Qbicle 110 Posted June 11 (edited) Source: https://armoredwarfare.com/en/news/general/rough-riders-battle-path-info-and-preorder Quote Today, we’d like to tell you more about the upcoming Rough Riders Battle Path campaign as a whole along with the changes and improvements we’ve prepared for you. Preorder You can now secure the access to the Battle Path early (and with preorder-exclusive items) in the Web Shop “Battle Path” section. The following bundles are available: Rough Riders access with the Cavalry Blues camouflage and the Modern Cavalryman player avatar Rough Riders access with 50.000 Battle Coins, the Cavalry Blues camouflage and the Modern Cavalryman player avatar Rough Riders access with 10 Battle Coin boosters, the Cavalry Blues camouflage and the Modern Cavalryman player avatar Please note that the access price in Gold will increase from 3.999 Gold to 5.999 Gold at the launch of the event. However, the compensation for receiving the access multiple times remains 3.999 Gold for all such cases. The camouflage gives your vehicle a subtle rusty, worn-look only acquired by long years of service. If you’re not into flamboyant patterns, this is the right camouflage for you. For more details about the Rough Riders Battle Path, please read below. The bundles are available in our Web Shop: Rough Riders The Rough Riders Battle Path is focused on U.S. cavalry, from its humble beginnings in the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, the Rough Riders era of the late 19th century and both world wars to its transformation to the Armored Cavalry branch after the Vietnam War. The rewards will therefore be theme-appropriate, but there’s also a different theme at play here. There will be 50 levels of waiting for you as usual. Let’s start with the vehicles: ELKE Tier 7 Premium LT for reaching Level 20 (featuring an elevated weapons station allowing you to ambush your enemies with ease) RDF/LT Ares Tier 8 Premium LT for reaching Level 35 (featuring powerful missile launchers as well as 75mm gun) XM1302 Tier 10 Premium LT for reaching Level 50 (featuring new “Mitigation” passive ability – the faster you go, the less damage you take) There will of course be new epic skins based on real-life vehicles, such as: M60A3 “Crustacean” for the M60A3 M3A2 Cavalry Vehicle for the M2 Bradley IPM1 “Danger Zone” for the M1 Abrams Each comes with its unique story of U.S. service. New camouflages, decals and base paints will also come with this Battle Path. However, there’s also a major change that’s new with this Battle Path because it will allow you to earn previously released content as well as new. This content includes several new Premium vehicles, epic American skins and more. Here are a few examples of items you will also earn: T92 ACAV Tier 2 Premium Light Tank RDF/LT Tier 6 Premium Light Tank M60A3 SLEP Tier 6 Premium Main Battle Tank Expeditionary LT Tier 6 Premium Light Tank Full set of Prime skins Freedom Rider skin Ridgway skin for M8-120 Rough Rider skin for M60A3 SLEP Gunslinger skin for the T249 Vigilante Full set of MERDCS camouflages Reforger 83 camouflages Skins for the reward Light Tanks mentioned above (such as Acid and Reaper) And much more. And if you are worried about the performance of your new Light Tanks – don’t be. They will be receive a comprehensive buff along with the release of the Battle Path. If you own any of these rewards already, you’ll receive Battle Coins instead, making your progression through the Battle Path faster. But that is still not all. After all, what would a Battle Path be without a commander? Commander Anthony Diaz will be making an appearance after nearly a decade of exile. You may have forgotten him but he has not forgotten you! This rugged commander has a set of versatile skills that make him suitable for a lot of vehicles. There are a few players who acquired his services in the past. To recognize their long service, these players will be rewarded with a lot of Battle Coins if they own Anthony Diaz. What else is new? The missions have been overhauled once again. This time, the missions will require Light Tanks, so better stock up on those – or use those you acquire from the Battle Path, they should perform fine in their new upgraded forms. Instead of high-stakes challenges, the missions have become a source of additional Battle Path boosters, Battle Coins and other goodies (and are therefore easier to complete than before). And, last but not least, we have added a couple of things to the Battle Path shop as usual – for the standardized prizes, of course. The rest of the Battle Path remains mostly the same. The Battle Path is currently planned to launch in the second half of July but, as usual, the specific date will be announced a bit