Prometheus         - 4+1=5 I'll give a vote of support for Prometheus, seeing how it's fairly friendly towards both squishies and non-squish. Respawns all the way at the beginning of the map and absolutely garbage secondary placements aside, the double caps is a fairly unique mechanic that forces you into either clearing the bots fast enough to autocomplete or deal with the far cap for some extra time. It's a fairly good design that I don't find on any other map so far.

Spearhead           - 10-3=7 There's nothing terribly bad about the layout of the map, but the flood of bots that sit inside the cap makes it boring and annoying to slug it out. Killing all the bots on the map also isn't a winning condition for some reason, so you are forced sit inside the cap yourself and do nothing for a good minute on what is inherently a fast map to clear out.

So now we know all about the vehicles in the BP. Literally none of the rank rewards are worth getting, which means only the 2S38 and the coin shop remain as the biggest appeal. Even "appeal" is putting it lightly.

Skipping this entire BP would be my recommendation if you have zero interest in the 2S38, and absolutely do ignore everything about the ranks. Do not spend any money on this BP.

Don't even bother buying access if you can't afford it with gold, and even then think about whether your gold is worth spending on this pile of shit.

In Armored Warfare, the TR-85M1 Bizonul will be a Tier 5 Premium Main Battle Tank as well as a prize of the Wars of the Past Battle Path campaign, obtainable for reaching Level 20.

But before we tell you more about it, here’s the usual disclaimer:

The numbers below are very preliminary as the vehicle has not been properly tested. They are sure to change and should only be discussed as an indicator of how we’d like to set the vehicle up.

    With that being said:

The TR-85M1 will resemble other Soviet Tier 5 vehicles of the same Tier but the lack of protection will be compensated by increased mobility and firepower, giving it a slight slant towards the Light Tank class. Overall, the best tank to compare it to would be the T-55M1.

    scr5

Click the image to open a larger version

It’ll feature mediocre composite armor without any active or passive measures, but the mobility will be ensured by its 900hp engine, which is quite a lot for its 50 tons. The maximum speed will reach 60 km/h, but this will be possible to improve via additional progression. This upgrade will:

    • Increase the maximum speed to 75 km/h
    • Improve the hull traverse by 10 percent

    scr6

Click the image to open a larger version

Firepower-wise, at first glance, the 100mm gun sounds somewhat underpowered for its Tier, but aside from average penetration and damage values, it’ll also feature some interesting elements such as:

    • Improved propellant module, reducing the penetration over distance penalty
    • Two-round clip, which will be possible to upgrade via additional progression to a three-round one

    scr7

Click the image to open a larger version

And last but not least there are the stealth and spotting values, which will start, once again, on average values, but you’ll be able to upgrade them as such:

    • Thermal Imager module providing improved spotting range and the ability to spot through bushes
    • Special Tracks module providing reduced camouflage penalty for moving

In summation, the TR-85M1 Bizonul will be a mid-to-long range fire support vehicle with excellent mobility and utility values, almost like a Light Tank. It’ll come in handy in PvP, but in PvE, it’ll have to stay in the rear in order for it to remain effective.

We hope that you’ll enjoy this MBT as well as the entire Battle Path and, as always:

    Skip.

Perihelion is a brainchild of David Murdoch, a legendary investor and philanthropist, who made his fortune in the 1980s and 1990s thanks to his almost preternatural ability to recognize trends and invest in tech companies that would later come up with future-shaping technologies.

On the outside, Perihelion exists to manage Murdoch’s vast portfolio of diverse businesses, from an industrial data analysis center to his small private airlines. While many of his businesses use their own separate brands, the Perihelion logo has been prominent enough for it to become the primary brand associated with Murdoch’s enterprises.

A separate Perihelion branch also manages Murdoch’s stock exchange transactions and acquisitions, which seems to be the primary source of the holding’s income. Some have compared Perihelion to a predatory hedge fund – in Chicago, or anywhere else in the world for that matter, you don’t make it without making at least some enemies.

While he remains one of America’s richest people, his days of acquiring wealth seem to be behind him as he focuses on philanthropy and public appearances including lectures and TED talks, leaving his fortune in the care of Perihelion staff.

David Murdoch does not generally participate in politics, but his deeply traditionalist views have earned him more than a few enemies amongst the U.S. elite. Otherwise, little is known about his life, including his marital status, parental status or place of residence. By his own account, he was married at one point in his life since he sometimes references a wife in his speeches, although always in past tense only. What transpired exactly is unknown.

Samuel Thorpe was born during the first years of the Collapse, although it wasn’t known as such back then. His parents perished during a violent civil revolt, murdered by a vicious mob. In an out of foster homes for most of his youth, life offered Samuel few options but to join the U.S. Army, where he learned the basic infantryman skills.

Later, he became a small-time mercenary as many opportunities arose for the men of his profession. After a botched job in Dubai, he found himself stranded in Chicago, low on money and without a prospect of getting another mercenary work anytime soon. He was saved by a lucrative job offer from Perihelion and joined its forces training in Arizona soon afterwards.

Samuel is relatively inexperienced and eager to claw his way up the food chain to reach the top.

