  4. Related thread: In short - Shockwave is a survival mode where hordes of enemies come in waves. Players start around the control point and have to defend it from enemy capture. There is no respawn available (intentional by design), but you can use field repair kit to replenish HP. Ammo refill comes periodically. Standard enemy vehicles usually don't have camos, but some come with star symbols on their name tag (e.g. ★T-15 Kinzhal★) and can sometimes be identified by their special vehicle skins. These starred variants can hurt a lot with increased penetration as well as a slightly boost to HP pool (but not as much as typical lieutenant vehicles in other PvE modes). New enemy vehicles include but not limited to: Bradley AAWS-H CV90 Mk.IV Harimau (including Kaplan MT starred variant) Stalker BMPT 2017 (including RSP starred variant) Centurion AVRE Otomatic (including Candymatic starred variant) T-80BVM AbramsX Boxer RIWP Strv 2000 T-15 Kinzhal (including Weeb's Revenge starred variant) Type 99B (including Gung Ho starred variant) A new wave (more like "levels") comes every 2 minutes, with auto ammo resupply for all vehicles near the control point every 3 waves. There is no known winning condition (or at least it's not yet found if there is one), and the highest known wave is at 26; the "next wave" countdown timer stops afterwards. Performance stats count towards PvE, including losses. As for those who worry about losses affecting stats, SS said the devs will do something about it in future iterations. Leaderboard / ladder is also being planned. Season 0 is launched on 29th October 2024 and will last for one month.

Source: https://armoredwarfare.com/en/news/general/shockwave-update-now-available Bugs or other unmentioned changes: Machine gun is added to several vehicles, including but possibly not limited to the following: IT-1 K21 XC-8 Object 287 AS21 has an inaccessible ATGM called "AS21_ATG_SC_BossShip", which has only 35mm penetration, 600 full damage, 500 partial damage, and 250 non-penetrating damage. Stalker and Shadow now have Drone Jammer ability. M1A2C's SEP v3 PL skin now has incorrect desert-like ERA texture. XM1A3 Sentinel skin has black ERA texture. Commanders' XP bar now continue to fill up after reaching the Colonel rank. This is only found on the interface where you change commander on a selected vehicle. However, SS said there is no plan for additional ranks past Colonel. Lieutenant vehicles are not appearing in a lot of the standard PvE maps, such as Desert Viper, Ghost Hunter, Harbinger, Rolling Thunder, and Wildfire. Desert Fox and Hydra are reported to be unaffected. 2 of the secondary objective trucks in Harbinger are missing - they are invisible and invincible (no hitbox), but keep their collision in their original position. Despite what the patch note suggests, the new 125mm gun sound does not actually apply to the 3 tanks. There are multiple reports of crashes and disconnections. SS says it will be hotfixed soon.

Leaderboard is in the plans SS: "It is generally not a good idea to funnel new players into this mode, it is really unforgiving. However, marketing thought it would be good for new players attracted by the update advertisement to at least try it out so we'll be handling out 2 day Armata 152 for new accounts."

Source: https://armoredwarfare.com/en/news/general/development-pele-overhaul Overall the article is rather vague, so here are some of SS's response from official Discord server: PELE will basically work like HESH in-game The mechanics went through several iterations based on supertesters' feedback Warrior's APSE shell has not been taken into account for PELE overhaul. Possibly an oversight as the devs do not know how it works. It's not known if Scimitar's APSE works the same way or not. The idea of lower pen but very high module damage won't work well, because players would simply pick AP instead for better reliability.

Wilk XC-8's PELE will be "the old meme PELE", i.e. with the pre-0.30 HESH-like mechanism When asked if there are plans to update the graphics in the game, SS says it'd mainly be for the environment. Source: https://armoredwarfare.com/en/news/general/development-dynamic-decals More comments from SS on official Discord server: Decals can work on vehicles with skins (e.g. Leclerc T4's Rhône-Alpes skin), as long as it's applied on base surfaces. As for skins with one disabled decal slot, SS may re-enable due to free placement outside of additional props / geometries on skins. However, skins that are fully covered like T-14 152's Koschei will not support decals as before. If a vehicle or skin can support two decals in the first place, the said decals can be placed on either turret or hull as long as they are on base surfaces. The largest size for a decal is roughly the size of Leclerc T4 turret roof (the flat part behind the hatches). First decal slot supports symmetry settings (e.g. like that on XM1A3's turret face).

