The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown.

Samuel Thorpe is woken in the night by the sound of distant gunfire. Something’s happening at a nearby base and nobody’s sure what. The comms are jammed and nobody’s able to raise the local military units. Rousing a few troops from their sleep and taking whatever vehicles are fuelled up and armed, Thorpe and Gail Espinoza set off to investigate.

    Time Frame:

    • Start: March 15, 17:00 CET
    • End: March 21, 21:59 CET

    Objectives:

    • Win 18 matches in any mode (night maps only, any vehicle)

Please note that only the listed night maps count towards this objective (some are intentionally omitted). The list of night maps is as follows:

    Rewards:

    • 2 Platinum Loot Crates
    • David Murdoch player avatar (or 220 Gold)
    • MPF Light Tank for the player who completed the mission with the most battles

    Special Rules

This mission’s community result will have an influence on the story resolution:

    • 5.000 completions or lower, they do not arrive on time to make a difference
    • Above 5.000 completions across the community, they do arrive on time to make a difference
    • The mission’s basic difficulty is reduced by 10% below the usual 3 victories per day due to the fact that Perihelion’s vehicles are painted black, which puts them at an advantage in combat
    • Given the SPAAG category victory in the previous mission, the difficulty and rewards do not change

Additionally, there are Global Goals in place that you can see here.

We’d like to remind you to keep in mind we’ll definitely be checking the winners for their battle activities (entering a battle, doing little damage and leaving will lead to a disqualification).

  2. A continuation of my previous Elysium and Tatra camo mods. The Apate and Triglav camos here are initially my experiments for the Perihelion camouflage contest, dismissed for being a bit too bold and doesn't quite fit the Perihelion theme in my absolutely incorrect opinion. Nevertheless, they still look excellent and were well-received by other users on the ArmoredLabs Discord server.

Both Apate and Triglav use simple geometric grids as base patterns and overlaying fractal elements to disrupt outlines. These are my first attempts at using layered camouflage patterns in the game, I'm personally quite satisfied with their results.

Their namesakes continue the tradition of using Greek mythology for the Hades camo base, and European mountain ranges for the Mount Elbrus camo base. May the spirits of Apate let your deceit spread in the night, and Triglav keep you nimble and quick in daylight.

Installation instructions: this mod will persist across any future game updates and patches, there is no need to modify any other files.

    6hj2I41.png

To uninstall, simply delete the files.

To use the modded camos, you MUST already own the preexisting camos the mod is based on. Hades camo can be obtained rarely from battalion PvP missions (can be traded within battalions); Mount Elbrus is unlocked when you obtain the Black Sea Hero achievement for completing heroics.

For best results, please reduce your dirt levels to minimum in your settings. You can also use the dirt removal mod to remove all dirt completely, bypassing the in-game settings.

The topic is "Name and shame". You kids think that you can dictate to everyone how to play and treat those who don't play the way you want, like crap! That's the way y'all have treated me from the start. Because i snipe with MBT's and don't play the classes the way most of you DEMAND they be played. and when i voice my opinion in Discord, i got banned because the admins didn't like what i said, nevermind if i was correct or not. I have studied armor tactics for many years, and rushing straight into the teeth of enemy fire, and allowing yourself to be shot at, is just plain stupid, and i won't do it, at least not like you kids do. and yes, i say kids, because i'm 60 years old, and i'd say most of you are in your early twenties IF that.........

Listen, Gail, we’ve been through this. You know why I chose you and you know why I must do the same for him. No, don’t mention his name; you never know who is listening. This whole situation, it won’t last and you know what’s at stake. Now, be a good girl and begin the preparations. Do not mention your past, do not mention where you come from. He must not suspect a thing, not until he’s ready – and that is for me to decide.

