  1. The article has been re-published with the same URL but on a new date ("Jan 16th | 2024").

The article is largely the same but with the following text missing from the original:

    Quote

We briefly considered adding HESH shells as well but since we do have the Centurion AVRE with its high damage HESH shells on Tier 8 already, it’s better to do something different.

We’ll be therefore adding the Copperhead HEAT round with terminal guidance. In Armored Warfare terms, it means that the shell will become controllable after a certain distance and will be possible to guide when firing at long ranges. It will not be agile of course – it’s a shell, not an ATGM. But it should make it easier to target vehicles at long distances.

The model screenshots are also new, replacing the older textureless screenshots:

    Holiday Mode

This Christmas, we are once again enabling the Christmas Garage and the special Holiday Mode! A squad of snowmen took a magical sleigh and is dropping tree decorations over the village! Help Grandfather Frost gather the decorations and put them on the tree! Tree decorations will spawn across the map and it’s your and your team’s duty to pick each one up and bring it back to your base. But beware – evil Grinch-driven armored vehicles will stop at nothing to steal them from you, ruining your holidays!

    Rules:

    • The holiday mode can be selected in the Garage in the mode menu
    • The match generally follows the rules of Global Operations with both sides having a number of points
    • Capturing and bringing home the decorations resembles a Capture the Flag mode, each capture reduces enemy’s pool of points
    • The first time a decoration spawns, it will always be in the center of the map, the rest of the spawns are random
    • Player who captures a decoration will be clearly identified by an icon and visible on the minimap
    • Destroying a vehicle carrying the decoration will cause the decoration to drop to the ground and become available for capture by someone else
    • A new decoration spawns every 90 seconds
    • It’s necessary to capture 5 decorations to win a match
    • The match is played in 10v10 format and lasts 15 minutes

    General Changes

    • Contract Mission timer now works as intended (with the exception of stacking)
    • Exile Battle Path: Elite missions now work as intended
    • Penetration indicator now updates mostly without delay
    • Fixed an issue where Mechanized Infantry wouldn’t shoot at targets effectively (however, there is still a bug remaining where its projectiles would sometimes disappear upon impact)
    • Fixed an issue where Lynx Skyranger parts would appear in two separate groups in your inventory

    • Holiday Mode was last held in 2021.
    • When asked why the infantry had problems shooting at enemy targets in the previous update, SS replied on the official Discord server that the update "reduced the amount of ticks in order to improve calculation optimization for the infantry - but by too much, accidentally."
    • Unrelated to this particular patch, but there was a long maintenance held on 26th December, which according to SS was to change servers, but location is still in Amsterdam. The difference before and after the server change should in theory be minimal, but there are multiple reports of players requiring multiple attempts to log into the server itself.

  3. From official discord server's announcement channel:

The list of currently known issues 0.90.50 issues:
    • Boxer armor fix is still not finalized
    • Boxer Tracked turret taking full damage and other similar issues
    • Infantry is behaving strangely
There are a few more but that's the gist of it.

Apparently AT infantry have very poor accuracy at the moment.

    Timer Corrections

We have fixed the timers for the upcoming Past to the Present event so that they work as before so that a single stage can be completed once per day and the timer then shows the time remaining to midnight UTC, at which point the stage resets.

We have also adjusted the timer for the Battle Path repeatable mission (72 hours). If you don’t complete a mission within 72 hours, another mission will become available straight after its completion.

The Contract Mission timer now works the same way with another mission appearing as soon as you complete the previous mission in case you take more than 3 (or 7) days for it.

