  1. This is a new problem, really. Back in the day, you couldn't unlock the next tank in a progression line until you'd reached 100% on your current tank. And back in those days, 100% actually meant 100% - the tank was fully unlocked and upgraded, all options purchased and installed. The only thing that might remain was to fully upgrade your crew... especially at lower tiers your crew would often only be level 3 (or even level 2 at really low tiers) by the time you'd fully unlocked the tank. Now vehicles have so much overprogression on them (and not all of it is tagged as such and obvious) that you're unlocking the next vehicle long before your current vehicle is really 100% done. Then there's the further consideration of retrofits... is your vehicle "done" if it doesn't have a full set of level 2 retrofits? Personally, I keep playing a vehicle until it is fully unlocked and has all of its non-overprogression upgrades installed. (Or rather, all of the ones that aren't tagged as such in the UI.) Below Tier 8, though, I don't bother to purchase retrofits for them as that's just way too expensive with the game's current economy. I mark all of my not-yet-fully-upgraded vehicles as "favorites" and then typically keep those displayed. I only use "reserve" for expired rentals. Everything else just sits there in the garage with no tags so that I can find it if I want it. There have been a couple of times in the past when I've had all owned vehicles fully upgraded and nothing new to buy. When that happens, I use the "premium" filter and generally just have fun playing premiums. Or maybe I'll use the filter to display all of my Tier 10s and run through those once. Or whatever. When everything's already fully upgraded, you just play what you feel like playing at any given time. I rarely play lower than Tier 8 in those circumstances, though, just because it's generally easier finding matches at Tiers 8-10. But as long as I have tanks to grind, that's what I do. I bring up my favorites list and play each one once to use the daily x2 bonus, then play whichever one of them I feel like for a few matches. Note that as you're still grinding through the tech trees, you're much better off to grind them all at once rather than trying to get a single tree all the way to Tier 10 as fast as possible. This is due to the daily x2 bonus - the more of those you can use each day, the faster you progress overall. So spread out, unlock as much as you can, and grind everything together. This also helps with earnings - you should be able to keep up until Tier 7 or 8 even without using Premium time or boosters... what you earn while grinding a vehicle is normally sufficient to buy the next one. That falls behind if you use retrofits, though, which is one of the reasons I didn't equip anything below Tier 8 with retrofits as I was grinding. The only real benefit to unlocking everything is that you're then ready in case a new progression tank gets added. It's not likely to happen anymore, but back in the day they'd occasionally add a new progression tank and if you didn't have everything unlocked up to that point you couldn't access it. Note that Premium tanks aren't supposed to be better than Progression tanks - they're just supposed to be different. AW isn't terribly good at balancing, though, so especially in PvE there are Premium tanks that are pretty seriously OP. Of course there are also Progression tanks that are pretty seriously OP, too... I'm looking at you, T-15. But the basic idea remains true - the game is not pay-to-win, so you really do not need to own any Premium tanks to be competitive. They do pretty dramatically increase your credit earnings, though!
  2. Because it's haaarrrrrd. Two of the applications that I use for work can't even remember their window positions on the screen. One of them always starts in the center of the screen, while the other always starts fullscreen. Mind you, the former is a chat program and the latter is a project management program and I have a 32" monitor. While it's not that big of a deal for the chat program to always start in the center of the screen, I do not need to have 32" of project management program to do my job. Ever.
  3. That's pretty much it in a nutshell. The hype was completely overblown which was obvious to those of us who regularly use similar "glass cannon" style vehicles. It's not a vehicle for tight, constrained maps. But it's great on maps where you can use range and camo to support your front-line fighters without drawing attention. What really keeps it in check is its inability to consistently and confidently bounce incoming AC fire. It's going to take damage even from a Tier 8 (read: non-Superior) Bradley. If you're good enough and have teammates you can work with (whether platooned or just randos) you can make it work on a maps like Banshee, Dire Wolf (at the start), and Ghost Hunter (at the end), but it's not optimal.
