Qbicle 109 Posted February 19 (edited) Source: https://armoredwarfare.com/en/news/general/shadow-protocol-battle-path-info-and-preorder Quote Today, we’d like to tell you more about the upcoming Shadow Protocol Battle Path campaign as a whole along with the changes and improvements we’ve prepared for you. Preorder You can now secure the access to the Battle Path early (and with preorder-exclusive items) in the Web Shop “Battle Path” section. The following bundles are available: Shadow Protocol access with the Mists of Winter camouflage, the Winter Mercenary player avatar and the Cold-Hearted player title Shadow Protocol access with 50.000 Battle Coins, the Mists of Winter camouflage, the Winter Mercenary player avatar and the Cold-Hearted player title Shadow Protocol access with 10 Battle Coin boosters, the Mists of Winter camouflage, the Winter Mercenary player avatar and the Cold-Hearted player title For more details about the Shadow Protocol Battle Path, please read below. The bundles are available in our Web Shop: Shadow Protocol With this Battle Path, we are returning to the format of previous Battle Path. The Shadow Protocol Battle Path doesn’t offer a story to follow. Instead, it has two themes – mercenaries, and the past, the present and the future of warfare. Its topic can therefore be divided into three parts: Mercenary history (covering the conflicts that involved mercenaries, starting from the Golden Age that were the sixties, to the 2000s) Contemporary mercenary history (from the Caucasus to the Middle East) Future warfare (where the focus shifts towards the Pacific theater of operations) The assets will be theme-appropriate with some of the most badass camouflages, decals and titles to date. Prizes Speaking of rewards, there will be 50 levels packed full of prizes. As usual, we’ve prepared three brand-new vehicles for you: T-64BV Mod.2022 Tier 8 Premium MBT for reaching Level 20 Borsuk Tier 10 Premium AFV for reaching Level 35 (with its new Repair Zone ability) KNIFV NLOS LPS Tier 10 Premium TD for reaching Level 50 As usual, you will also be able to claim a large number of camouflages, skins, decals, base paints, and much more. But that’s not everything – not by a longshot. What else is new? Good news, commanders. We’ve kept the low prices you’ve been enjoying in the Seahawks Battle Path, which means that each level will only cost 4.500 Battle Coins. What we have changed, however, are the prizes. Practically every second level now offers a Battle Coin booster reward (amongst other things). The missions have been overhauled once again. This time, each mission will be possible to complete in any Tier 4 to Tier 10 vehicle. Since missions are not mandatory to receive your dose of Battle Path boosters, we’ve ramped the difficulty up – but also the prizes: Finishing each of the four chains will award you with an exclusive skin that will not be available by any other means Finishing each of the first three chains will also award you with 5 Mercenary Loot Crates Finishing the top chain with the most difficult missions will award you with 15 whopping Mercenary Loot Crates Mercenary Loot Crates are another new Loot Crates, exclusive to this Battle Path. They work much like the Iron Loot Crates. From EACH such crate, you can receive: Premium vehicle (Tier 3 to Tier 10, including TOS-1M, Boxer RIWP, EMBT, Puma and many more) Premium commander (including Ophelia Kitescu or Alexander Cortez) No “last ditch” prizes such as Platinum Loot Crates or Boosters. Just vehicles, commanders, or, if you have the drop already, its full price in Gold as a compensation. And with 30 boxes on the line, that is one hell of a deal. And, last but not least, we have added a couple of things to the Battle Path shop as usual – for the standardized prices, of course. Conclusion The rest of the Battle Path remains mostly the same. The Battle Path is currently planned to launch in early April but, as usual, the specific date will be announced a bit later. Additional notes from SS on official Discord server: BP is set for 4 months long Mercenary Loot Crate will only try to drop items that players don't have The devs may publish a full list of possible drops in the future Edited February 19 by Qbicle Additional notes from SS (see edit history)

The first one is a walk in the park with a team, that just let you spot the ENTIRE MISSION, but nigh impossible in solo-que. For the others, like 95% of the missions realistically don't even have that much HP or enemies to shoot at.