    Legacy Fixes

A number of existing vehicle fixes have not been correctly added to the patchnotes in one of the previous versions. Here is a list of the changes made:

    • ASCOD LT-105: Both turrets now have the same viewrange (450m)
    • BM Oplot: Increased the APS charge amount from 2 to 4
    • BM Oplot: Increased the APS reload time from 5s to 15s
    • BMP-3M: Significantly reduced the camouflage penalty for firing the autocannon
    • M113 Hellfire: Rebalanced the ATGM launcher and introduced the option to remove the overprogression module (by selecting a new, stock one)
    • Merkava Mk.1: Improved smoke generator is no longer tied to armor upgrade and is a separate module
    • Rooikat: Increased the carried ammo from 48 to 96
    • T-15: Decreased the improved smoke grenade launcher reload time from 80s to 35s
    • T-15 Kinzhal: Decreased the improved smoke grenade launcher reload time from 80s to 35s
    • Wiesel HOT: Reduced the ATGM launch camouflage penalty
    • ZBD-04A: Significantly reduced the camouflage penalty for firing the autocannon
    • VN17: Significantly reduced the camouflage penalty for firing the autocannon
    • ZTL-11: Vehicle now loses less penetration over distance for APFSDS shells
    • ZTL-11: BTJ-III shell damage increased from 875 to 930

    We apologize for the issue.

    General Changes

    • Exile Battle Path: Challenges now open weekly as intended
    • Somewhat optimized a number of armor calculations in order to increase the game’s performance (this may, however, manifest in delayed penetration indicator updates)

    • Fixed several smaller UI issues
    • Fixed some small visual issues
    • Fixed some small localization issues

    Other notes:

    • Exile BP's challenges are back to the old format (i.e. one new challenge unlocked every week). It was first announced in a patch earlier this month, but it only happened in this patch.
    • AT infantry are reported to have very bad accuracy after this update
      • When asked why this has happened, SS replied on the official Discord server that the update "reduced the amount of ticks in order to improve calculation optimization for the infantry - but by too much, accidentally."
    • MPF LT's M10 Booker skin still has scales texture above the gun mantlet

    Undocumented changes:

    • Undocumented change: Boxer CRV and Puma's HE partial damage have been reduced
    • Undocumented change: Both of PLZ-05's guns are now 4-shot ready racks
    • M113 Hellfire has partial reload back

This year, we have one more vehicle to show you – we’ve mentioned it briefly in the recent stream but now it’s here officially – the German Lynx Prototype.

    scr1

    KF41 Lynx prototype, 2018

Of course, we do have another Lynx in the game already – the Skyranger version. However, this vehicle is different enough for us to introduce it as a separate one.

The history you might be already familiar with from the Skyranger article but here’s a quick summation. The Lynx (by Rheinmetall) is one of the most modern infantry fighting vehicles currently offered and yet it’s not exactly special in any way. The idea behind it was to offer a more affordable alternative to various over-engineered modern IFVs such as the Puma. Not necessarily worse, just less complex and with significantly lower lifetime costs.

The first version of this private venture appeared at the Eurosatory 2016 expo in France – this was the lighter KF31 version, as can be divined from the name – KF stands for Kettenfahrzeug (tracked vehicle) and the number represents its weight category (in this case, some 35-38 tons). Two years later, in 2018, another model was unveiled – the significantly heavier KF41 (up to 50 tons) with correspondingly improved protection levels.

The vehicle itself was designed by Rheinmetall engineers to be as modular and easy to maintain as possible while offering unparalleled configurability. Its hull is made of steel. The basic protection level is classified but it is estimated to reach STANAG 4569 Level 3 (protection against 7.62mm armor-piercing bullets) – this armor setup bears the name MCO (Mounted Combat Operation).

That’s not much, but the hull can be easily upgraded with composite panels, likely increasing the protection to Level 5-6 (protection versus 30mm autocannons). But that’s only the beginning – the vehicle is highly resistant to mine and IED explosions and the armor is specifically designed to withstand ATGM hits. This upgraded armor kit setup is called CUE (Complex Urban Environment) – it’s worth noting that these terms were invented by Rheinmetall, this isn’t an official military term.

    The protection also includes:

    • Smoke grenade dischargers (the system depends on the turret)
    • NBC protection system (similar to that of the Puma)

And can be enhanced by an active protection system such as the German AMAP-ADS hard-kill APS or a combination of the ROSY smoke discharger and a laser warning receiver that acts like a soft-kill APS.

    scr2

    KF41 Lynx prototype, 2018

The Lynx is (in any configuration) powered by an 18 liter 6-cylinder (I6) Liebherr 976 series turbocharged diesel engine producing from 755hp to theoretically 1475hp, depending on the vehicle’s version and tuning (the official numbers are 755hp for KF31 and 1410hp for KF41). It is paired with an automatic transmission (Renk HSWL 256 or Allison X300 series), allowing the Lynx to go as fast as 70 km/h (the maximum off-road speed being roughly 42 km/h).