    • David Murdoch (phone call excerpt, March 2028)

Gail Espinoza and Samuel Thorpe are still wracking their brains about its composition since Murdoch’s connections gave them the access to pretty much all the tech in the world.

    misison5

Now is the time to finally decide the future of the Perihelion outfit before its deployment. Based on your decisions in previous missions, we’ve determined that the interest in both MBTs and scout AFVs is roughly the same. That is why Perihelion’s outfit will definitely include:

    • Reduced MBT company (two platoons of four tanks each)
    • Scout platoon (armed with recon vehicles)

The third unit is yours to decide and will determine not only the story, but also the nature of the outfit, future skins and various bonuses available for using these vehicles. Read the Objectives and Special Rules sections carefully.

    Time Frame:

    • Start: March 7, 12:00 CET
    • End: March 13, 21:59 CET

    Objectives:

    • Win 30 matches in any mode in one of the vehicles defined below. Read the Special Rules section for a full list of vehicles and consequences.

    Rewards:

    • 2 Platinum Loot Crates
    • Perihelion Black base paint (or 440 Gold)

    Special Rules:

    Please note:

    • You must use the vehicles from the lists below. You will receive the mission prize by using any of the listed vehicles but the most played category will determine the category winner along with its drawbacks and bonuses
    • Combining categories for one completion is not possible – winning 10 matches in one category and 20 matches in another category will result in mission failure
    • It is possible to complete the mission twice, each time with a different category (or twice with the same one)
    • This choice will also affect future skins as well as Commander Samuel Thorpe’s skins in the future

    The following categories are available:

Self-Propelled Anti-Aircraft Guns: You are fine with the composition as it is – a reduced tank company and a scout platoon. Some extra anti-air capability would do the outfit good but you believe the firepower is more than sufficient as is.

    • Advantage: None (No change)
    • Disadvantage: None (No change)

Mechanized Infantry: Heavy and fast IFVs that carry Mechanized Infantry. They accompany tanks into battle but carry enough firepower and troops to hold their own.

    • Advantage: Future mission difficulty reduced by 10%
    • Drawback: Future rewards decreased by 20%

This allows them to surprise the enemy and sometimes capture more objectives than other vehicles would. The vehicles are extremely mobile and sometimes carry significant firepower, but are also quite fragile and can’t hold their own against heavy opposition.

Tank Killers: A squad of dedicated Tank Destroyers to deal with any armored opponents. These can typically also be used as infantry fire support in any environment but the lack of IFVs for the infantry will limit the versatility of the formation.

    • Advantage: Future rewards increased by 30%

We’d like to remind you to keep in mind we’ll definitely be checking the winners for their battle activities (entering a battle, doing little damage and leaving will lead to a disqualification).

I'm going to aim for SPAAG and/or infantry, simply because they offer the most return to the campaign with the least effort. Note that the reward modifiers are practically irrelevant given that it only affect scalable rewards, and all we've been getting so far are platinum lootboxes and/or paltry amounts of gold. It makes zero difference whether you get two lootboxes or three, and the difference between 400 gold and 500 isn't significant at all.

    • SPAAG won't affect anything, full of easy to play vehicles
    • Infantry will decrease the campaign difficulty = less playing time required later on
    • Airborne is stupid because increasing the difficulty will just lead to lower participation rate for the campaign.
    • TDs are stupid because PvP focus.
    • Arty may technically be a good choice, but we don't know how much more PvE-focused the campaign can get. I'd rather take the quantifiable difficulty reduction over the unknown.

  7. This has been a difficult few days for everybody, to absorb the news that the largest military conflict in Europe since World War 2 is unfolding in real-time inside the free nation of Ukraine, as the Russian military continues its invasion with no signs of pause.

I would like to remind everyone that political discussions ARE allowed at ArmoredLabs regardless of which side you support. You can support Russia all you want (but I will be sad), provided that the discussions remain civil and don't devolve into insults and misinformation. There will of course be rumors everywhere, but efforts to try and identify correct information should still be exercised.

I do not speak for every user here, but I and the ArmoredLabs staff condemns the Russian government and military for this unprovoked attack on the neighbouring Ukraine. Keep in mind that it is Putin, the Russian government and military that deserve all the hatred right now, NOT the Russian people who may not even support the ongoing events.

