  1. quick info dump from the pts:

    Challengers ( except the Challenger 1)  are severely weaker than their counterparts the whole lower glacis is a weakspot, the gun handling buffs don't help with the fact their weak penetration forces pixel hunting against other tanks while they shoot your massive lower plate, with the mobility changes they are the big losers. 

    the new chip damage is gonna kill pve at this rate extremely fast with the amount of ATGMs spammed   

    Ammunition

    HESH and PISH loss 33% damage going from 900 on live to 600 on pts in return PISH only got a 10mm penetration increase from 600 to 610.

    HEAT and ATGMs have had penetration and alpha increases its insane pulling out 1.1k alpha hits using LEO 2AX HEATMP rounds.

    Basically if your forced to fight an MBT from the front: break their cannon barrel, track then flank otherwise aim for view ports,  Keep some APFSDS rounds for tracking and damaging vehicles from the side especially Challengers with their TES-H armor kits with their massive slabs of side protection and Abrams with TUSK kits.      


  3. oh god what gets me is the AI's ability to ignore the minimum distance arc, at least it subjectively has a faster arming animation for the launcher tubes versus the C13 TUA, you could say due to the rear mounted firing position its much better firing from cover situations.


  4. Just some thoughts we should definitely do a view range Nerf on MBT's.

    AFV's should have the best view range mixed with their scouting kits for target identification. - Emphasis on passive with mixed active spotting 

    My big question is about TDs and light tanks should they have the self spotting capabilities that can match an afv or should their view range be less than AFVs but better than MBTs? For the TD line with the terminators due to their MBT chassis should have MBT view range? 


  5. so in what context is the main balance method? penetration adjustments or armor model changes? premium vehicles more relevant yes please give me more turret ring armor for the vickers mk7 its got a 80mm turret ring that gets shredded by AI bots in pve.      

    what vehicles have been pushing the power creep in game?

Yeah the big issue man in high tier pve is the atgm sniping, PL-01s light you up then the spam begins, playing anything soft skinned is asking to eat a atgm to the face, oh lieutenants effectively ruin scouting due to their bullshit vision hack. The biggest issue between tier 9&10 balance is the penetration and alpha blowout versus their tier 9 counterparts.


  7. I was surprised you missed on the the wilk when it had its PELE rounds before it got nerfed, I remember the Challenger 2 ATDU PISH shell buff where it turned into a module destroying god before the accuracy nerf along with reducing the post penetration damage. 

     

    Oh I forgot object 490 problems when in pve the bots shoot out your cannon constantly. 

    BWP 2000- is this with the 40mm cannon and dual missile launchers? I play mine like a Draco with the 60mm cannon and the single launcher i forgot some vehicles have specific over preforming load outs.   


  8. Oh God yeah that armor spot near the front driver and commander's hatches it eats everything, and the turret gets the crap kicked out of it alot, the lack or ERA and skirts makes you vulnerable to auto cannons. I think its slower than the Ramka-99. 

    I think it failed in a pvp environment for having too weak of an armor scheme mixed with its poor mobility and camo, the lack of burst fire with its ATGMs didn't help.

    Cool improved protection, they did get a firepower upgrade through changing their APFSDS rounds to a depleted uranium type? otherwise are they light tank MBT hybrids. Jumped on and took a quick look at the armor buff its pretty good. 

    TLDR: Improved turret protection around the cannon breach against ATGMs, the turret ring under the cannon is now the weak spot, the weakest spot on the lower plate is around 630mm going up to 760mm on the middle plate then up to 850mm on the upper part.

    that 50mm less pen is gonna hurt alot in pvp fights can't cleanly go through lower plate weakspots now or turretrings, but hey its got a great turret and a narrow lowerplate armor strip it makes it functionaly a very strong pvp tank because I have an hunch that its a 80% APFSDS fest out there. Specialised rounds such as HEAT,PISH and gun launched ATGMs are just too niche to use well without foresight.

    Ok, I returned with a statistic about the XM247 in PvE... Yeah, 21.5K damage and 14 kills average per match. 76 blue stars out of 80 games played. I'd say this premium is DEFINITELY meme tier in the DAMN GOOD way in PvE games.

    I went ahead at changed the rating for the XM247, thanks to your feedback. The new expansion for Division 2  has my hands tied.
