And of course @Katsumoto received the entire vehicle upon opening the first crate... wow.

Yeah, I'm still surprised about that because normally if the grand prize was to get struck by lightning I'd still come in last place.  In before the "reported for being a hack"....

However a break down for my other window licker character.

    • 5 Part of a ZTQ-15 Special Crate (1 per crate)
    • 12 Parts of ZTQ-15  (5, 5, 1, 1)

You know there are websites that do the thing with the funny messages and oops! moments that shouldn't have gone out....yeah that word should of have been "squishy"......but I'm good with coining a new word.  My damn auto correct on the phone decided for the first time to not fix something.

This is really ironic, and a feast for conspiracy theorists!

Let us know how it performs please... you are probably among the first to drive it.

Its a VT-5 with a bit extra pen here and there.  Add in the suspension stuff and a hair bit of squechy and that is the ZTQ

  4. Haswell,

I've kept a bit quiet about this for the most part because you do have a point.  This me-good-you-suck mentality exists and it seems to split along national lines and it needs to end.  At times in AW going back to the beginning it had its up and down.  Some times it was pretty severe, and when times were good they were great.

The issue I have with the Russians isn't who is good and who is bad.  I have issue with their attitudes.

I lost count of the number of times I was hull down in a key location in a PvE match by myself with zero help.  There is always that one that pings the map and complains about secondaries and they are in an AFV or LT  just farming away damage, pinging on my location about why I'm not doing something.  Sorry, gun is reloading and there is too much coming at me to be able to get out of the spot I'm in, take a number.  In the back of my mind, my thought is "Better yet, why don't you go and get it?  You are providing zero help at the moment?"

Or last night I'm in the QN-506 needing to do the mission for the event and I need to grind the crew.  I stop in a location trying to wait for the spawn to clear out, providing what help I can, tracking tanks and getting my whimpy 56 HP of damage in one rocket at a time.  One of the other MBT's come from my far left, circles back around and comes in right behind me and pushes me out of the place I just happened to stop right out into the open and he fires his gun and I get all the incoming fire meant for him.

In these examples, take a guess at the nationality.

In a team game, the ones that are good are damn good.  There are the ones that squeak by, they get a pass for at least showing up and trying, clutch shot here and there.  It's the others that go out of their way to not work as part of that team to win the match, or they do something that pegs the ThatWasDumb'ometer for whatever reason and create more problems than they solve.  They ping the map for you to go "fetch" (yes, I was told to go fetch a secondary in an MBT so they could in a Marauder go farm damage).  I've seen PvP matches get thrown because someone accidentally brushed up against a Russian at the beginning of the match as they all rush to the same location and decided that it was an horrendous act that required repayment.   But you see a significant amount of this behavior from them.

As for the loud mouths in chat that blame everyone but themselves for why something doesn't go their way since based on what they claim they are the best thing since the invention of sliced bread and fire so its everyone elses fault.  Everyone has kinda figured out what their geographical locations are and they aren't Russian from what I've seen so yeah those reinforce your point that you made.

It's the attitude, and that is what draws my criticism of them.

  5. Time.

Make sure if you are going to do like @knutliott and @dfnce said, make sure you have time to set aside to do the events and get the most out of all the boosters.

For me when I'm in full tilt grind mode in PvE, i can do about 12 to 13 battles in 2 hours reliably.  If I use a 12 hour booster, I can do at most 4 of the 12 hours, 3 is more realistic.  Doing GLOP's I can run about 4 battles per hour given que times and how long a full battle lasts if it is competitive from the start of the match.  Once you figure out what your cadence is you can set your plan accordingly.

I know that there is a spread sheet floating around here somewhere that has the rough values for how much you can earn per hours for credits and experience so you can balance out what you need versus what boosters to run and what mode to run.

If you are going to run a premium vehicle, find one that fits you. There are some that are awesome vehicles but if you don't get along well with it then it isn't worth the hassle of having it where if you have one that you are good with it might be better to run that than say a suggested vehicle due to this feature or that bonus.

  6. OS: Windows 10 Professional, 64-bit, Version 2004

    Game Version: 24.09.2020

Brief Description: When viewing the front of an MBT at an angle, if you move the cursor over the front part of the tank and the "Wheel" is on the opposite side of the tank, it will show that the "Wheel" will receive component damage.

    Affected tanks:  Almost any MBT.

Steps to Reproduce: Go to the armor viewer and view the tank from the front.  If you offset to one side or the other a bit and have the cursor over the point where the rear wheel is on the opposite side of the tank it will show up.

Result: Shows wheel getting component damage

Expected Behavior: should not display this.

    Fixes/Workarounds: none

  10. I'll just leave this right here.

This is with the BVP M-80A and the twin 30mm cannon.  The view gun sight is way above the normal view perspective of what we would consider normal.

However, even at longer ranges as you see here, aim for the point and all the rounds go low.

This will go into the bug column.

It would be funny if they add woke Magnus in the game.

I'm sitting here giggling a little bit about this because the statement below is why this is an issue.

0.33 was deemed "sufficient" after PTS2 for release. The release is also partially forced by deadlines and milestones.

I wonder where the QA department was at.  But hey, in regards to the avatar:  GREAT IDEA!  Let's add new avatars!  Never mind the fact that the players have to face hug the screen to see what tanks are on their team....

Overall feedback for 0.33 is positive...

    Really?

This one leaves a lot of people speechless.

    4 hours ago, Haswell said:

One reason for the 0.33 changes is to "make the game feel more fresh". (note: different, yes. Fresh, probably not.)

    Huh?

    4 hours ago, Haswell said:

Abrams series will be remodeled, and possibly the T-80U next.

They have talked about fixing the Abrams model for years now.  I won't hold my breath.

    These two get me:

    4 hours ago, Haswell said:

MBT armor being homogenized and made boring is because "the developers wish it so". Devs want to change the meta from learning weakspots to simply checking distance and swapping ammo. (note: literally removing skill from the game)

    4 hours ago, Haswell said:

ATGM chip damage is intended to counter long range hulldown invulnerability and reward players for hitting things. The chip damage isn't effective in PvP. (note: if it has that little effect in PvP, why add it in the first place?)

This seems to be an attempt to "dumb down" the game to the casual level.

  13. This is starting to become a bit of a bear.

I really really wish that the developers would include patch notes that included EVERYTHING they touched.  Things that look like they might be a bug might be intentional, but since there are incomplete patch notes how can we tell if this an issue or a feature?  If they changed the credit earnings, they they should have had it in the patch notes.

The one thing I did like about Obsidian was that they were more open to discussion.  Now if you try to bring up an issue to someone on the Discord server, you have no idea if the message was received since there is no feedback loop.

  14. ...undocumented changes (in an attempt to be "productive"):

    • The K2's upgrade choices for guns is now the following:
      • 120mm/L55 with a magazine loader with 3 rounds
      • 120mm/L55 with read rack with 3 rounds
    • The Type 10 changes besides the vision changes:
      • Reload time for a complete magazine was increased from 12.44 to 14.22 seconds
      • Aim time changed from 1.39 to 1.22 seconds
      • Accuracy was changed from 0.60 to 0.86
      • Shell penetration changed from 825 mm at close range to 855 mm at close range.
      • Damage for AP shells went from 560 to 590.
      • There were changes to the HEAT round but no before hand data.