If you are wondering what else you can do outside of reading the constant stream of news, you can donate to the Red Cross to support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine right now. https://www.icrc.org/en/donate/ukraine

If you are playing Armored Warfare, you can also fly the flag of Ukraine as your banner or decal to show your support. DO NOT TROLL, GRIEF, OR OTHERWISE ANTAGONIZE OTHER PLAYERS IN THE GAME, it's pointless to argue politics in the game itself.

In the mean time, this thread can be used for discussion.

    Stay safe Ukraine.

Well, it's time to share the promised mod with the "Syrian" appearance for Kornet-EM. This appearance was inspired by real vehicles of the military police of the Russian Ministry of Defense, used in Syria. 3 (three) versions of it were prepared at once, which you can see on the screenshots. Personally, the admin himself set himself a regular version without a flag, if you are interested. When installing the mod, carefully read the instructions! Also keep in mind that the Kornets encountered in the game will become the same, while camouflage can be set (the appearance of the vehicle itself will not change), while receiving a bonus to disguise along the way, and flashing lights will appear on the Titan skin (when the corresponding version is installed) or a flag.

    Global Goals

This event features global community goals – requirements the whole community can meet for additional rewards. Meeting community goals influences the direction of the story, unlocks additional rewards and Shards of the Past.

    glog1

This time, your decisions will influence future vehicle introduction. More mission completions of the MBT mission (Hammer) will mean a high-Tier MBT will be introduced in the future. More global mission completions of the AFV mission will make us switch to a scout AFV.

The training continues for Perihelion with more and more MBTs arriving for the troops to explore. David Murdoch has clearly not been sparing any expense and some of the prototypes delivered to Arizona look very exotic. But cutting edge is not always the best solution – modern tanks are very conspicuous and notoriously expensive to maintain. Perhaps it would be better to stick to the basics... ?

    https://aw.my.games/en/news/general/contest-design-perihelion-camouflage

    Quote

    Commanders!

The Perihelion event is in full swing with the eponymous company training its troops in the Arizona desert under the watchful eye of Samuel Thorpe. While the basic training proceeds without major interruptions, the troops have been constantly complaining about their tanks being painted black and grey under the blistering Arizonian sun.

    scr1

Additionally, the color black and grey, while being an excellent friend-or-foe identifier (at least versus the U.S. Army) don’t exactly blend well in the desert environment (or anywhere, for that matter). The Perihelion troops have been calling for a proper camouflage pattern since day one and today, we’re going to grant their wish.

Your task in this contest will be to design universal Perihelion camouflage by submitting a suitable design to our dedicated form.

The design can be pretty much anything and submitted in any manner, but each submission must contain the following elements:

    • Your player name
    • Description of the camouflage with any additional information (such as color RGB/HEX codes, ratio descriptions and such – anything you deem fit)
    • Link to at least one image of the camouflage

Regarding the final point – the image does not have to be an in-game vehicle render. It can be anything, from a single tile of the camouflage, a pen and pencil drawing of it, a photo of a real-life camouflage, a photoshopped image or even a screenshot of a mod. It’s the idea that counts, not the artistic rendition. The winning submission will become (for the purposes of the game’s story, art and its potential future introduction) the official Perihelion camouflage.

The best submissions from both regions will be put up for a vote after the contest submission period ends. Based on the amount of community votes, the winners will receive the following prizes:

    • First place: Namer Tier 10 Premium AFV (or its equivalent in Gold, winner’s choice)
    • Second place: MPF Tier 10 Premium LT (or its equivalent in Gold if the winner has it already)
    • Third place: BM Oplot Tier 9 Premium MBT (or its equivalent in Gold if the winner has it already)

Additionally, each submission that makes it to the voting phase will be rewarded with 1.500 Gold.