And, finally, there’s the armament. The older KF31 was fitted with a Rheinmetall Lance turret featuring a 30mm or a 35mm autocannon. For the KF41, the turret was upgraded to Lance 2.0. Both had a crew of two, bringing the total crew to three (gunner, commander and driver) with six (KF31) or eight (KF41) more men carried in the back.

Despite it only being four years since its introduction (six if you count the KF31), it can already be said that the Lynx KF41 is a successful design because despite not being formally adopted by any military prior to its export offer, Rheinmetall managed to garner a lot of interest and, more importantly, secure a major contract. 218 KF41 Lynx IFVs were ordered by Hungary in 2020 to replace its obsolete fleet of BMPs as a part of the Zrinyi 2026 re-armament program.

The current model is built around the 2018 prototype, hence its name. The production turret and hull are both different and may appear in Armored Warfare further down the line.

Now, the big question is – we said it was bland in the past, why would we introduce it in addition to the Skyranger? The answer is simple – because we found a way to make it not bland. Here’s how.

In Armored Warfare, the Lynx Prototype will be a Tier 10 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle.

If you are familiar with the Skyranger, you are already familiar with the basics of the Lynx Prototype AFV. You have a big hull covered with NERA and decent mobility. It’s a durable vehicle despite the fact the Lance 2.0 turret is actually manned – it’ll still offer decent enough protection to withstand basic autocannon fire.

The really interesting parts are the guns. The vehicle will offer two of those, both by Rheinmetall:

    • 30mm Mk.30/2 autocannon
    • 35mm Wotan 35 autocannon

Both guns will offer two modes of fire – high (with low accuracy) and low (with high accuracy), allowing you to configure the weapons just the way you like them. In addition to the standard advanced APFSDS rounds, the vehicle will have programmable (airburst) HE rounds as its disposal. On the downside, this vehicle will not have an ATGM launcher and will rely on its guns only.

    scr4

Click the image to open a larger version

But that’s still not all. The KF41 Lynx Prototype comes with a new infantry type called Assault Squad.

This is a variant of the standard AT squad. It is still armed with the AT4 rocket launchers the AT squad is but its rockets have thermobaric warheads instead of HEAT (an approximation of the AT4CS HE airburst round). This makes them very effective against enemy infantry and lightly armored targets.

The Lynx Prototype will be a powerful IFV especially viable in the recently released Rate of Decay mission where it’ll be able to devastate that pesky hostile infantry with easy. It’ll also come in handy in other Special Operations when dealing with troops stationed on rooftops.

    • The Lynx prototype was first mentioned by SS in the 28th November stream
    • It is also seen in the article showcasing various camouflage patterns in the upcoming winter event.

  7. Turns out that BM Oplot's APS was also changed very recently. It now has 4 charges with 15s cooldown. This matches what the patch notes stated back in 0.31.

It's not documented, and it is not certain when it happened, but according to a player in official discord server, the Oplot already had 4 charges last week, but a video that was uploaded on 18th November still had 2, which means it is very likely that the changed happened in one of the two updates here.

    • Removed obsolete Battle Coin tokens from player inventory

    • Contrary to what the patch notes suggest, all Exile BP's challenges remain open and available for completion at the moment.
    • Top-attack missiles' penetration buff was actually implemented on 25th November, but it was undocumented and the notes are added here in retrospect. That said, C13 TUA's top-attack missile remains unchanged.
    • The Hellfire's change is to make its Improved Missile Launcher overprogression upgrade (increases rate of fire at the cost of total reload time) optional, whereas before it's essentially irreversible unless you sell the vehicle and buy it again.
    • As for SPG overhaul:
      • In general most SPGs now gain HEAT or HESH shells in addition to their HE shells, with accuracy and aim time buffed
      • Some HE shells have slightly lowered full pen damage, but partial and non-pen damage have been buffed overall
      • As for why Msta-S remains unchanged, SS explained before maintenance that there were concerns where some players may become unhappy, because the high tier premium vehicle they paid for changed drastically, which can risk demands for refund, hence "the best option is to simply leave everyone with exactly what they paid for".
      • The reason why Abbots are overhauled was because they were "cheap and useless enough to warrant an overhaul".
      • Panzerhaubitze 2000 has a bug where switching to damage shells or support shells would incur a long switch time (22s)