  4. TL;DR - I've wanted a Premium T-15 for basically forever, and this comes pretty close. Offense The Kurganets has 3 separate weapon systems, 4 if you count the coaxial machine gun. Each is good, but each also has limitations. 57mm Autocannon (AP only): good penetration (320mm), decent damage (140), good rate of fire (200 rpm, 20-round clip, 480 total rounds), deceptively poor accuracy. What, you ask? Yeah the accuracy rating of 0.08 is only while it is fully aimed, which is realistically only your first shot in a burst. It's "largest circle" accuracy is almostly meme-tasticly bad, fully encircling a Bradley at any kind of decent range (which is where you're going to want to fight, but more on that later). You can single fire, of course, but that means you're waiting for it to re-aim after every shot which lowers your ROF to 1 shot every 1.5 seconds or so. This is still a great weapon against any kind of soft target, though, since its pen is high enough that you don't really need to aim all that accurately. Clip reload is 8 seconds so you can get away with only using the AC if you really want to, but there's basically no reason to do so. See next weapon. Bulat ATGM-TB: poor pen (30mm), good damage (320 thermobaric), insane rate of fire (120 rpm for an ATGM, 8-round clip, 320 total rounds), deceptively good accuracy. Again, huh? It's weird, but even though these are ATGMs they do not seem to be affected by soft kill APS. They will get shot down by hard kill, but honestly that's a good thing since these come in clips of 8. It's reasonably easy to hit the green areas on a T-15 with these, for instance, while a regular ATGM veers off on its way to mars if fired anywhere remotely near an Armata. And yes, there are green spots on a T-15 - these are TB ATGMs so they have a different armor map than regular HEAT-based ATGMs. The smoke launchers on either side of the mid hull of a T-15 are green from most angles, and you can hit them. The front deck is also mostly green if you have a height advantage. Translation: you can obliterate T-15s with these. They'll also do chip damage to most armor, which is only ~50 but with 8 missiles per clip that's still decent. The clip reload is 12 seconds which isn't bad at all. The down side is that it takes 4 seconds to empty the clip and then you have to hold aim until all of the missiles reach your target, so you're pretty exposed while using these. Kornet-E ATGM: good pen (1150mm), good damage (1000 HEAT), normal rate of fire (pretty standard 4 seconds between missiles, 24 seconds to fully reload, 4 missiles in the rack). Not much to say here, as these are pretty standard high-tier ATGMs. Meaning that they're really good against just about any target, but can be difficult to control when there's soft kill APS around. I find that I don't actually use them all that much because in PvE the first 2 weapon systems are all that you need, but there are times when neither of them will pen the only target(s) you have available and these will. So they're handy to have around. Defense Armor? What's that? Don't be fooled by the numbers - 90/165 Hull, 210/370 Turret for AP/HEAT. That doesn't stop anything but coax and maybe certain fragile/weak bot autocannons. The reality is that you have no armor and have to play as if you have no armor. 2100 base health isn't going to keep you alive for long when literally anything other than a machine gun that hits you does damage. That said, the 20% base camo is actually useful because you're going to be fighting from range as much as you can. Every little bit of camo helps at range as it tilts the VR battle in your favor. Your base VR is 370, but I immediately equipped it with Augmented Optics and Telescopic Lenses and 405/475 is workable with 20% camo. Your best bet is to rely on teammates for spotting, though, and to use Ophelia (if you have her) so that when you get suddenly spotted by a random Lieutenant you don't insta-vaporize. Maneuverability is good - it feels like a smaller, quicker, more maneuverable T-15. By that I mean that it still feels a bit weird because it has a rear turret like the T-15, but it isn't as long or as wide so it doesn't feel like a wallowing whale the way a T-15 does. Note that it's technically slower than the T-15 (70 kph vs 80 kph), but it accelerates much faster so has more useful speed than the T-15. The Kurganets also has 360-degree smoke, which is significantly more useful than either hull or turret aimed smoke especially for a fragile vehicle that needs to be able to pop smoke immediately when spotted without having to figure out which direction to aim the smoke. Summary In PvE you're just going to cycle back and forth constantly between the AC and the TBs, and you can do that pretty close to constantly for an entire match. I have yet to run out of ammo for any of the weapons in a PvE match, though I'm sure it's possible. The limiting factor is your defense which means you can't just constantly toggle weapons and keep firing, but on some maps (read: Perseus) you can come pretty close from the right sniping perch. Due to its mix of weapons and huge ammo loads, it's pretty easy to out-damage a T-15. The T-15's advantage is armor so realistically it's still the high tier OP King, but if you're a support fire player like me and you know how to position yourself to provide maximum fire support for your teammates, 40k and even 50k damage matches become routine (on maps where that's reasonable... some maps simply don't have enough targets to get there no matter how good your vehicle is). Good games for me in the T-15 might reach 35k or 40k. I'm averaging 26k damage so far in the Kurganets (which includes losses, etc) but only 21k in the T-15. Granted that's only 35 matches in the Kurganets vs 245 in the T-15, but it feels representative to me. I don't play PvP in AW but if I had to guess then I'd say the Kurganets probably isn't that good in PvP. It can do a lot of damage pretty quickly, but has no real armor and isn't actually all that good at the VR game. So I suspect it's "fine" as far as AW is concerned and hopefully it won't get nerfed. So for me, at least, this is the best BP reward vehicle in ... possibly ever. It's the only one that I'm likely to keep in my daily play rotation.