Qbicle 109 Posted March 17 Source: https://armoredwarfare.com/en/news/general/shadow-protocol-battle-path-prize-highlights Quote The Shadow Protocol Battle Path is coming in early April and we’d like to take a moment to tell you more about its prizes. The topic of the Shadow Protocol Battle Path is mercenaries – their history, recent and not-so-recent conflicts in which they participated and, of course, the future. But before we take a look at each of these segments, let’s take a look at the main prizes of this Battle Path. The main prizes are, of course, the vehicles. There are three: T-64BV Mod.2022 Tier 8 Premium MBT for reaching Level 20 (representing the “past” aspect) Borsuk Tier 10 Premium AFV for reaching Level 35 (representing the “contemporary” aspect) KNIFV NLOS LPS Tier 10 Premium TD for reaching Level 50 (representing the “future” aspect) You can see them on the images below: This Battle Path is also bringing a new special ability available on the Borsuk called Repair Zone that is slowly healing nearby teammates as well as you. You’ll also have the opportunity to earn other amazing prizes, including exclusive skins that will not be available by any other means: Golden Snake skin for VN20 for completing the first mission chain Snake skin for Cheonma-2 for completing the second mission chain Golden Lion skin for Puma for completing the third mission chain Future Tech skin for EMBT for completing the fourth and final mission chain Three Tank Biathlon skins for Type 96B for reaching Level 36 Take a look: But that’s not all. You can earn more Premium vehicles during the Battle Path: M1A1 AIM Tier 8 Premium MBT for reaching Level 45 (it’ll come in handy, we have a new skin for it) Up to 30 Premium vehicles via the brand-new Mercenary Loot Crates (that also contain Premium commanders, but no trash prizes – just Gold) And that’s STILL not all. There are many other prizes awaiting you as you progress through the Battle Path. Let’s take a look at some of them. Levels 1 to 20 are dedicated to the past. After the Second World War, mercenaries have popped up across the world. Men who grew up during the largest conflict in human history were not ready to put down their arms just yet and sought freedom and adventure. They saw the world change. The colonial wars in Africa gave way to various regional conflicts in the Middle East and the former Soviet Union. We’ll have a number of relevant camouflages, decals and flags for you, each coming with a description tying it to the topic of the Battle Path. We have three new skins for you in this Battle Path and the one representing the past comes from the Libyan Crisis that saw a wide use of mercenaries. In 2014, the movie Fury came out, inspiring the fighters to name their old T-72 Ural that way. The “Fury” skin does represent this vehicle. And since the Ural isn’t performing so well right now, we’ll buff it a bit. Or maybe not just a bit. Levels 21 to 35 are dedicated to the present – or the not so distant past. The Russo-Georgian war involved mercenaries, as did the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which culminated in 2023 by the collapse of Artsakh. We’ll touch upon the Syrian Civil War and, of course, the ongoing mercenary involvement in central Africa. The skin representing the present is called “Winged Hussar” and is loosely based on a KTO Rosomak recently shown in Poland and featuring a painting of the famous winged hussars that saved Vienna from Turkish onslaught. Not to worry, we are aware the Rosomak is underperforming right now and we’ll buff it as well. And, finally, levels 36 to 50 are dedicated to the future. The eyes of the world slowly turn to the east where the dragon is awakening from its centuries-old slumber – and it is hungry. This part of the Battle Path covers the Pacific with its camouflages and decals. The final new skin is the “Australian M1A1 AIM” one, changing your M1A1 AIM’s appearance, as the name suggests, to the one used by the Australian army – specifically to a tank called Azrael. These are just examples and there will be many more prizes in this Battle Path. We hope that you’ll enjoy this event that is coming soon and, as always: See you on the battlefield! Many of the "exclusive" skins seem to be China server content now becoming available to the global server. The three Type 96B Biathlon skins have been around for several years. The Rosomak's Wing Hussar skin is teased on the official Twitter account in January. SS initially claimed that we're not getting that particular skin as it's "definitely copyrighted". The in-game skin still looks somewhat similar, but not quite the same.
Qbicle 109 Posted Thursday at 02:53 AM Source: https://armoredwarfare.com/en/news/general/developer-diary-shadow-protocol-changes Quote It’s been some time since the announcement of the Shadow Protocol Battle Path, currently bound to appear in early April. We also discussed the upcoming vehicles and prizes but the thing is, we made some adjustments since the initial announcement. Let’s take a look at them. First, the KNIFV NLOS LPS. Based on our testing, this vehicle required only minor changes compared to the first version. One thing we did, however, is adjust the missile lock time (reduced for single launches from 3.5s to 3s between missiles) and trajectory to become more practical. The vehicle also had a long spotting range, which we reduced to 390m. Overall, despite its somewhat wacky look, the vehicle is highly viable. Secondly there’s the Borsuk. The biggest question about this vehicle was its ability’s rate of repair. The current setting is 30 hitpoints per second. We have also rebalanced the vehicle’s frontal protection (it’ll be better protected from kinetic rounds and less from HEAT rounds and ATGMs), improved the missile reload time and increased the rate of fire. And, finally, there’s the T-64BV Mod.2022. The big thing here is the frontal armor buff, which the T-64BV Mod.2017 is also getting. The upper frontal plate armor is becoming more durable for both vehicles. Other than that there were minor issues – we buffed the Kombat gun-launched guided missile on the T-64BV and the Oplot (increased penetration by 25mm, higher non-penetration damage) and reduced the hitpoints from 2800 to 2600 (the same amount the T-64BV Mod.2017 has as they are essentially identical vehicles). And one last thing – you were asking about the contents of the Mercenary Loot Crate. They are here: Mercenary Loot Crate (Click to Open) And that’s about it, commanders. We are looking forward to your feedback and, as always: See you on the battlefield!