Does anyone know how many Battle Coins it is to unlock the Boxer CRV (Tier 9 AFV)? Is it 20x 5000 = 100,000 BCs, or does the BC requirement increase at certaink ranks?

You start at rank 1 when you have access to the BP, so you need to go up 19 ranks i.e. 95,000 coins to get the Boxer CRV.

    YouTube Mirror:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EKMhYoiB84

    ----

    Situation:

    • Core development team practically changed with much of the programmers, vehicle modelling team, and level design team transferred away sometime this year, so they had to get new people in, and they have to start / learn from scratch, which is causing some of the delays
    • As a result, these aspects are now the biggest bottlenecks in development

    Random bits and bobs:

    • Devs comb "feedback and bugs" channel on Discord every day or two
    • Woody in Griffin 50mm following players too closely and blocks their path back is a known issue. Rate of Decay took so long to come out, because the new AI pathfinding and the train scene at the end were very complicated to develop.
    • No ETA for the remaining Black Company Spec Ops missions, but hopefully not as long as the delays caused by Rate of Decay's development
    • SS acknowledged concerns that Black Company Spec Ops chain may become very long when they are complete, and it's something the devs are aware of
    • He also admits that the Apocalypse + Exodus 5-mission chain (which has yet to be seen in the weekends) will be long
    • Cooldown timer problem is a top priority fix, and SS has just completed its design documentation a few hours before stream
    • The fact that Exile BP's challenges are already unlocked for since the beginning is not related to the ongoing cooldown timer issue
    • When asked if TOS-1M would be nerfed, SS said its performance will be looked into sometime in the future.
    • The devs will look into vehicles that are constantly underperforming and make adjustments across the board sometime around March or April 2024
    • Regarding German moderators problem, SS said it's not the first time he's heard of this, but there are no plans to replace them as the accusations tend to be unfounded
    • KF51 "at worst case" will be sold via loot crate, hinting it would be obtainable via other ways (it should be available in blueprints in current BP shop for 1200 coins per piece)
    • The devs are aware that the Bars' current unlock requirement (i.e. play 100 matches with T-80U) is not ideal, as some players resort to leeching and throwing matches. The original requirement was to deal a certain number of damage with T-80U, but it didn't work and the current situation was supposed to be an interim solution, and they did not want to delay its release any further. The next progression vehicles will not feature such requirements. When asked if Bars' requirement can be removed in the distant future, SS said that's possible.
    • When asked if weekend Spec Ops should require minimal play time in missions in order to be eligible for the crate rewards, SS said he would look into it.
    • Raids aren't coming back
    • Past decals won't be added BP shop, because adding items to database is very annoying
    • When asked about various vehicles as possible additions to the game, SS said BMP-2M is a realistic candidate to appear in 2024. T-72M2 Moderna is considered boring, and the Strazh (Ukrainian BMPT based on T-64) is unlikely to come. None of them are guaranteed to appear though.
    • There was a plan for new battalion reward this year, with a candidate vehicle also considered, but priority was superseded by other more urgent matters. SS will return to this topic next year.
    • Tech tree overhaul or changing tiers won't happen, because it causes a lot of mess e.g. internal naming. SS argues that players are also used to established layouts, and changing old stuff may cause backlash, but new additions to tech tree e.g. the Bars, T-80BVM, and Object 292 are fine
    • Team damage in PVP won't be removed, because it's easier to isolate and track bad behaviours "like a brothel in a city". Disabling team damage in PvP will cause players to resort to other behaviours that are harder to track internally. In other words, team damage is the lesser of two evils.
    • AbramsX blueprints can also appear in the BP shop (1200 coins per piece)
    • When reporting a player to support, you won't be informed about the actions they would take, and this is because of GDPR.
    • Tiger Claw is shelved, because lot of manual adjustments is required if it were to be overhauled with objective reward multipliers etc (i.e. programming issue), and it was deemed to take too much resource to do so.
    • There are development plans for the next 2 years (rough estimate)
    • Prospects for infantry management (e.g. movement commands) are gone with Allods Team
    • SS is also aware of bots' ATGMs ignoring player vehicles' smoke and soft kill, but this is difficult to fix due to programming bottleneck