  5. Purchases refreshed about 1.5 hours ago... everything will refresh in about another 2.5 hours... and then during the server maintenance things should refresh again. Get online and buy those 10:1 BC boosts!
  6. The pending charges disappeared, so looks like I'm not getting the bundle. Oh well, their loss. I'd have even kept both purchases if they'd gone through, so AW is out $310 because the My.Games store is so crappy and inconsistent.
  7. I'm pretty sure they're both working. At 1am CET (4 pm Pacific) anything you have purchased refreshes. Then at 5am CET (8 pm Pacific) everything refreshes whether it has been purchased or not. It also appears to refresh (full) any time there's a server reboot or other server-side activity. Key takeaway: you have a 4-hour window to get an extra 10:1 BC boost every day.
  8. Oh right, I forgot about CC via Paypal! I'll have to try that next time and see if it works any better. Still nothing today. It typically takes 3 days for a "pending" transaction to resolve, so I'm not really expecting anything to happen until Monday.
  9. At one point in history they implemented logic that would move spawns to different spawn points if a bot was going to spawn near a player, but it seems that the logic either broke or they haven't continued to implement it as time as passed. There are still clear remnants of it in the game, though, because bots will spawn differently on some maps depending on where the players are at the time. As Haswell implied, though, the best thing to do is to learn the spawn points and times on the different maps and then simply avoid them when they are dangerous. But do note that as I said above, spawn points do change on some maps based on where the players are, so a location that may seem safe for several missions in a row may turn out to be dangerous later if your teammates are in weird/unusual positions at the time of the spawn.
  10. I don't have a Paypal account. When I buy cheap stuff, it basically shows up instantly in the My.com Inventory. This pack still hasn't shown up. I suspect (but have no way to prove) that American Express has had too many refund requests regarding My.com purchases and so is messing with larger purchases in some way. Hopefully this will just die off at Amex and I won't have to take any further action (it's currently still listed with a "Pending" status). If it just disappears, then no harm no foul other than My.com not getting $155 that I was perfectly willing to give them. My.com's back-end systems are so terrible that their own Support staff often cannot find transactions even when they processed correctly. The last time I made a larger purchase it happened twice so I needed to get one of them refunded, but Support couldn't find either of them. After a couple of rounds of back-and-forth I finally got them to explicitly state that I should contest the charge with American Express, which was then sufficient for Amex to reverse the charge from their end.
  11. It. Isn't. An. Auction. Stop trying to think of it like an auction. It isn't one, at least not legally. You're purchasing stupid stickers for an increasing price, and in the end the biggest idiot is awarded with a booby prize.
  12. No, they use whichever package rate is best for them for whatever purpose that they have in mind. It isn't a fixed rate, which is why it is so difficult to figure out how much something costs. This is by design. I tried to buy the T9 TD package today and got a "transaction failed" message. I checked to make sure it hadn't gone through... Inventory was empty, so I tried again. "Transaction failed" again. Just to be sure, I checked my credit card. Both transactions are there and in a "Pending" status. So I went to Support to file a ticket, and they say to allow 24 hours for processing. Riiight. I'm sensing that I'm going to be telling Amex to reverse the charges again, because My.com's story will be that they can't find the transaction even if I give them the transaction number from Amex. Seems like they're capable of processing small purchases, but any time I try to give them more than about $8 they can't handle the transaction and screw it up.
  13. I managed to pull together a platoon to do this yesterday afternoon. Thanks to Maf, Rick, and Spyshadow for helping me get these done! I'm available to help others (these really weren't that hard) if you see me online.
