. Things are disappearing right in front of you now (T14 on the move at 250 meters). I guess it goes back to how the vision range scales depending on the map and that should be addressed so a set spotting range is a set spotting range regardless of the map now that they are dialing the MBT's spotting range back. My initial opinion is that this is not going to address the actual issues.
  10. For me, I like GLOP's. It's....different, in a way curing some of the PvP issues but it has its other issues that come up too. I like the PvE aspect of it, but after a while it does get old doing the same maps over and over again. I think that once the Balance 3.0 gets implemented that some of the issues that are occurring in different game modes will make themselves more present and some will go away which would give a better look at what might be going on. I love the PvP in AW and I have ever since the first night will all the issues that came with the server.
  11. In any other game, I highly frown upon seal clubbing because unless you know who is who, you might actually make a new person quit. There are some I used to play with that their skill level was at low tier, and that was all they could play. In AW when people have issues even doing the basics I say its a free for all only if you can pull it off, but you are not allowed to get mad, upset, or anything else when you get your butt handed to you.
  12. I really hope that certain vehicles get reclassed. The T-15 is a prime example. it's an IFV not a TD. In my opinion if you class it as an AFV that would make "bringing it into the fold" a bit easier and would help the quality of life a bit.
  13. But I only want 1 garage and not have it change any time there is a patch that comes out. i wonder why we can't have a drop down to select a garage.
  14. It has been a long time since the discussion of battle tiers has come up. The last time I heard anything about that it was done away with when the server merge occurred.
  15. For example, I have the K2 battle hardened because I play it alot along with the Type 10. If you make it -1 then the only saving grace it has is an advantage to the tier 8's that won't see me. Not really a benefit to someone that battle hardens a tier 10.
  16. So how will battle hardening with tier 9's and 10's work then? You don't have to worry about preferential match making at tier 10? So what do you gain from it at that point?
  17. SS, This is where the issue lies. There is, based on what all the devs in any game like this says, a base line that says for this thing at that level this is where it should be at performance wise. It is already assumed that any other vehicle is "perfectly balanced" prior to release but when put to the test that isn't the case. It's true. Why would one want to buy another vehicle that gets power crept or nerfed after the fact due to it not actually being balanced when it is put to the test. Most developers such as AW's don't want to mess with a premium vehicle due to the back lash that is caused and hurt sales If this is going to be part of the new contract mission, it's stuff I'll do anyways so if I get it I get it great. But if after 5 or 6 battles in it if it's ~meh~ then it'll collect dust. There in lies the rub. If it is balanced but it is an under-performer compared to other similiar vehicles at that time, then who would want it. If it over performs then it pushes everything else out of the way then when it comes time to fix it you face the back lash. This is not a position I would envy you to be in. I'd love to do more PvP but prime time for AW is after I get home from work/gym and get settled down to want to play AW and there are some others in the same position. If you add in that there are people that do not want to do any sort of PvP that creates a larger issue. That causes an issue with what your definition of balance is, my definition of balance, and anyone elses definition is. They don't meet up in the right place. The Stalker is a prime example.
  18. Since you are already in the Wolfli branch, my choices would be: The Leopard 2A6: It is one of those tanks that is misunderstood. If you look at the raw DPM value, yeah it sucks. If you look at the gun handling and do an actual comparison across all the other tier 9's, it is the best in class. For that "lack" of DPM, it makes up for in shot consistency which puts it better than what the stats say. The armor is spooky good and is one of the most difficult tanks to kill if you have a good hull down position and relies on position more than any of the other tank series Right now the only things that can kill it through the turret when hull down are the MGM's and anything with PELE depending on the angle you hit it at. It can move and move well. Highly recommended. However, I would recommend going back through that part of the branch. The Leopard 2 and 2A5 is amazingly fun at tier 7 and 8 respectively. Leave the 2A4 Evo alone unless you want to pull your hair out. The Centauro 120: Amazing TD and is one of the old timers in the game. It use to be at tier 8 and was OP as f*** back then. it got tweaked a very long time ago and moved up to 9 and there is a ton of information out there on it. Highly recommended The Draco: The Draco is one of the old timers as well and has been pretty much the same as it always has been, minus a tweak here and there. Recommended but its a steep learning curve how to get the gun to work in your favor. The M1A2C: Never have been a fan of the M1 series. All I know of it is frustration. Recommended for a new person? Only if you have the patience to work with and through it.
  19. Zemosu, this isn't anything directed at you, but it is directed at the comment itself. My running mate summed up how to unlock the abilities of the Type 10 a few weeks ago confirming the training he got from me on it. The ability of this tank is buried in the little details. If you can not interface with it, if you can not sort out the little details, you and the Type 10 will not jive together and you will not do well in it at all. I love the PL01 but trust me, the PL01 doesn't hold a candle to the Type 10.
  20. Ever since the release of 0.32, there are some things that just stopped working correctly for tie in's for AW. For example: I started to get use to having the overlay on for Discord for voice comms For a few days after 0.32 came out I chalked up it not working at all to something else. I have gone through and did everything that I could find on Google to fix the overlay but it is no use. I have a Logitech G815 keyboard and use the dreaded Logitech GHub software for it. I have the lighting on the keyboard set up so that when AW starts, it shifts over, or at least it did. Now I have to do multiple alt-tabs between the desktop and the game to get the lighting to enable. Logitech is lacking in information in more ways than one regarding how the GHub works. Since there isn't a direct "short cut" to the running game file, I had to use the task manager to find what was running and link it to that file and it worked great until 0.32 rolled out. With the 0.32 patch roll out, I have had issues with the alt-tabbing out to the desktop. When I ran in any mode (windowless boarder, full screen, etc) where it would never work properly. Has anyone else had issues related to Discord and GHub not working correctly when it comes to AW since 0.32?
  21. So, here we are coming towards the end of this battle path. What happens to all the battle coins and boosters that you have when this battle path is over? You can't buy the Hunter a second time, all you get for it is about 3500 battle coins so trying to get the Hunter again for credits or gold is out. There is a 25% bonus to battle coins going right now.
  22. Reading through a lot of this, I'm interested to see where this goes........but..... This project is a huge undertaking. i do hope that when changes are made that they can be tested first before put onto the live server. Success with this will mean the world going forward, if they fail they might as well fall on their sword because it could be a death blow.
  23. Yeah, I started to see that last night as well. Also, to add to the list on my rig I have taken a 20 to 40 FPS hit. I've had all the graphics settings maxed out since the FPS limit sliders were installed. On Basillisk normally I've been over 100 at the last cap. Last night I didn't see anything over 80.