    • The only Spec Ops map that was not developed in-house was American Dream's first mission (aka Unrest), which was ironically outsourced to a team that usually makes World of Tanks map. The map was handed to the devs as a whole "package", making it very difficult, if not impossible, to modify, and this is why it is poorly optimised, as well as why Wages of Sin took so long to roll out.
    • As for friendly damage due to own WP/HE ammunition and enemy vehicles exploding from ammo rack explosions, removing them in PvE would require overhauling ammunition's programming (e.g. WP is currently treated as environment damage of sorts), and results from internal research suggest it's not that the issues are not urgent or frequent enough to justify such endeavour
    • Banning players for teamdamage with settings disabled - forcing players to adhere and punish if they don't is bad - forces people to leave
    • Skins like Nakidka are expensive to make - essentially up to 75% of a new vehicle model, but they also have less programming to worry about
    • BPs are always designed and catered for more seasoned players, and are not recommended for new players with few vehicles available, who should proceed with progression and contracts first
    • SS doesn't want more player designed flags or battalion logos, as the Flag Parade contest was a mess back then
    • SS objects to the idea of solo only missions, because cooperation is big part of AW's experience. Furthermore, if a solo mission is rewarding enough, then players may resort to grinding that instead.
    • As for PvE missions with randomised objectives like those on Albatross or Leviathan, SS thinks it may be possible to implement something similar on other existing maps.
    • Reusing assets from new maps (e.g. textures) on old maps requires a huge overhaul, so this notion has been rejected
    • Game performance issues partially tied to old engine, but SS thinks there are still some merits to the CryEngine.
    • SS thinks the game's current minimal PC requirement is still correct
    • No new rocket artillery planned in the near future after TOS-1M
    • No plans for new progression Balkan vehicles, and SS thinks there are more interesting choices for progression vehicles over those
    • When asked if mega bundles can be sold with a plethora of items, SS said bundles are limited to 9 items at most, but old bundles with "rare" items like titles do return now and then
    • No plans for large wheeled based SPGs like DANA
    • Half-tracks too low tiers and not worth the trouble to implement, and they would probably work like wheeled vehicles
    • Technicals won't come - maybe as a joke vehicle at most
    • When asked if car bomb skin for K-153C can become available, SS said it's possible. They also thought about actual car bombs (e.g. those in Famine), but it's not very fun except the one who is blowing stuff up
    • There will be a winter marathon, including 1k gold reward. There will also be Christmas presents.
    • Players in Discord are not representative of the average playerbase or community in general
    • S Tank would be tier 5 at most, and it would probably require developing dedicated mechanics for it, which is not worth the resources as casemate vehicles are rare. Implementing existing mechanics does not necessarily mean it would be free of trouble (see Jaguar's suspension for example).
    • That said, the devs did look into VT tanks, but such vehicles are considered complicated, and the devs are not desperate enough for them yet
    • Samuel Thrope's redesign will hopefully come sometime next year. SS said he has too much to do and this got pushed further down the pipeline.
    • Will there be more low tier vehicles? Yes.
    • Change vehicle properties akin to the existing skin system is being considered
    • The idea of having different loadout sets as a QoL improvement was considered approximately 2 years ago with the old devs, and while it's possible to take a look at it again, nothing is guaranteed as usual
    • SS won't discuss cheating accusation or anti-cheat measures on streams
    • It is technically possible to implement an "invisible camo" (i.e. no pattern, showing only the base paint underneath), but there are no plans to do so
    • The ever increasing number of premium vehicles is not seen as a problem, and SS says there are ways to obtain them without paying for them (e.g. contracts, prizes etc)
    • Engineering vehicles were once considered as a new vehicle class. They would work like summoners that can create obstacle mounds or fixed emplacements, but they would not be played as support only vehicles (i.e. they can still dish out damage on their own)
    • As for why K-153C is at tier 9 in the first place - the devs simply wanted to have a high tier assault buggy back then.
    • "Will SPG get HE shells that are comparable to TOS-1M's rockets?" Artillery overhaul is underway and they will be looking into that.
    • AS90 contract should come Q1 2024 at best, with arty overhaul to come sometime before it
    • Technical integration of models is taking time, and it's lagged behind because development of Exile BP took priority

