  1. Arto unfortunately doesn't have lots of his mods anymore after the “great purge” happened.
In an effort to source anything that Arto had created, that was still available somewhere, I found an older version with RCWS but without the Tank carousel icon change.
(hopefully all will be restored at some point *fingers crossed*)

If he agrees, I would send it to him for release or upload it to the forum here.

Is it possible to add more geometry to the skin such as more storage boxes and other greebles?

Ofc its possible ) but not this version.

Any chance of a guide on how to? I really miss all the stuff Arto released, that added camo nets/fuel barrels, armored MG positions and what not, which could get custom camos and colors applied to. :cryingseal:

I haven't seen one myself, but there were reports of their appearance in the shop for 1200 coins per piece. AbramsX parts can also appear in the shop as well for the same price.

Ok, haven't seen that one either. In the German Discord, there was also the rumor of Stridsvagn 2000 finally joining the BP shop.
But honestly, without an official announcement and/or screenshots, I believe it when I actually see it. :classic_mellow:

Has anyone seen them pop up? Have not done any rerolls and I did not come across a single one. If I remember correctly, wasn't it supposed to be a gamble box tank anyway?

  5. Nerf coming.

    Commanders!

In today’s Developer Diary, we’ll be discussing a topic that’s popular with you all these days – the airburst ammunition used by Puma and Boxer CRV.

First things first. Yes, we know it’s performing a little too well and the Puma now arguably is the best vehicle in the game because of it. We have also noticed the ammunition is causing lags, so that’s another fun issue to address. Both issues need to be solved. But hey, this time we haven’t released an overpowered top Battle Path prize – so that’s a progress!

Anyway, let’s talk about this type of ammunition. The way it came to be was by adapting the mechanics of overhead HE from the Leclerc. After a few adjustments it worked like a charm. There’s a problem though. The way the HE blast wave in this particular ammunition type works is a bit different compared to the standard mechanic. In short, it’s looking for weakspots within its blast radius.

We’ll be removing that feature, which will significantly affect the behavior of this shell type. It’ll still be able to damage an MBT when firing at the right spots (above engine deck, above vulnerable roof, under it) but it’ll no longer frontally wreck MBTs when firing at their upper frontal plate.

Additionally, the explosive fuse will also be triggered by the presence of ERA/NERA/cage armor. In the game, it means that firing at such elements will produce no damage whatsoever as the blast wave will be stopped by them instead of going “around” them and damaging the soft side armor.

The module damage will also be toned down so that the targets don’t instantly end with wrecked guns. However, please note that destroying enemy guns with this ammo type still is a viable tactic.

In summation, the HE shells will become a far more strategic tool instead of a universal weapon. The adjustments should also reduce the lags.

These changes will be done to the Puma and the Boxer CRV but you’ll have the opportunity to “test” them on the KF41 Lynx Prototype IFV that’s coming in the future (and is not relying on them – it has other advantages such as its powerful 35mm PELE or its new infantry).

We are sure you can see the necessity of this change and, as always:

    See you on the battlefield!

Hot damn! An AC, doing damage on anything at any angle in moderate to insane proportions on a very mobile platform with decent armor, ending up being blatantly OP? Who could have known?
But it is ok, this time it was only the second to last price, we are making progress. :facepalmk:

    Spoiler

Guess, BP/BC sales are falling off already. So, time to hammer those air burst rounds into uselessness!
But fear not, now you can spend more money on gambling your way to the new hot toy since they broke your old one.

Man, I wish there would be any decent alternative on the market. :classic_sad:

requires playing 100 matches using the T-80U Tier 7 MBT in order to make sure you are accustomed to the tank’s playstyle.

Hot damn! Especially since one could not get accustomed to it with the distinct absence of many T-series tanks and their numerous branches and sub-variants in this game!
Also, MBT's between nation play so radically different, that nothing but a minimum of a 100 games will suffice.

Although, come to think of it, some people just following the “more and more DPM”-meta might need a 100 reminder, that it is sooo much fun to play a vehicle which can not dish out nonstop. :classic_tongue:

  7. No, they always had planned end dates. But usually got extended due to various f-up's. This one was initially to be 160 days long by design, got cut down last minute before release (gotta push that FOMO!) and then got extended multiple times due to (who would have guessed?) ...f-up's.

    27. When will the enemy plane be fixed on the Desert Strike mission so that it can be shot down, as required by the mission?
This is one of the hardest bugs we've ever encountered. Her research has been going on for several years. The problem is that we can't reproduce it in a controlled environment, which makes it much more difficult. Such bugs are usually related to the game's netcode, which is notoriously difficult to investigate.

Sooo, they can't fix a hit box/ net code desync or even implement a workaround (e.g., cap here makes plane go boom).

BUT the want to replace a working game mode with a brand new one?

The devs are exploring multiple directions for the game right now:

    1. A MOBA style game mode that will gradually replace GLOPS

While basically setting fixing long term issues (stuff that existed more or less since beta) to the low priority back burner or not touching it at all.

    4. When will the team consider a deep modernization of the existing one or a transition to a new game engine?
Partial improvements - yes. Complete modernization? No. The transition to a new engine (including a more modern CryEngine) is a matter of several years of work and rather large sums.

Combined with not upgrading the engine as well, will just suffocate the game to death in “tech dept”.

    Man, this just sucks. =(

And it may be hot, but it is also (again for those premiums) very costly. :classic_dry:

That was the point, it is a bait and switch in the making. Currently, it is a plainly better version compared to the T10 Abrams. I would not be surprised if the “fix” might take a while, it'll certainly help to get more sales.

Just give them the "ad hoc" refit in the upgrades screen , call it direct fire upgrade or something so you can get your choice of running then either way .

Apparently, the issue is not a majority of artillery players missing a direct fire mode, but a “majority” of the other classes not being able to deal with indirect fire. :classic_rolleyes:

Hence, all the other heavy-handed nerfs and redesigns to make it a “utility support class” in a game that rewards damage done / kills above all else.