  14. NEWS OFFER: TIER 7-9 BUNDLES PREVIOUS DEC 22ND | 2020 Commanders! This week, we’ve prepared an additional set of attractive bundles. Each of these bundles contains multiple vehicles and comes with a massive discount. The following items will be available until December 25, 2020 (15:00 CET): Tier 9 Tank Destroyer Bundle (50% off) – this epic bundle contains the following Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyers: QN-506, Abrams AGDS, Stryker ADATS and Leclerc T40 Tier 8 Tank Destroyer Bundle (50% off) – this epic bundle contains the following Tier 8 Premium Tank Destroyers: M1134, BMPT Mod.2017, AMX 10 RCR and Bradley AAWS-H Tier 8 Main Battle Tank Bundle (50% off) – this epic bundle contains the following Tier 8 Premium Main Battle Tanks: Type 96B, T-72B3, Challenger Falcon and Leopard Revolution Tier 7 Main Battle Tank Bundle (50% off) – this epic bundle contains the following Tier 7 Premium Main Battle Tanks: Type 90, Merkava Mk.2D, K1A1, Object 187 and M1A1 Storm If you own a bundle vehicle already, you will receive its price in Gold instead. We hope that you will enjoy the offer and, as always: See you on the battlefield! For once an offer that might actually be interesting? The Tier 7 bundle doesn't interest me because the only one I don't own is the Merkava 2D, and I really have no interest in it. And could buy it easily from the dealer if I did want it. I could go ahead and get it anyway for the Gold that I'd get from the 4 that I already own, but that'd be 22k Gold for $99 which is basically what Gold costs anyway. So not worth it. The Tier 8 MBT bundle don't interest me at all, which is oddly because I don't have any of those vehicles. I have a 96B Red Dragon and a T-72B3 Green, so would get copies of those instead of Gold. I don't need copies of vehicles. The Tier 8 TD bundle is kind of meh for me. The only one I don't already own is the M1134 which I could buy from the dealer if I wanted it. And 9k Gold x 3 for the other vehicles is only doing a little better than actual cost (27k Gold for $99 instead of 24k Gold for 100 EU). So... nah, I'll pass. The Tier 9 bundle, though, is interesting. I already have the AGDS, ADATS, and T40. Assuming those vehicles are all worth 14k Gold (IIRC that was the price of the LeClerc T40), then I could pay $155 for the bundle and receive 14 x 3 = 42k Gold plus the QN-506. 42k Gold is nominally worth $175 by itself so only slightly better than just buying Gold, but I've always kind of wanted the QN-506 which I'd effectively get for free. I'll have to think about that for a bit. Do I really need 42k Gold? Doubtful... so that makes it a more difficult decision.
  15. Definitely. At least in this case, though, it's super obvious that it's shady as fuck so hopefully people won't get fooled by it. Loot crates are also shady as fuck, but they're not nearly as obvious so people get sucked into buying them all the time.
  16. I used to use my Tier 7 Stingray II Black Eagle to complete the LT missions for SpecOps because I perform better in that in a Tier 8 mission than I do in the Tier 8 M8 Buford. LTs are squishy, so the ability to dump a few shots and then hide to reload is very valuable in the confined spaces of most SpecOps missions. I use either Juan Carlos, Erin, or Ophelia depending on the mission. Erin is the best camo, but Juan Carlos is better vision with at least some camo. So if there are reasonable spotting positions in an otherwise open mission I'll use Juan Carlos, otherwise I'll use Erin and just snipe. (Carefully.) Ophelia is for missions that aren't open enough for vision/camo to be useful, such as Plague.
  17. I doubt it. You're making a purchase (of some stupid decals that only work in your My.Games platform profile, they're not AW decals). The cost of that purchase escalates every time someone buys it, so if you really really really want some useless decals for your My.Games profile, buy early. Then, at the end, whoever paid the most gets a bonus prize. You are not buying the bonus prize - you are buying My.Games profile decals. You are charged immediately for your purchased and your product (decals) is delivered. Transaction complete and it's all perfectly legal.
  18. NEWS BATTLE ROYAL IS COMING TO MY.GAMES MARKET! PREVIOUS DEC 21ST | 2020 Commanders! Today and today only, MY.GAMES Market will be hosting a special new event called Battle Royal, available via the platform’s portal. During this event, you’ll be given the opportunity to purchase special items on offer. The price you pay for the item will count as a bid in an auction for an epic prize. Bid the most and you’ll receive one of these amazing prizes in addition to the special item you purchased: Magach 7A Improved Bundle T-72M2 Wilk Improved Bundle T-72M2 Wilk Prime Bundle K1A1 Military Bundle Marder 2 Tier 8 Premium AFV Sentinel Skin Bundle CATTB Loot Crate Object 640 Loot Crate The way it works is simple – much like an auction. The event is available periodically. With each round of this event, players can purchase an item (which they will always receive) and use its price as an entry into a bidding contest for the main prize (listed above). With each player purchase, the price of the base item increases. The highest bidder (the player who submitted the highest bid using the mechanism above) will receive the epic prize. The bid ranking is public; you always know what the highest bid is. It’s important to note that while you will always receive the special item you purchased, only the highest bidder will receive the special prize. Please note: Anyone can participate in this event, there are no user restrictions By participating in the Battle Royal event, players consent to having their nicknames displayed in the bidding table on the MY.GAMES Market Battle Royal page Players participate in the event by purchasing promotional (special) items Only the highest bidder will receive the round’s ultimate prize, listed above the promotional item you need to purchase to participate The prize and quantity of the promotional item changes with every purchase In case several players purchase an item at the same time (for the same price), the player whose payment completes the earliest will be placed the highest in the bidding ranking In case a player purchases an item (and thus places a bid) with 10 minutes or less left to the end of a round, the round is extended by 10 minutes (this happens with every subsequent purchase) Please make sure you understand these rules before participating in this event. We are looking forward to your comments regarding Battle Royal – please press the Feedback button on the event’s page to open a form, where you can let us know your opinions. See you on the battlefield! There doesn't seem to be an appropriate forum for this, so I'm dropping it here. I'd normally ignore something like this other than just taking a look at the announcement, but in this case they've gone overboard to make it clear that you will always get the item you purchase. Okay, great... I'm mean, I would hope so, right? So that made me wonder what those items actually are. And I'm still wondering. Anyone have any idea what this stuff is? (Other than the vehicles, of course.) Clicking on the items for more info doesn't help. (It's not letting me attach the screenshot I took... I'll attach later if I can figure out what's wrong. Max upload is 0.18 MB?) Ah, didn't realize we had a total uploads limit. I've purged some old ones and now have room.