Little is known of Gail Espinoza’s past and she certainly likes to keep it that way. Diminutive in stature, she more than makes up for her size handicap with her choleric personality. She’s brave to the point of being foolhardy but at the same time strangely indecisive when it comes to everything Perihelion-related.

Slow to trust and keeping everyone at arm’s length, Gail Espinoza is one giant mystery wrapped in an enigma even to her peers as she never talks about her past save for a few shreds of information. Her and David Murdoch clearly have some sort of past as he tends to trust her the most and did put her in charge of his armed forces until the arrival of Samuel Thorpe. This change in leadership made her somewhat bitter as she feels she once again has to prove herself to someone new. Despite this setback, she's fiercely protective of Murdoch and for reasons unknown, she seemingly harbors ill feelings to Norah Ferguson.

    • Explosive Reactive Armor
    • 125mm smoothbore cannon with Tier-appropriate shells (including APFSDS, HEAT and HE)
    • Low profile with sloped armor and a “pan-shaped” turret
    • Powerful diesel engine with solid maximum speed and acceleration

On the other hand, there will be some significant upgrades in the form of additional progression modules that will be possible to unlock using the Battle Path workshop mechanism.

When it comes to protection, you’ll have the chance to unlock a module providing you with extra module protection and repair speed. The mobility section will offer two additional upgrade modules:

    • Module doubling the track hitpoints
    • Module providing you with a bonus to acceleration as well as hull and turret traverse rates

And, finally, there will be the main ability of the tank, which belongs to the firepower section. The Battlefield Management System (BVIS) module will provide you with 2 percent rate of fire bonus for each teammate near your position.

  8. Part 2: https://aw.my.games/en/news/general/development-autocannon-penetration-changes

    Quote

In our previous article, we discussed how we would update the autocannons in Update 0.38 by giving them an updated version of the Gatling overheat mechanics and we were pleased to find out that, for the most part, this change was accepted fairly well – with some caveats, of course. Mainly, you expressed a lot of concern about the rest of the autocannon parameters.

    scr1u

In today’s article, we’d like to address some of those. If you aren’t sure what we are talking about, please visit the earlier article first.

With that in mind, let’s get right to the core of the matter. One of the big problems plaguing autocannons is the fact that they tend to be ineffective against MBTs in general. The MBTs simply have too thick armor (including side plates) and too many hitpoints for the autocannons to even make a dent. This is why we’ll be changing their overall performance. Much like the overheat mechanism, these changes will affect all Tiers.

Our goal is to make autocannons a close range tool. At longer distances, autocannons will stay relatively ineffective, but the closer you get, the more punch will they pack – especially the ones with 40mm guns or bigger. As such, the best defense against autocannon vehicles will be to keep them as far away from your vehicle as possible. You let them get close and you’re in a world of hurt.

This is why we’ll be changing the armor-piercing ammo penetration values of most autocannons. The rules are simple and obvious – the higher the caliber and Tier, the higher the penetration. A few examples:

    • Marder 2 AP ammo penetration increased from 240mm to 440mm
    • Begleitpanzer 57 basic AP ammo penetration increased from 350mm to 460mm
    • Sphinx basic AP ammo penetration increased from 230mm to 400mm
    • T-15 AP ammo penetration increased from 205mm to 320mm

On the downside, we’ve increased the penetration drop for all autocannon AP shells. At 500 meters, they will lose not 25 percent of their penetration value, but 50 percent.

    As a result:

    • At 100m to 200m distances, autocannons will become more effective
    • At 300m distances, they will behave roughly the way it is now
    • At longer distances, they will lose their effectiveness

Please note that these changes affect AP (APDS/APFSDS) shell types only. Various other types (HE) or more exotic sub-types (PELE) will not be affected and will stay as they are now.

In Armored Warfare, the T-15 Kinzhal will be a Tier 10 Premium Tank Destroyer as well as the top prize of the Wars of the Past Battle Path campaign.

But before we tell you more about it, here’s the usual disclaimer:

The numbers below are very preliminary as the vehicle has not been properly tested. They are sure to change and should only be discussed as an indicator of how we’d like to set the vehicle up.

    With that being said:

For the most part, the T-15 Kinzhal will resemble the standard T-15. The protection systems, the camouflage and the mobility will be roughly the same, although the Kinzhal will feature an additional module improving acceleration by 15 percent.

    scr5

Click the image to open a larger version

The main difference will, of course, be the different turret featuring a 57mm gun similar to the one of the Derivatsiya. However, this gun will use a different mechanic – a rapid three round burst with increasing penetration for each shell within the burst (this mechanism is similar to the Griffin 50mm one). The gun will use an AP shell only (520mm of penetration, 92 points damage per shot) with the final shell of the burst being capable of penetrating even an MBT frontally.