    Upcoming new content:

    • UAV launchers -there are screenshots of them posted on Panzersofa. The devs are still working out how to implement or balance them (e.g. should they contribute spotting damage for the player?), and there will be at least two types of drones: attack drones and recon drones
    • Lynx IFV based on the one used in trials - exact configurations TBC
    • Autocannon will return to Wiesel in one form or another - either as an optional turret on progression or as a separate premium vehicle, but it would be a gift or a reward if the devs go for the latter, not to be sold. It was supposed to come in a marathon around September, but pushed back due to Exile BP taking priority.
    • A new competitive PvE game mode is being planned, but it is not easy to develop. There are also plans for a new PvP game mode, but it's even more complicated. When asked if it's horde mode, SS simply replied with "no comment".

Please note that the maintenance can be extended beyond the abovementioned timeframe. We apologize for the inconvenience.

But the said maintenance did not occur. As a result there BP has been delayed, probably until next week.

    UPDATE:
The maintenance notice has now been updated, and they are planning another maintenance on the next day, i.e. 25th November. I am leaving the original text above unchanged for now.

    Battle Path Diary

The Diary part of the Eclipse Battle Path is temporarily disabled. The Eclipse Battle Path diaries will in the future appear on the Armored Warfare website in the form of web pages.

    General Changes

    • Extended the Eclipse Battle Path until November 23, 2023
    • Extended the Red Cold event until November 29, 2023
    • Fixed the T-80UM-1 unlock progress bar that wasn’t updating properly
    • Fixed a reason for a game crash (the crashes caused by Nvidia drivers are still present and we are working with Nvidia to develop a fix)
    • Fixed some small visual issues
    • Fixed some small localization issues
    • Added assets for upcoming events

    • Red Cold event ends later than Eclipse BP, which means it is possible to earn the battle coins at stages 20 & 24 after BP has ended. SS says the devs are aware of this issue, and "You won't lose your BCs either way."

  17. Regarding the T-72 M1R skin problem, SS has an answer for it:

    Quote
So, about the T-72M1R skin and why it is locked, here's an explanation our GM gave me:

A year ago when it was issued, the bundle was corrupted and the affected players received a compensation for that. Now a year has passed and the affected players no longer remember that and demand their skin. To issue the skin, the compensation would have to be removed, so contacting support is the only proper way how to deal with it.

TLDR contact support please. All "locked skins" and "skin looks corrupted" issues are due to this issue apparently. We have tested the skin on multiple drivers and multiple PCs on live and works just fine (including for me)

This T-72M1 skin was originally available as as part of the 2022 Polish Independence Day. According to the article it was available as a standalone (premium tank + skin) or part of a bundle (with other Polish skins).

    • As for the Nvidia drivers warning screen, SS said only players by the driver issues will see this screen
      • There is still no ETA on the drivers issue; this is an Nvidia problem, and Nvidia is working on it

    • Fixed some small visual issues
    • Fixed some small UI issues
    • Fixed some small localization issues
    • Added some assets for upcoming events

    Notes:

    • There's a separate notice for those with RU accounts (taken from official discord):
      Quote

Important: Due to auth changes, the owners of RU accounts must launch the game center from scratch (completely shut it down and restart) in order to enter Armored Warfare correctly.

Not doing the steps above will cause the game to believe you have a new account and ask you to enter an in-game name.