  19. I'd love to be part of a platoon for this purpose. I do realize that (as Haswell said) it's easier to do this spur-of-the-moment using the Discord, but in my case it is actually easier to arrange something for a future date and then make it an appointment. My play time is otherwise very random and of limited duration, so the time needed to put together a platoon and only then play a couple of matches makes it almost impossible for me to do. I'm GMT-8 (Pacific time, West coast of the US), but by planning ahead I can play during the day so that I'm available during the evening for Europe.
  20. It is. But it's in the game, so you can't really fault people for playing it. I just finished a match (Stormy Winter) in a K2 that had a GAU-8 and a Wilk in it. I still got 9 kills and 2nd most damage. I was helped by the fact that the ATDU was a total putz. Yeah the GAU-8 got most damage and most kills, but I was far from a spectator in my K2. That's a good way to get yourself banned. All it takes is a couple of people reporting you for abandonment.
  21. No no no... I think he meant that we get paid to win. I got my December check already, didn't you guys?
  22. Sorted all decals, flags, skins, camouflages and base paints into new categories Recently acquired flags, decals and camouflages now appear in the Recent category These are nice QOL changes. Is it really 5%, though, or is it 2.5%? "Another ammo switch rate skill was replaced by one increasing the shell damage randomization boundaries by 5%" sounds to me like it increases each end by 2.5% for 5% total, though I could see how it could also be read as 5% on each end. I guess we'll find out. If it is indeed 5%, then yeah that's a pretty serious buff for a commander that doesn't really need one. His 10% damage buff already makes him one of the better commanders... raising that to 15% is kind of insane. Also, two of their skill counts are off: (rows are letters top down, columns are numbers left to right.) Sabrina actually has 4 Tier 1 ammo swap rate skills. (A3, B3, D1, D2) If all 4 get replaced by even a small reload buff (the smallest are currently Freja's 0.6% "Defending I" skills that only apply in your base), that might make me want to finish leveling her up. I left her at level 11 because that's where I needed her to get my Commander tree built, but I could literally just add those 4 skills to my current build if I wanted to. No reset needed. Andrey has 5 Tier 1 ammos swap rate skills. (B4, C1, C4, C7, E4) These are harder to fully use if you're doing the usual "crew killer" build for him, but they're all well within reach if they're big enough boosts. Note that he already has 2 x Continuous Fire III (1.9% reload for TDs), so if all of of the new skills plus both of those can be put into a single build then we may have a new meta Commander for TDs.
  23. Mine literally just refreshed 2 days in a row after I "bought" the Kurganets. First I had the Expeditionary Tank (which I already own), that refreshed to the MBT-70 (which I already own), and then yesterday it offered the Type 89 IFV (which I already own). I wasn't paying attention prior to that. That said, it did not refresh for me this morning (still Type 89 for the 2nd day in a row) so now I don't know what's going on.

    Cyberpunk 2077

Yeah that's a good indication that my setup wouldn't be good enough. I have an I5-4690k and a GTX 770 with a 1440p monitor. Works great for AW (mostly on medium) but probably can't handle a more modern game.
  25. I did wonder if this was what they meant. I suspect that "no Arty platoons" just means that you can't go in with a platoon that consists only of Artillery. Nevermind that the Pindad is effectively artillery...