Source: https://armoredwarfare.com/en/news/general/development-endgame-pve-mode While it's not yet named as so, the idea of a "horde mode" has been brought up multiple times in the past: The earliest known iteration was called Cargo Collection in 2019, and it was to fetch airdropped cargos while being attacked by waves of enemies. This mode was to come after Labyrinth (which has now been removed from the game) as part of the time-limited modes aka War Games. SS in 2020: "Yeah I proposed horde mode a lot of times but never really got anywhere. Personally, I think that it's the best PvE content when it comes to replayability" It was in "pre-development phase" according to a stream in 2022. It was one of the game modes considered in July 2023, and later heavily hinted to be the one in development by November. However, the game mode hit some problems when asked about it this July, and it was assumed to have halted, or at least not being available in the near future. Turns out it's back on the table. When asked if there will be a "max reward" time for survival, "Well, in theory it's possible to "get to the end" but... you won't.", but if they do then they'd know. As for enemy vehicle wrecks disappearing, "Even not that many wrecks (and some of the later waves are pretty big) create major pathfinding obstacles. Trust me, we tried." SS also brings out the wreck clutter in PvE mission Wages of Sin as an example. There is no plan to add mode-exclusive vehicle in this mode.

Thorpe on the other hand will be a complete overhaul. In other words, all four commanders will get some changes in time for this upcoming BP. The story of 2017 Storyline Campaign can be found here.

Source: https://armoredwarfare.com/en/news/general/development-xk3 Dev responses on official Discord server: When asked about this particular tank, Maciek states it's a K2 upgrade proposal that is named K3 for marketing sake and not related to the Next-Generation Main Battle Tank that will appear as XK3 in AW. Some people state that there's a large difference between AW's proposed mass of 35t vs "less than 55t" as seen on the spec sheet. SS replied "Maybe the 35 is a mistake, let me check". The top-attack missile choice is "to make things interesting". There is no plan to retrofit the Ambush Mode ability to the PL-01 or the CV90120 Ghost. It's probably too late to add RWS to the tank as a functional weapon or just a static decoration. The XK3's iteration in AW is akin to an export version adapted to the needs of the customer, hence the lack of autocannon RWS by design choice. "Note how the original does not have a coax and our does for example." There will be an official XK3 naming contest, but it's not available yet as of this article's publishing date.

Source: https://armoredwarfare.com/en/news/general/update-0220-now-available The BMP-1's change basically makes the stock weapon limited to 73mm gun and MG ammos only, and the ATGM ammo upgrade is now a weapon upgrade that includes ATGM as usable ammo. This means the stock weapon is now selected by default, and everyone has to manually select the "Malyutka" ATGM again in order to use it in battle.

T-80BVM's unlock requirement is to deal 1,500,000 damage using the T-80UM-1. The progress is not retroactive. However, for some reason damage caused to vehicles that are spotted by other team members, as well as those caused to tracked vehicles do not count to the damage progress. It is not possible to unlock the T-80BVM with the unlock token despite its presence on the garage UI. There is a UI issue not properly showing T-80BVM's unlock progress. Although Fullscreen is now removed from the game, the settings now refer Borderless Window as "Fullscreen"

For Hard PvE + SO", which means the damage requirement should be around 1.5 million damage, but we won't know for sure until the update arrives.

Source: https://armoredwarfare.com/en/news/general/update-01914-now-available There is a new bug in Lone Star, where you now cannot capture the control point for the secondary objective "Defeat Clayburn Loyalists", which means the follow-up secondary objective "Finish Clayburn Loyalists" also cannot be completed. The T-80BVM's icon can be seen on Shishkin's dealer tree, but AFAIK you cannot interact with it.