    • The T-80UM-1 Bars now has updated XP and credits costs for ammo and module upgrades.
    • The soft kill APS does not have its own hitbox.
    • The requirement to unlock it by playing 100 matches with T-80U does not visually update progress after matches, but it will do so after restarting game client.
    • Red Cold event's timer for next stage does not reset on a certain time of the day, but allegedly 24 hours after the player's own completion of the previous stage. SS blames this on OE code degrading with no documentation left behind.

Today, we’d like to tell you more about the upcoming Exile Battle Path campaign as a whole along with the changes and improvements we’ve prepared for you.

    Return of the Diary

Theme-wise, this Battle Path is very similar to the previous Eclipse Battle Path since it continues the story of Samuel Thorpe where he left off. The Diary feature will return with the second part of the story along with other lore elements such as prizes and item descriptions. There will be improvements to the Diary mechanic to increase its loading time and stability. Last but not least, we have prepared three awesome music tracks underlying the storytelling.

    scr1

And in case you’ve missed the Eclipse story – no worries. It will be available on the Armored Warfare portal for you to read in a dedicated section. That way, even the players who haven’t participated in Eclipse won’t be lost.

    Prizes

Prize-wise, the Exile Battle Path will be similar to the Eclipse one. There will be lore-based skins, camouflages and other prizes, each Level prize tied contextually to the lore of the unlocked Level. The story will start in Sudan – that’s why for example an Al-Bashir Sudanese-themed skin will be one of the earliest prizes!

    al bashir

As usual, multiple vehicles await you. This time there’s three of them:

Blueprint-wise, we’ll leave the same choices in Eclipse so you’ll still be able to obtain Gadyuka blueprints from the Battle Path Shop (so there is that).

    scr2

Click the image to open a larger version

But there’s also a new reward type called Exile Loot Crate.

These crates contain roughly the same stuff as the Eclipse Overprogression Crates. They award you either with a Premium vehicle you don’t have (Tier 3 to 10) or a “last ditch prize.” These will be available within regular Battle Path progression. The main differences between these and the Overprogression crates are:

    • Exile Loot Crates are not separated by Tier (each crate offers Tier 3 to Tier 10 vehicles)
    • It is possible to receive “last ditch prize” even if you don’t own some of the vehicles that can drop from these crates (it’s, however, far likelier for you to receive a vehicle)

“Last ditch prize” drop can be one of the following items:

    • 5 Battle Coin Boosters
    • 500 Gold
    • 6.000 Battle Coins
    • 10 Platinum Loot Crates

There will be 7 of these Loot Crates available within the Level 1 to 50 progression – that means 7 Premium vehicles will potentially be yours!

    scr3

Click the image to open a larger version

    Requirements and Changes

The rest of the mechanics will be very similar to the Eclipse ones but there are some major changes. For starters, this Battle Path is projected to last 4 months instead of 6 months. There may be extensions, but this is the intended deadline. As such:

    • There is no Overprogression, this Battle Path will feature 50 levels
    • Level cost was reduced from 6.000 to 5.000
    • Battle Path Chain missions offer extra Battle Coin Boosters instead of Gadyuka parts

The Shop works the same way as in Eclipse but there will be the following changes:

    • Blueprint slot also offers ZTL-11 parts
    • Blueprint slot VERY rarely offers a single AbramsX or KF51 Panther part
    • Vehicle slot offers 7 new vehicles (no, TOS-1M is not there but Skyranger, Namer, Type 99B, Otomatic and Gepard are)
    • Camouflage slot offers more than 50 new camouflages
    • Skin slot offers more than 50 new skins

And that’s about it, commanders. We hope you’ll enjoy this Battle Path as much as we enjoyed designing and writing it for you. The Battle Path is currently planned to launch in November and we are hard at work finishing all its content.

    In summary:

    • This is essentially a continuation of Eclipse battle path, but with 50 ranks max, 3 new vehicles within the ranks (wheeled Boxer CRV, Puma, and tracked Boxer RIWP), and no overprogression ranks.
    • 4 months long and 5,000 coins per rank.
    • No new crate vehicle, but there is a mention of KF51 blueprints. The vehicle itself has not been announced yet (probably a lootcrate vehicle in the future).
    • ETA November, i.e. right after Eclipse battle path assuming no delays.
