  1. One thing that needs to be worked is that each map has a vision range scale factor built in.  With the nerf to the vision on MBT's, certain maps used to be a pain to do to a complete and utter impossible without being wiped out like Harbinger.  The whole not being able to shoot at something that is shooting me because you can't see it gets old.  If you make it so that things could be spotted by an LT or AFV with vision without them being deleted would be nice.

So you got the bonus gold button but when you click on it nothing happens?

    Yeap, nothing happens.

What should happen is that it opens the my.games overlay with the gold purchase website. Maybe check if you disabled that overlay somehow.

Yeah, because I don't have some "sooper sekrit" check box checked somewhere......No overlay, no item hidden in the task manager.  Zip.  Zero.  Zilch.  Null.

I'll take the answer below as my hot take on it.....

  3. I had some high hopes for it being an analog to the 2AX with it getting one thing in trade off for something else to make it niche in a particular role.

Playing with it in the training area it just didn't have it and it just didn't get me as excited as I would have expected it given how much I love the Leopards in general.

  4. Playing in 8's, this was doable but.....trying to do it in 10's?  Yeah no.  Haven't tried it yet.

The way things were spawning caused a lot of chaos.  With it being close quarters in some areas, you had to somehow get EVERYONE to turn around and that was a mess.

With the canal and the train:

    • I enjoyed the "rain" aspect of it for the emersion.
    • There are a lot of glitches with the spotting of infantry.  I was right on top of one when he appeared when he was shooting missiles the entire time.
    • Several of the tanks coming around once the train stopped while rough and doable brought in the terrain where you had a full shot at a LFP but hit an object that was "there" like a small hill or rock.
    • The sound needs to be optimized.  It started to cut out with about 3 minutes left and this was something that would happen on some maps but could never reproduce it to be able to report it.

Once thing that doesn't help out is that the spawns are so much of a pain in the butt.  Being the only heavy on the team with a Maurader, a Bradley, and a pair of BMPT's, they couldn't do anything so they backed off and I had to soak up the pain of dealing with them trying to get some of the bots to turn around so the autocannon's could do some work.

That means that if I see a map I like, I'm guaranteed to not see it again for at least 2 hours.

Like wise, if you see a map that you don't like.

What I see that sucks about this is if the map rotation gets to run a course and there are back to back maps that everyone hates, that is going to be a waste of time, just wait it out to que up when the next map comes up.  It'll suck if you have a booster running because then you waste such of your time on it waiting out a map.

I wonder if this will be the catalyst for stat-based headhunting in PvP. Unlike marks in WoT, these flags are very obvious and easy to spot in battle. Even without XVM it would be obvious whoever have flags are likely to be skilled/experienced to some degree, and anyone determined enough may target players with flags first over those without.

Then again I don't play PvP, so I have no idea if headhunting is even a thing yet.

I was going to say something similiar.  At least in WoT, the "Marks Of Excellence" are on the barrel, making them hard to see or spot unless you go out of your way to look for them on the other side.

On the other hand, if seems that getting these flags may be some what "easy-ish" to obtain.

AGDS should have been on an M1A2 chassis.  That's what it was designed for, not an M1 chassis.

If my memory serves me correctly, historically it was planned to be put on the M1A1 chassis to make use of all the "extra" ones they were going to retire or dispose of once the M1A2 came into existence.

Will Tier 1 to Tier 7 vehicles get rebalanced the way Tiers 8 to 10 were?

Yes. But, unfortunately, we don't have a deadline for that.

Then why did the tier 8 through 10 get shoved down our throats rushed out?

Please explain the HEAT-MP shell purpose. To us, it's very toxic, because it allows you to deal damage even upon non-penetration. The ATGMs do this too, but they do have a lot of disadvantages the HEAT-MP shells do not, such as being exposed to enemy fire, or being fired by vehicles with light armor.

The HEAT-MP shells are intended to be sort of warning shots. They don't deal massive damage upon non-penetration, but they do force camping MBT players to move, because otherwise their hitpoints would get chipped away with every shot. And it's working. We are currently considering reducing the HEAT-MP non-penetration damage to make this shell type not as obviously superior to the standard HEAT rounds as it is, but we won't remove it altogether.

I have no idea why this is a topic of discussion.  I see HEAT-MP as a balancing tool that allows for use across multiple spectrums without the outright damage potential.

