  1. Skins are possible, but I haven't had much luck in modifying them yet because I can't figure out how to merge the mipmaps back together. @Sebastian_Grimm might know more about this.
  2. https://aw.my.games/en/news/general/maintenance-may-15-0 SH4 getting easier than it already is, I'm not sure how I feel about dumbing down already easy content. I guess solopubs might be easier now? I wonder what will this update break...
  3. It's not. It's there to make you think the other two offers are good deals, and people actually fall for it. Remember unlike physical goods, digital goods lack the cost of manufacturing, so they don't lose any money by throwing up outrageous offers. They in fact earn a handy profit when suckers fall for it.
  4. Most AW replays will be way larger than 5MB, typically treading into the 20MB range. Because the forum server has limited disk space available (hence the 5MB upload quota for everyone), it's best to upload the replays elsewhere and link them here instead. I recommend file hosters such as https://www.mediafire.com or https://mega.nz, but it's up to your preference to use whatever file hosting service you want.
  5. It's official now. https://aw.my.games/en/news/general/development-battle-path-enigmas-legacy I'm not quite sure I like the idea of mission sets unlocking at higher ranks, since it means there will be a need to grind for coins just to unlock the missions. That is assuming the mission sets will have goodies at the end as well, so there's a potential for the whole BP to be one massive grindfest. Definitely not a fan of the missions requiring specific vehicles to be completed. Assuming the mission requirements will be just as terrible as the previous BPs, having to grind them out in what already look like mediocre vehicles sounds like nothing but pain and suffering. I also have a sneaking suspicion that the coin requirements for advancing up the ranks will be a lot higher this time as well, since everybody had the opportunity to stockpile coins from spec ops boxes for months now.
  6. Mirroring this from Discord, because it's a mess to ask for opinions in a chat room without filters or categorization. Personally I'm in support of this, but ONLY if there will be a limit or diminishing returns on the stacking effect. Otherwise the game will become bush kemp warfare and everything will revolve around superior vision control. One of the reasons why I support this is due to the inherent difficulty in stacking camo without commander skills (I'm looking at you Erin). New and existing players who don't have access to such commanders already have a much harder time at vision control, as they are at a severe disadvantage in terms of their base camo rating. This can be attributed to poor map design not providing enough distance for high view ranges to be an effective alternative to high camo ratings, so allowing more opportunities for players to improve their camo with foliage and positioning will help somewhat in addressing the problem. On the other hand, I was made aware that this change will potentially destroy the current PvP meta and vision control will reign supreme. I have no experience in PvP, so someone else should comment on it. Supplementary info: https://armoredlabs.net/index.php?/topic/18-spotting-and-camouflage-officially/
  7. https://aw.my.games/en/news/general/contest-spirithaven-speedrun I'm definitely interested in this, it would be a lot more interesting than farming Leviathan over and over again. LF team, I charge 5 headpats per hour.
  8. There's no post size limit AFAIK, and the forum uses lazy loading for images and other media. This means that images will only load when the user scrolls down far enough to see them, improving overall load times and not killing bandwidth.
  9. Jesus christ can you two just call a truce? You are both right.
  10. https://armoredlabs.net/index.php?/forum/8-shenanigans/ Anything not directly related to the game can go there.
  11. It's honestly very poorly explained in the game, if anything I would prefer the listed damage range to exclude the damage bonus to make the numbers more consistent. I think the new missiles will perform similarly to the HOT-3 on the Mephisto, since the numbers match up so far. If that is indeed the case the new missiles will be a straight up buff from the old ones, at the expense of no launcher elevation/depression. I hope they will get autohoming too, but I'm not holding my breath.
  12. This is where he got 665 from, and he's not wrong. Take the listed average damage of 665, multiply that by 1.1 (because +/- 10% RNG), the base damage can only roll up to 731.5 at most. The damage bonus from hitting thin armor however, is applied AFTER the base damage roll. Take 731.5 and multiply that by 1.3, you get 950.95 (rounds up to 951). This is why the damage bonus is listed only as +30%, not +40%. But yes, your practical average damage for most things HEAT will tend to be higher than the listed average damage, because you'll usually be benefiting from the thin armor damage bonus. The 760 average damage for the new missiles is most likely the listed value, before the +30% damage bonus.
  13. Give us a download link already damn it.
  14. If it will truly have Kornet missiles, then it will probably be a tier 9. But why do we need yet another Termi variant? We already have the Termi proto, the Ramka, the 2017 and the Termi 2. What's the point of this one?
  15. Looks like the tier 10 equivalent of a Leo 1, meh. Unless it has amazing DPM, I have serious doubts about the Type 10's capabilities. From the look of things even the PL-01 seems to be a better squishy than this, and it actually has good camo to boot. Color me not impressed.
  16. I'm terrible at visual art, but I like vehicles to actually look somewhat realistic. Here's what I have right now: I'm using the Drought camo color mapping for this, because it's free and easy for anyone to get through the Magach line. For the base paints I'm using Late Nato, Desert Wind and Steel. The shading looks a bit off, but I'm not sure how to describe it. A bit too dark maybe? Blocks are too big? Help and critiques are appreciated. I haven't touched the UI icon yet, because this isn't final. https://mega.nz/file/QcxDTZpD#U75Aqa8KpcWPrVh9DAI_K7jnGQAwJPfon_0l6yc4Rm0 Installation notes: Ready your loose files for modding (as outlined in the modding guide) This mod replaces camo_camo_dealer_is_01.dds under gamesdk\objects\vehicles\textures_universal\camo_paint\camo_textures. Backing up the files is recommended. Unzip the downloaded contents into the game directory, replace the files you've already backed up.
  17. You mean like this? Whoever is left spotting the target, as long as the target is being spotted only by them, gets credit for assist damage.
  18. Found some hints about the next BP. It will supposedly be called Enigma's Legacy, but that might change. We can probably guess the theme though. Pay no heed to the Griffin 120 or York or Brosat references, those are likely just copy/pasted strings from the last BP out of laziness. I sometimes do the same as well. I can somewhat deduce a few things from this: It will be related to the SH story, too bad I paid no attention to it. Similar to the previous BPs, there will be 4 mission paths, 3 of which are probably ticket unlocks and the last one only available after the first 3 are completed. There may not be stupid restrictions (ie. HEAT only, shell caliber, vehicle class) to the mission paths this time, since the descriptions don't reference anything specific. We know there will be 5 reward vehicles for the BP. Assuming the mission paths offer existing vehicles again, that's at least 3 (maybe 4) vehicles unlockable from leveling up the BP and 1 from lootboxes. I'm not too certain about this though, since it's all placeholders for now. Vaults. Fallout x Armored Warfare anyone?
  19. In that case yes, B does get the assist. I knew I forgot an example.
  20. Assists (not assist damage) requires you to deal the most damage to a target out of everyone who shot at it, without destroying it. 51% of the target's total hitpoints is the highest you need, but not the lowest. Ie. Players A, B and C all shot at a target. Player A dealt 40% of the target's hitpoints, B dealt 35%, C dealt 25% and killed it. Player A gets the assist credit.
  21. Let's say you get 10000 credits before any multipliers. If you have a +30% bonus active, then you get 10000 + (10000 * 0.3) = 13000. The above equation can be reduced to 10000 * 1.3 = 13000 I only use the free 1d premium time once per week, when I'm running heroics so I can maximize my XP and credit income. All other times I play without premium time.
  22. Pubbies are truly retarded. I think I'll just move this thread out of the venting room and turn it into an official name and shame thread, so there aren't several dozen of threads saying the same thing over and over again.
