As promised, aside from a new Battle Path, we’re working on a major update for the game that will be released this autumn and today we’ll tell you about one of the smaller but vital parts of it, which is the first part of planned sound overhaul.

As the first step in our sound overhaul program, we have decided to change the sound of the T-72 engine series and their Chinese counterparts. But an example is better than a thousand descriptions so check out the sound sample below:

Another part is the overhaul of 125mm gun sounds. Once again, check out the new sound (rate of fire enhanced to skip the reload time):

In the months following the above-mentioned major update, we’ll continue to improve the sounds in the game. Which sounds would you like to see upgraded next? Let us know on Discord and stay tuned for more news regarding the update as this is really just a tiny bit of it.

  • T-72's new sounds were first mentioned in a stream last July.
  • More new sounds will come in the future; July's stream also mentioned autocannons.

The main aspect that should not be missed (over and over again) is to implement different engine sounds where they are different: gasoline / diesel, diesel / gas turbine, so that when the engine is changed back and forth, and the sounds change for this engine.