On the downside, there will only be a single ATGM launcher with two Kornet missiles (tandem HEAT warhead, 1300mm of penetration and 1100 points damage per shot).

    scr6

Click the image to open a larger version

The gun will also have only mediocre gun depression (-6 degrees). In other words, this T-15 will shift its firepower focus from ATGMs to its gun. With these three round bursts, we’re looking at roughly 24.000 points of damage per minute. For the ATGMs, you’ll be able to choose between two modes (mutually exclusive additional progression modules):

    • Improved launcher (2.7s between launches, 17 second magazine reload time)
    • Double launch (two missiles launch at once, 22 second magazine reload time)

And that’s pretty much it. The other features that you know and love on the T-15 are there as well – Mechanized Infantry deployment or the Supercharged Hard-Kill APS ability.

    scr7

Click the image to open a larger version

I'm... not too excited about this one. The burst mechanic is nice on paper, but my experiences with the Griffin shows that even with high DPM on paper, the time to kill (TTK) becomes rather long due to the pauses.

    Time for some math:

Assuming an average of 276 damage per burst (92*3), it will take 6-7 bursts to kill a superior Sphinx bot. Assuming 0.5s for the whole burst + reload cycle, that's roughly 3-3.5s to kill the bot. This is comparable to the normal T-15.

I'm not sure the 57mm burst is worth giving up two missiles. Never mind the fact that the Strv2k can pretty much do the same thing with its coax 40mm, and it carries a more useful gun to boot.

In Armored Warfare, the 2S38 Derivatsiya will be a Tier 8 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle.

But before we tell you more about it, here’s the usual disclaimer:

The numbers below are very preliminary as the vehicle has not been properly tested. They are sure to change and should only be discussed as an indicator of how we’d like to set the vehicle up.

    With that being said:

We want to set up the Derivatsiya as an AFV and TD hybrid with the potential to hunt down and destroy enemy Light Tanks. Starting with protection, there isn’t really much to look at. A poorly armored chassis (frontal protection versus 30mm autocannons) with some additional armor on the sides (we’re currently discussing how we are going to tackle that part), an unmanned turret and a rather standard soft-kill APS.

Mobility-wise, it’ll be, well, okay. We’re looking at the maximum speed of 70 km/h and the 0 to 32 km/h acceleration of 4 seconds (which will be possible to upgrade to 3.4 seconds using Battle Path’s Workshop), average agility... definitely not the highlight of this vehicle.

Where things start to get fun is the firepower. We have a very powerful 57mm 2A90 autocannon that will have two shell types (well, three, but we’ll get to that):

    • AP (500mm penetration, 88 damage)
    • HE (44mm penetration, 130 damage)

With the rate of fire being 225 rounds per minute, we’re looking at some 15700 points of damage per minute. If this doesn’t compute, it’s because the vehicle will be using the new Autocannon Overheat mechanism. You’ll be able to fire 40 rounds before the gun overheats, followed by 3 seconds of cooling.

But that’s not all. You’ll be able to use the Workshop mechanic to unlock several additional progression modules. First, you’ll be able to choose between:

    • Improved rate of fire to 350 rounds per minute at the expense of longer 5 second cooling (if you prefer burst damage playstyle)
    • Improved cooling so that you can fire 80 rounds without overheating instead of 40 and the cooling time gets shorter as well (2.4 seconds), but the rate of fire stays the same (if you prefer sustained damage playstyle)

Both these upgrades bump your damage output to roughly 18000, so it really is a matter of preference.

Additionally, there will be a very special round unlocked the same way – the UAS. This round will have the following characteristics:

    • PELE shell type (with all its corresponding mechanics)
    • 375mm of penetration, 80 damage per shot

Additionally, this shell will have limited guidance (the way the kinetic shells of Griffin 120mm do). It will be possible to use it together with the abovementioned upgrades, so you’ll effectively be trading some penetration and a bit of damage for the limited guidance ability and PELE characteristics.

There are two more things that need to be said about this vehicle’s firepower:

    • The gun will also have a rather uncomfortable maximum depression of -5 degrees. You’ll have to position yourself carefully
    • The vehicle will feature the Improved Propellant module, reducing penetration loss over distance (and thus increasing its mid-range effectiveness)

And last but not least, there’s the utility factor. The vehicle will start with 30% camouflage and 430m of viewrange. There will be two additional modules affecting this aspect. You will be able to choose between the two following upgrades:

    • Improved Thermal Optics (better spotting through foliage)
    • Improved Camouflage (lower camouflage penalty when firing the gun)

In summation, as you can see, you’ll be able to configure this vehicle in several different ways. There will be the burst damage and active “hunter” option highly suitable for PvP, or there will be the sustained fire while staying hidden option that will fit the PvE needs nicely.

In its core, however, the Derivatsiya will remain a short-to-medium range heavy AFV with a decent pool of hitpoints. Consider your options carefully.

    Marder cries in powercreep.

Note: this mod uses installs using localization injection, the mod will stay active across game updates without any further adjustments. To uninstall, simply remove the mod files.

Note 2: because this mod changes both the model and textures of the K153, existing skins and camos and base paints will not work. Not that it matters anyway with the sweet sweet model.

    • There will be at least 1 fake vehicle coming in 2022, and another that is sort of fake. SS is not happy with it.
    • There will be a Czech camo coming.
    • There are new German vehicles in development, coming in 2022.