    Please note:

    • The submission phase ends on March 6, 2022 at 21:59 CET
    • Each player may only submit one submissions, edits are not allowed (in case of more submissions from the same player, only the first one will count)
    • The entries must not contain any elements that are third party intellectual property (typical example here would be popular commercial camouflage patterns such as Cryptek Typhon)
    • The entries must not contain any elements that are against our Terms of Service (containing forbidden symbols or imagery)
    • The Armored Warfare members of staff reserve the right to disqualify any entry at their discretion
    • By submitting his or her work in this contest, each player agrees with the use of the submission in Armored Warfare promotion and/or the game itself
    • Armored Warfare reserves the right to decide whether to introduce any entry to the game or not. If the entry is ever introduced, its author will receive the camouflage for free without any further conditions

We hope that you will enjoy this event and, as always:

I'm partial towards squishies, so squishies all the way. Also means I won't have to suffer through PvP.

    Commanders!

Today, we’re embarking upon a new journey that will take Armored Warfare on a new path – a story-driven path where everything, from PvP battles to the PvE experience will be a part of a single unified world with an evolving story that you, the players, will participate in and influence.

But even a journey of a thousand miles must begin with the first step. During the following weeks, we’ll be introducing the world of Armored Warfare to you in a series of events, tasks and missions that we hope you’ll participate in it because every decision taken will count. We’ll start slow but the event will grow based on your activity – the more you play, the bigger the event becomes.

The basics of the event are simple. Complete missions within their allotted time and receive rewards. And with that in mind, let’s get right to it.

    List of Contents

    Spoiler

    Story

Now, we can’t begin our story without an overview of what’s happening. The year is 2028 and the world order is slowly unraveling. The United States of America, once an undisputed leader of the free world, is wracked by internal strife after more than a century of prosperity. The Russian Federation, having fully recovered from the Soviet Union era that ended in 1997, is a rising power once again. Further to the east, the mysterious land of China is closed to all but selected few, its ambitions as strong as Russia’s. Europe’s fortune is closely tied to that of America with their issues similar – the influence of nation states clashing with that of power-hungry corporations.

It is an age of upheaval and you are smack in the middle of it – a young mercenary down on his luck, presented with an offer he can’t possibly refuse, to train a security branch of a Chicago-based company by the name of Perihelion, its purpose as enigmatic as its founder, an investor by the name of David Murdoch.

You are Samuel Thorpe and your choices will shape the future. In June 2028, you have joined Perihelion’s forces in their Arizona camp and were greeted by the de-facto leader until this point, Gail Espinoza. The meeting did not go without an incident but the two of you are now ready to begin your training.

    State of the Perihelion Forces

The forces of Perihelion consist of light infantry, a number of older Russian IFVs and a company of relatively modern Russian tanks, mostly T-72B3s. Samuel Thorpe’s personal vehicle is a Russian service pattern Terminator “Black Mamba”.

The official paint of Perihelion forces is dark gray combined with a white rendition of the Perihelion crest.

The unit is currently located in Arizona and is ready to begin the training.

    Available Missions

The conditions, deadlines and consequences are listed under each mission separately. The following mission is now available:

    to be filled

Each mission can be completed as many times as you want (will count towards available Global Goals) but you can receive each mission’s reward only twice.

The first time, you will receive the prize itself. The second time, you will receive a compensation (if indicated so in the mission’s description). In other words, a prize marked “Perihelion Decal (or 250 Gold)” will award you a decal the first time you complete it and 250 Gold the second time you complete it.

    Global Goals

This event features global community goals – requirements the whole community can meet for additional rewards. Meeting community goals influences the direction of the story, unlocks additional rewards and Shards of the Past.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to register for the event anywhere?

No, you can simply complete the objective of each mission.

How can I track my progress?

For now, you can’t. We are working on a proper tracking mechanism for the event. At the end of each mission, a list of players who completed it will be published in a portal update as well as on the page for each mission.

    What prizes do I win?

The prize for each mission can be seen on each mission’s page.

I have completed a mission. When will I receive my reward?