I'm happy to see them looking at the 99A2.  It is one that has potential to be a good "average" MBT to an average player, but not one that excels in the hands of a great player.

The fact that battalion operations isn't getting an overhaul makes me wonder.  It has had at least 1 major and 1 minor adjustment to it since AW came on line.

  9. Keep in mind something:

That spreadsheet that I was referring to was an aid to help in calculation of how many battles you needed to get in to get to a certain level.  The time spent in the match was the only real time metric discussed.

So it took a run down average of the matches you were in, how many battle coins you made per match, and time per match and it was used to help do the calculations.

I have not seen a solid description of what the BC's are based off of and what percentage.  I want to say the effective combat time is a better gauge based on what I've seen.

For example, I have no idea if takeover time contributes to effective combat time... so at the end of a match, is it better to sit on the cap, or look for that last straggler tank (which might be movement, but not active combat, particularly if someone else finds the straggler way far away from you.)

If you are referring to how many BC's you get are calculated, the spreadsheet that came out several BP's ago said that it was the time spent in the match.

  11. I played with it a bit last night.

To me, for all the hype that it got it is not as great everyone thought it would be.

It has some good damage output but its lack of defensive ability means you have to depend on positioning, and with positioning you have to pay attention to the map you are on.

  12. Sorry but this is more of a vent than anything.

Why on earth did someone think that changing some of how finding decals or camo was a good idea?

If you make a change to the UI, make it so that the UI is more usable, not something like this attached picture.  It was a pain to find something before, but now there is little to no rhyme or reason to how this is done.

Patch notes, I never saw this in the patch notes.

BP/Raid seems to be working fairly well so no reason to do anything different or even add progression stuff which doesn't earn money anyways.

This I found very interesting as well. I was expecting that it would work better than the previous one but that sounds a damn lot better. The skins were well made no matter if you liked them or not.

When it comes to programming, I have always associated time as a significantly more costly resource that money.  It hard for me to understand they why that resource would be spent in some ways towards something  like a skin which must have taken a ton of time and from what I've read about the Hades skins it really isn't a texture as much as a whole new vehicle and used for other things that could be more of an improvement in the game.  The last ones looked far better than the previous ones but I guess SS's response summed it up about just how hard it was to accomplish.

Uh, there was never a 2A7 in the game. It's always been the same tank model, but with different names. And at some point the gun was remodelled from 140mm to 130mm.

Then what is this then?  I know, because I played the crap out of it when I got it until it got the heck nerfed out of it because it was the only thing that could counter the T-14 when it came out.

No plans for user-uploaded battalion logos, risk of people uploading dicks is too high.

Now, that is funny because they did in the beginning allow for user uploaded battalion logos.  They were screened for things that were "offensive" in nature.  They did say at one point that there would be more logos added.

ss said we get fps drops because our pc are too weak

This whole thing has been going on like the whole Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck "NO! It's rabbit season!" scene and has always been an argument since the first night of beta.

For the longest time if you were in the garage your GPU ran at 100% power and 100% load even in the simple garage.  You could even dial your settings down and the game would stumble along.  One of the guys I played with had a rig that could rock out Crysis/BF/CoD with every setting set to max with zero issues, but having settings in AW to the modest middle of the road settings he couldn't hit anything that was moving because it was so bad.  No, it was a PC issue.

The last time I saw anything from support about it something in a patch had changed and I couldn't get my frame rate out of the teens and I was told to install the latest video drivers.  When pressed to tell me which one they recommended they said it was the latest ones but the version number they posted was one about 6 months old.  It is a lost battle.

    Swiss Leopard with 140mm planned

I hope that its not the original 2A7 that was in the game before the 2AX.  I loved the 2A7 and played the hell out of it.  If they add it back in I'll be very upset about it.

  16. When it was announced that the MW5 update was delayed due to it being released on the same day as Cyperpunk I was a bit upset about it because they said that they didn't want competition to ruin the release.

For a while I thought about actually getting it and "branching" out in a direction to try something new and Cyperpunk came up.  I am SOOO glad I didn't.  After seeing what is happening I do hope that the issues get resolved and it can be all that it was hyped up to be.  But in the mean time, the person going up the stairs with no animations was the nail in the nope coffin.
