But but but,  ... OK fair enough. :classic_biggrin: You got me.

I suppose I can try for the AFV, and see how far I get. And who knows, it might enable some of the devs to get some meat this month. The poor things have been looking so pale recently.

  2. Excellent, superbly done!

But I have a (possibility stupid) question, how do I identify a PvE elitist? I can identify a pvp elitist, because they bloody well all are.

  3. It might depend on being a bit sneaky too. You might have to spoof your IP when you first sign up (I would imagine)

There's no credit card requirement at the start, so you might just be able to start an RU account, and then it'd be OK to use a non-RU credit card, once it was working, now we're all one world of caring sharing wonderfulness, respecting and valuing each other, as we link arms across the sea, in one worldwide group hug. :classic_biggrin:

Besides the increase in BC needed for the ranks, one thing I don't like is the repeatable 3 missions are on a 24 hour refresh, it should be 48 hours at least. Also if they were shortening the refresh time from 72 hours, the requirements should have been reduced as well.

As for you Lenticulas.... this is for talking about the BP itself.... not a should I (or anyone else) should buy into the BP or even be convinced to do so. Go start another thread for that crap. You either want to support the game or you don't... or better yet, you got money and/or gold to burn or you don't. Simple as that.

  5. I'm still on the fence over this.

OK from a 'Return on Investment' point of view - the prizes:

    1. Tier5 prem MBT straight off. OK, fine

I have a couple of thousand battle coins from last time, so it should be really easy to get to number 2:
    2. Tier6 prem MBT straight off. OK fine.

However, being a Glops person, who doesn't really go for MBTs, & it's difficult to actually GET a game of Glops in anything under Tier7 ... so these are not super-useful for me.

    3. Pindad - sounds interesting, I might like this one.
I just tried it on Alabino.
This must be banned IMMEDIATELY before it ruins everything.

    -----------------

    4. Hunter AFV - Requirements for this one are unknown, so impossible to judge - but it's an AFV, so something I would probably like to get. How? i don't know.
    5. Tier 10 big tank thing - I'm never going to get this far, so we can ignore it.

    In a small random sampling of Glops games(12 Tier7 & Tier10 mixed) of 10v10 & 15v15 - if they are 50% of each,  that's on average 25 players/game = 300 players

plenty of people got 5+ kills
3 players got over 10 kills (and that's not neccessarily 'eliminate' ie do most damage & kill, so some of those may not count)

18 players got over 15k dam
4 players got over 20k dam
2 players got over 25k dam, actually they both got 30+ and were using a marder and a Leclerc t40, so they probably didnt get the 80% efficiency ....

Extrapolate this how you wish, to estimate your chances of using glops to get through the tasks - Hint: I don't think you'll do it :-)

The initial information provided by AW was that the Access+42.5k BC package would get you to level 19, but based on the above information it appears that it would actually get you to level 20.  But yes, that does mean that it is not enough to get you the Pindad -...

That's the weird thing. 42,500 is such a specific number, and so specifically tailored to get you exactly to level 20... At which level there is... Nothing.

It's almost like they decided to make it that you got the Pindad, and then had some kind of "dumb-ass boss decides to change everything" meeting, and increased the totals, so 42.5k got you nothing...

Is this going to be the same sort of thing as the CATTB, where every mode is poisoned by whoever has the most sad no-lifers who paid to get the top prize super-battle-path vehicles wins?

    another 40,000 to 30 (Pindad)

    1. there are three mission sets for the skins of the Type74, soengun, Pindad and the ultimate mission set with the Type 10 skin.

The three mission sets are unlocked by unlocking the corresponding BP vehicles.Which means you start with the Type74 set, then seongun unlocks seongun skin mission set, ... Ultimate mission set is unlocked with unlocking Type 10 and completing all three standard mission sets.

OK so ... you don't actually have to do EVERYTHING in those path-vehicles, just the skin missions.

What i was driving at was you can't just pick a path to get the AFV and do that, and ignore the other ones, you're going to get the Type74 & Seong'gun before the Pindad, whether you want them or not -
What sort of payout do you get from regular games in non-path tanks?

    extra question:

do normal Prem vehicles, count for double battle coins?

  10. OK, it's stupid question time: (since i haven't bought it yet...)

    1. when you unlock it, there are 3 paths, and then you finish those, and then you get to start the last ultimate path, yes?:
Do you get to pick your favourite one to start with, or are the initial 3 fixed in some order?

    2. It says all the Mission sets

    Quote

    Destroy

    1. In 10 battles, destroy or help destroy ... etc.

These can ONLY be done with this battle path's vehicles, of which there are 4, well 3 actually, because the last one you wont get until the end.
so to start off, they all have to be done with Type74 Tier 5 MBT, until you get to rank 10, and then you get the Seong'gun T6 MBT,

Have I got this right? .... 3 months of every mode being flooded with these 3 vehicles?