We are sending rewards after each mission’s end, typically within 1 or 2 days. A list of winners is also available on each mission’s page. Please check if you are on it.

I am sure I have completed a mission but I am not on the list of winners. What can I do?

Do not contact support. Instead, please contact your region’s Armored Warfare representative (SilentstalkerFTR) via the official Discord channel.

What kind of goals and reward opportunities are there in Perihelion?

There are four types of activities in the Perihelion event.

    • Missions are the basic goals anyone can complete. Please check the Missions section for the list of available missions
    • Global Goals depend on the performance of the entire Armored Warfare community. Please check the Global Goals for the list of available objectives
    • Secret Objectives depend on you finding secrets within the event itself. Secrets can be anywhere. Extremely high rewards await those who uncover them. Secret Objectives may or may not be active at any given time – you never know
    • Contests are separate events attached to Perihelion, which typically require other type of participation than basic gameplay (such as various pieces of art) and have their own rewards. A typical example would be designing the Perihelion camouflage

How is this event connected to the Storyline Campaign?

This event replaces the Storyline Campaign and will use some of the same prizes. Players who already have those from the Storyline Campaign will receive Gold compensation as per mission’s description.

Most current info will be listed in posts, just go through them in the thread.

Those are just the Battle Path reward vehicles.  You can get just about any Premium vehicle through the Battle Path Store for BC, though off the top of my head I can't remember ever seeing Dealer Premiums (the ones purchasable in-game for Gold) in the Store, so maybe that's the cutoff.

I've already seen something like 5 vehicles available in the Store during this BP that I don't already have, including the T-72B3, Vickers, and Oplot.  I think 1-2 more... I just can't remember them off the top of my head right now.  I have all of the BP reward vehicles listed above.

There are a few vehicles that are supposedly omitted from the coin shop, but nobody knows for sure given the randomness involved.

On the 20th of January 2022, starting from 8:00 CET (19th of January, 11 PM PST), the server will not be available for 5 hours due to the application of Update 0.38.8675

    List of Update 0.38.8675 Changes

Type 62 to Type 59 Switch

As announced earlier, we are switching the Tier 1 Type 62 Light Tank for the Type 59 Main Battle Tank as well as changing Type 59’s performance compared to the Type 62. For more information, please visit our dedicated article.

    General Changes

    • Fixed an issue where some players received incorrect Loot Crates and Battle Coin tokens from weekend Special Operations by exchanging the incorrect crates and tokens for the correct ones
    • Fixed the way the Damage per Minute value in your Garage is calculated for autocannons to properly take the new overheat mechanic into account (the values themselves did not change, only the way they are displayed in the UI)
    • Bradley FV: Fixed the collision model of this vehicle
    • Griffin 50mm: Fixed an issue where its commander was incorrectly placed in its (unmanned) turret
    • KTO Rosomak: Fixed an issue where it was impossible to have the Improved Weapon Cooling System installed together with other modules
    • Leopard 2 Revolution: Fixed the Wallbreaker skin appearance (returned the barbed wire to the gun)
    • M48 GAU-8: Fixed the Warmaster skin appearance (the flying optics issue)
    • Marder 2: Added the Troop Compartment module to the vehicle
    • T-72B3: Improved this vehicle’s visual model quality
    • T-72B3: Slightly adjusted this vehicle’s armor layout
    • T-72B3: Fixed this vehicle’s turret frontal hull ERA to corresponds to the T-90 layout (yes, this is a buff)
    • VBR: Fixed the PELE shell penetration so that its penetration drop starts at 150m instead of 140m
    • ZBD-86: Fixed the appearance of decals
    • Carson City: Fixed the car model in sector J6 (the car wouldn’t get destroyed when driving over it, making tanks stuck)
    • Carson City: Fixed an issue where it was exceedingly difficult and slow to drive up some slopes
    • Carson City: Fixed several rocks and stones in order for player vehicles not to clip into them
    • Carson City: Fixed a number of small visual issues
    • Burning Grounds Special Operation: Fixed an issue where it was possible to trigger some dialogues and objectives prematurely and thus skipping parts of the mission
    • Fixed a number of small visual model issues
    • Added a number of assets for future events

    Meh.

