Qbicle 108 Posted October 16 Source: https://armoredwarfare.com/en/news/general/development-dynamic-decals Quote This autumn’s update is bringing a lot of features. There are the drones, a new game mode, overhauled Pipelines, engine sounds for the T-72 series... and that’s still not all. Today we’d like to tell you about yet another feature that’s making its way to Armored Warfare, the Dynamic Decals. Now, the entire idea is really simple. The in-game decals can now be moved, rotated (by holding Alt and scrolling your mouse wheel) and their size can be changed (by holding Shift and scrolling your mouse wheel). Here’s a demonstration of the system: Please note that the system still has some limitations: This system only applies to decals, not to battalion emblems There still are just two decals per vehicle Decals cannot be placed on ERA or other additional armor plates, they will always appear on the base hull of the vehicle As you can see, this is only the first iteration of the system. We will continue to develop it so it is more practical in the future. More comments from SS on official Discord server: Decals can work on vehicles with skins (e.g. Leclerc T4's Rhône-Alpes skin), as long as it's applied on base surfaces. As for skins with one disabled decal slot, SS may re-enable due to free placement outside of additional props / geometries on skins. However, skins that are fully covered like T-14 152's Koschei will not support decals as before. If a vehicle or skin can support two decals in the first place, the said decals can be placed on either turret or hull as long as they are on base surfaces. The largest size for a decal is roughly the size of Leclerc T4 turret roof (the flat part behind the hatches). First decal slot supports symmetry settings (e.g. like that on XM1A3's turret face).