    3. Potential repeatable missions - where do they appear - is it in the Contracts bit of the HQ?

    4. Where does the Hunter AFV come in? I can't find that in the rank-reward bit?

    - 5. Where can you buy it for cash, if you want to do that, & keep the gold? - ok I found this: https://market.my.games/shop/
    ---------------------
and FYI for everone,  it's €7.5 in real money or 3000g = approx €15 to buy the gold.

But I received your in game friendship request and accepted it, so if we meet I am glad to help you in your goal, by the way yesterday I received the same mission, but having both Sergeant York and Murder I think it is not a problem at all for me to get in any way in other moments.

    :winkseal:

The other one I received yesterday is to kill a tank in PvP by killing the crew, last time I had it was a big problem and I had to pay it with gold, but now I have a commander with huge crew damage bonus and so with Wilk and PELE or ADTU and PHISH is easier to get it for me, let's see... I would like to get at least 1 more crate, but I am not willing to spend my gold for it.

I wasn't sure if the friend thing worked, ...  if I don't seem to be there, I may be logged-in, and have gone to the shops or something.

For killing the crew, you could try a Ramka/Termi with thermobarics? It might be difficult to kill the crew, without destroying the actual vehicle as well.

Save your gold - there is plenty more cheese to be served.

  14. Blue Star Cheezing update:
the progesssion getting them, using my T7 Chally method has been as follows:
    B = Blue Star
    x = anything else
    B-(B)*1-B-B-B-x*2-B-x*3-x*4

*1. I did a silly thing on Harbinger, and got killed - I haven't memorised the positions of all the spawns, and moved too far into the town before the last wave and got killed - so I got the Blue star but it didn't count. Entirely my fault.

    *2. 1x Tier 8, Griffin 50mm did so much damage I couldn't keep up. I came 2nd
    *3. 2x Tier 8 griffins, no chance. I came 3rd
    *4. 1x T8 Marder2 + 1x T8 Ramka99, the same. I came 3rd

I think I see a pattern here: against my own tier, playing only Rolling Thunder, Harbinger, Starry Night, Life Jacket and Wildfire, I honestly think I could get the blue star 9/10 times, now I know where to go.

    HOWEVER:
The MM keeps sticking me with super-machine-gun, shredder vehicles, one tier ABOVE me. And even if I do 12, 13, 16k damage, if there's a T8 vehicle doing 26k damage, even if I spot ALL his damage, I don't think it's mathematically possible to beat them, using my method, because of the extra points they get from being one tier up.

so on to plan B ...

  15. OS: Windows 10 Enterprise, version 1809, 64 bit

    Game Version:  (20/05/2020)

Brief Description: Player viewpoint instantly rotates 90 degrees, while driving wheeled vehicle, zoomed out

    Steps to Reproduce:
Get small wheeled vehicle, i did it in a Kornet EM, although I have had it happen in a Crab, and also in on the West of GhostField.
Play glops on Waterway, drive around. I has happened at random times, but mostly driving at high speed through the bushes at G1.
I have only noticed it happening in small fast vehicles, in glops, and not in PvE. I have no idea about pvp

    Result:
Randomly in the match, my viewpoint rotates 90 degrees, while I am driving.
One second my viewpoint is from behind the vehicle looking forward over it, the next second my viewpoint is suddenly from right of the vehicle looking at its right-hand side, while the vehicles is still driving in the original direction. Only the camera moves.
I then swing the camera back behind the vehicle, and it happens again.
    It is very disturbing.
It never happened when zoomed in, in sniper mode.
Note: the camera does not *rotate* through 90 degrees, it is instantly changed.

Expected Behavior: The Camera remains where I control it.

Fixes/Workarounds: None. Possibly sea-sickness pills, might help.

Other Notes: I think this is going to give me some sort of epileptic seizure if it continues, the effect does not show up in the replay

switches instantly from this: pic a,  to ,this: pic b, while I am driving

That's why i refuse to play MBT on glops alone, you get other MBT teammates that do fuck all and never come close to a cap, it's rage inducing.

Readers of a nervous disposition may wish to look away, there may be swearing ahead...

    I FEEL YOUR PAIN

At least you can actually hold a cap in an MBT, I have lost count of the amount of times I have gone somewhere, on Desert Crossing for example, in an MBT, taken my cap, and then looked at the map and found the rest of the team hasn't managed to do anything.

The red team has purposefully proceeded to the other circles, clearly marked on the ground, and taken them. I have done the same. The rest of my team... some are afk; some have disconnected, some have gone to random, empty areas of the map, perhaps searching for stray unicorns. The rest are either tabbed out to pornhub, or the few that are left,... the unlucky ones capable of actual thought are being outnumbered, and slaughtered, whilst screaming into the fucking wind, via the chatbox, like me - Trying to get the others to move, or help, or just briefly click W, and at least move towards an objective and soak up some damage for a few, miserable seconds, if they can bear to take their mouse-hand off their dick for that long.

    Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhh.

What the fuck IS wrong with people.?

    Really. FFS.

  17. I didn't actually notice you or I would have said "hello" :classic_biggrin:, I was having tunnel-vision probably.

And I can't check which games right now, because my pc is elsewhere....

I was either trying the "proximity-spot-everything" strategy in the Chally which works great on one mission that I have now forgotten the name of, where you defend the museum... That one works! (edit: rolling thunder)

... or, trying random vehicles and tiers and maps, to experiment with which got a blue star, or near a blue star, so were worth continuing with. For example, one of them I tried a ERC f4, got the blue star, next game, was total crap and got nothing.

... And now I am beginning to suspect you might have been in the 2nd game? because some guy turned up in a Sgt. York, sat in the perfect position to see everything, and vaporised everything, before anyone else in the team got a shot off....?

To be honest, I usually use pve as a method of getting an extra, cheap x2 xp, if I'm grinding a vehicle, I want to get finished and then dump, and cheesing contracts. So I haven't put particularly much effort into actually trying to get good at it, at least that's the excuse I'm using now. :kek2:..

EDIT: I think @BumbaX you may have been "under cover"  :detective:  ;-) ? ... or i crashed out, and it didn't save the end game screens

Chally 1 is a strong tank and should do well in that mission and spot easily if you ...

I've been taking the Chally + triple Repair Kits, and just driving as close as I can to enemy cap zones, and proximity spotting everything, in my British Bunker.
It works (ie i get a blue star) about 50% of the time, which isn't enough. The times when it doesn't, a vehicle just does so much damage, usually a ramka, that all my spotting isn't enough. Or there's another heavily armoured vehicle in the game, who realises what i'm doing, and does it as well.

I pretty much have most of the tanks, basically all the AFV/TD/LTs, but not many mbts above T6. and a few new ones. Not too many prem vehicles. I am a sneaky spotter person too, usually.

The Sergeant York can farm blue stars with no problem even if is matched with higher tier tanks, unless...

    Thx for the tips :classic_cool:

Usually I am reliably second, which does not really help for the blue star mission.

I don't have a Sgt. York, but I think I can see what this is going to take.

    I have a plan.

I need a reliable way of getting blue stars, and I think it's going to be getting a specific tank, preferably one I have already, and then waiting for a specific mission, (and going for max cheese).

Hopefully, I can just align all the elements as much as possible in my favour, and then hope that it does not take too many tries.

Of course this means I will actually bother to find out what the pve missions are. How about a Challenger I? That's a completely min-max vehicle, and I have one. I'd rather do it in that, because in a wiesel HOT for example, one slip and you are dead.

Is Harbinger the one where you end up in the NW corner of the map, as all the AI tanks try to cap there?

  20. The thing that bothers me, OK it's one of many things, but we'll stick with this one for the moment.

    Imagine in Glops, on Narrows:
Some A-hole wants to sabotage his team, for whatever reason - he decides to go to some remote corner of the map and hide,
deliberately taking no part in shooting tanks, taking cap points, or defending them.
    vs.
Compare this with what happens when someone wanders off on Narrows, to the East of the map where there are no cap points.
far away from any tanks, and without posibility of taking or defending any caps.

    IT'S THE F**KING SAME

    Someone shoot these people please

Some further detail would be useful here AP and HEAT can easily fail if the target turns when you press the trigger and you either hit a stronger armor part or a era pack or grill. What tier, what vehicles, what ammo did you find more success. Just saying do this mission it's easy is not much of a guide.

If you wanted 100% accuracy, all AC/ATGM vehicles are out. (missing with AC, APS vs. ATGM)

    I'd try either:

A tier 5 sheridan, with its huge damage HE, and very few shots, aim at squshies + do some spotting
    OR
Just go for the assists ONLY, via spotting (VBL, Fox or similar) and never fire a shot - unless you were 100% sure of a hit.
You cant get the assists through tracking, since you might track them but do no damage. (unless tracking counts as 'damage' that is)

    Get top XP 5 times

I think i'm never going to get this. I can pick a vehicle that regularly gets blue stars: Sakal, Ramka - anything with a super OP machine-cannon, and get some blue stars.
The problem is, eventually you get in a match where you are bottom tier - so it's difficult to come top
or you get in one where there's a second Ramka, or a griffin, or T249 Vigilante. - so you won't neccessarily get 1st, even if you both do great.
Or you are T9 and you get a team with a T10 Armata T-15, that hoovers up all the damage.
Or everone else dies and you lose - so you dont get the blue star, even if you come top.

I would just buy my way out of it, but then it becomes a circle of ending up stuck with missions you can't do, buying out of them, and then ending up stuck with them again eventually. So basically buying them out does nothing: you might get them again a few times later. Maybe even immediately.