Again, the secret admin, who got out of his secret laboratory, is in touch. This time, he decided to upset (or please) the sophists not with another paint job, but with a tiny refinement of the vanilla tank, namely the Type 10. Something about the appearance of this basically well-made model did not suit him, and finally, after viewing a bunch of photos, it dawned on him that missing anti-slip strips. These are such specially made rough areas on the hull and turret of the tank - on the Merkava they immediately catch your eye - many military men use this everywhere. This is done so that one of the service personnel or tankers does not accidentally slip and turn his neck. The Japanese do not disdain similar things, which can be seen on the Type 16 model, but for some reason the Type 90 and Type 10 are deprived of this visual feature, although there is an anti-skid in almost all photos. Therefore, it was decided to quickly correct this omission and file a small visual mod Type 10 Antiskid that does not affect the gameplay in any way.

The anti-skid relief itself was stolen from the Type 16, so it is quite native. In the course of testing these textures among the sophists who volunteered to help, we had to slightly edit the shading textures (ambient occlusion) to make the new sections with anti-skid more convincing. The textures were tested on different graphics settings, with and without camouflage, but the players did not cause any problems or rejection. The appearance of Enigma was not affected and did not suffer, if anything.

The installation is very simple, the mod will not affect the FPS at all, as well as the integrity of the game files, and the changes themselves will be visible only to you. When the game is updated, this mod will not crash (unless the developers suddenly cut the materials of the tank). In general, we are waiting for feedback from the sophists, and carefully read the instructions inside the installer!

  14. I wanted to start working on camo replacements specifically for free and easily obtained camos, so that more players can enjoy using camo mods (and learn how to mod themselves).

The choice of replacing the Drought and Shuttle camos is because they are ass ugly and new players don't really have any other choices when it comes to free camos. If nothing else, this gives some new life to two sets of otherwise old and outdated camo patterns.

One "new" feature of modding camos with different color patterns for the three terrains, is that you can use one texture pattern and apply them to all three terrain colors. Unfortunately this is also a limitation, in that you cannot individually adjust the colors for each terrain without affecting the others. Fortunately these two camo sets can accept base paints, so there are some extra customization options in-game up to the player's discretion.

Installation instructions: this mod will persist across any future game updates and patches, there is no need to modify any other files.

    6hj2I41.png

To uninstall, simply delete the mod files.

To use the modded camos, you MUST already own the preexisting camos the mod is based on. The Drought camos are unlocked through the Magach 5, 6B, 7C; the Shuttle camos are unlocked through the Merkava 3, 4, 4M.

For best results, please reduce your dirt levels to minimum in your settings. You can also use the dirt removal mod to remove all dirt completely, bypassing the in-game settings.

  15. Welcome to the forum!

I sometimes get this issue as well, it is apparently related to packet loss that specifically occur during the loading. Not a lot you can do except to try and stabilize your connection, reduce your ping, etc.

If you are curious, you can try doing an active ping plot to the server while playing the game, and check what happens when you get booted back to garage. http://www.pingplotter.com/download/windows/

  16. https://aw.my.games/en/news/general/development-namer

    Quote

In Armored Warfare, the Namer will be a Tier 10 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle.

But before we tell you more about it, here’s the usual disclaimer:

The numbers below are very preliminary as the vehicle has not been properly tested. They are sure to change and should only be discussed as an indicator of how we’d like to set the vehicle up.

    With that being said:

We’re going to set the Namer up as a Main Battle Tank and Armored Fighting Vehicle hybrid. What this means is that this vehicle will have Merkava-levels of protection. The hull will in fact have roughly the same armor as Merkava Mk.4 while the turret will take reduced damage. The Namer will also come fitted with the Trophy hard-kill APS (without the Supercharged mode).

But the firepower is where things get interesting. As you already know from the historical part, the Namer is armed with two primary weapon systems – 30mm Mk.44 Bushmaster autocannon and Spike ATGMs. Both of these weapons are already in the game so you are likely already familiar with them, although their overall values will be configured with the abovementioned protection levels in mind (that is, reduced compared to less-protected vehicles). What’s new, however, is the way you’ll be able to configure your Namer.

First, there’s the basic configuration with both weapon systems equally balanced:

    • 30mm APFSDS (320mm of penetration, 40 damage per shot, 100 rounds can be fired before the gun overheats, 2.5s cooldown and 13833 damage per minute value)
    • 30mm PELE (120mm of penetration, 45 damage per shot, 100 rounds can be fired before the gun overheats, 2.5s cooldown and 15562 damage per minute value)
    • Spike ATGM twin launcher (Tandem HEAT warhead, 1300mm of penetration, 900 damage per shot, 3 seconds between launches and 13s launcher reload time)

Aside from the abovementioned configuration, you’ll also have two more setups to choose from – one favoring the autocannon and one favoring the missiles.

    scr6

Click the image to open a larger version

The autocannon configuration replaces both 30mm autocannon rounds with 40mm SuperShot APFSDS (the autocannon can be configured to fire 40mm ammunition).

This ammo has the following properties: 390mm of penetration, 52 damage per shot, 40 rounds can be fired before the gun overheats, 2s cooldown and 15898 damage per minute value. On the downside, the ATGM reload time increases from 13 seconds to 20 seconds.

The ATGM configuration reduces the amount of autocannon shells you can fire before overheating the gun from 100 to 50. However, the ATGM time between launches is reduced from 3s to 1.62s and the magazine reload time is reduced from 13s to 10.8s, which translates into ATGM damage per minute value increase of roughly 31 percent.

In all three configurations, the gun will elevate to +70 degrees and depress to -12 degrees. At the same time, the Namer will carry infantry, so it’ll play like a very heavy AFV, but you can replace this Active Ability with a Designate Target one.

This vehicle’s downsides will be its camouflage and viewrange values, both of which will be poor for its class – 10 percent camouflage rating and 430 meters viewrange (460 when stationary). Its mobility will also resemble an MBT rather than AFV. With its 1200hp diesel engine, the Namer will have the maximum speed of 65 km/h and Merkava-like agility.

    scr7

Click the image to open a larger version

In summation, the Namer will be a well-protected lumbering behemoth, at least compared to other vehicles of its class. Its MBT-like characteristics will make this vehicle quite forgiving for new players, but, as they say, a jack-of-all-trades is a master of none. In our case, this principle will reflect in the reduced damage output compared to other, more specialized AFVs. Despite its class, it’ll never be really stealthy or a true long-range vehicle and its MBT-like mobility will prevent it from acting as an effective scout. It will, on the other hand, offer reliable fire support in all situations as well as the ability to spearhead an attack along with MBTs.

Within its constraints, you’ll be able to tweak its performance to match the style you prefer the most. Generally speaking, the autocannon configuration will come in handy in PvE where maximizing your damage per minute output matters, while the basic or ATGM configurations are intended for PvP where more tactical gameplay is required.

T-15 finally gets threatened by powercreep.

    List of Update 0.38.8646 Changes

    • All autocannons with overheat mechanics now fire short bursts equal to 0.7 second of standard weapon fire upon pressing the firing button once (this is to address an exploit where it was possible under certain circumstances to fire the autocannon without overheating it)
    • Carson City: Fixed the collision model of the building that players could fire through
    • Carson City: Fixed an issue where the collision models didn’t change upon environmental object destruction
    • Carson City: Fixed several rock collision models
    • Carson City: Fixed a number of small visual issues

Bandaid fix for dakka. Instead of tying overheating to number of shots fired, they are just going to make you hold the trigger down longer. Lazy coding.