later. Comments from SS in official Discord server as well as any other additional notes: The pre-order prices are 15 EUR for the standard bundle, and 50 EUR for the "Epic" bundles with 50,000 coins or 10 boosters. Previous BP pre-orders were around 10 and 35 EUR respectively. The Prime skins were originally chain mission rewards from the Last Patriot Battle Path in 2019 for tier 6 RDF/LT, Expeditionary Tank, and MBT-70, as well as CATTB i.e. the BP's ultimate prize back then. The Freedom Rider skin was also for the CATTB from the Last Patriot BP. The compensations for already owning older premiums or other items in the BP will be around "1500 coins with some exceptions" SS acknowledges about the reduction in coins per compensation but there are potentially more items to compensate in this BP The initial ranks will still cost 4500 coins as with recent BPs, but they will get more expensive down the line: Ranks 2-20: 4500 coins Ranks 21-35: 6000 coins Ranks 36-50: 7200 coins On the other hand, mission chains will also give out coins as rewards. This together with compensations and support events (i.e. marathon events where players get one reward a day for 5 PvE kills in one match or 1 PvP kill per day for several weeks) Anthony Diaz's skills remain more or less unchanged since the 0.22 commander system overhaul, and will remain so for this upcoming BP. When asked how much is "a lot of Battle Coins" for Diaz's compensation, SS said 20k. SS also comments that "[Samuel] Thorpe change comes first", although there is still no ETA for that Diaz was originally an exclusive reward for those who signed up for closed beta between December 2014 and January 2015. The mission chains will be split to different tier pools, i.e. 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, and 9-10. Tier 3 vehicles typically weren't eligible for most BP missions as the missions were typically limited to Hardcore difficulty, but SS indicates that the upcoming BP will address that issue. Qbicle 110 Posted June 12 Source: https://armoredwarfare.com/en/news/general/rough-riders-battle-path-economy Quote During our recent launch of the Rough Riders Battle Path pre-order, many questions were raised about the Battle Path’s requirements that we’d like to summarily address in this article. Right off the bat, let’s look at the economy. We did several things differently compared to the previous Battle Paths. We shifted the focus back from missions to the main progression, thus increasing the prices of later Battle Path levels In addition to providing a large number of new prizes like in earlier Battle Paths, we also added a number of existing assets to the level progression, for which existing players are compensated (some of them are available even new through the Battle Path shop for example and, in this sense, can be considered a Battle Coin transfer to the new Battle Path) We repurposed the missions – instead of being objectives by themselves with their separate rewards, they now serve to provide players with more Battle Coins Overall, the economy looks as follows: Chain missions (which will require Light Tanks in various Tier brackets) will provide bonus 20.000 Battle Coins and have been tuned to become easier to complete Compensations for existing items will reach up to 65.000 Battle Coins with each existing asset offering 1.500 Battle Coins as a compensation – the amount was tuned based on the number of extra items added to the Battle Path (with Commander Diaz getting a special high compensation prize) Another free event (much like Operation Liberty) will launch during the Rough Riders Battle Path to provide extra Battle Coins and many extra boosters At the same time, the total cost of passing the entire Rough Riders main content from Level 1 to Level 50 increased by 75.000 Battle Coins. Please note that this by itself is nowhere near new or unprecedented as, even without overprogression, some previous Battle Paths had even higher requirements As a result, for players who own some of the American items provided in this Battle Path, the progression may even be easier than the current Battle Path. A separate issue is that of the entry price. We understand that this is a sensitive topic for many of you, especially with what’s going on in the industry right now. It has been a difficult decision for us as well, but we would love to win you over with the Battle Path content we will highlight in the future, such as: New skins and prizes New gameplay features of the vehicles Light tank buffs – and not just the reward ones featured in Rough Riders, of course The yet-unannounced system partially tied to the XM1302 We will post more about these before the launch of the event itself so that you can see for yourselves whether what we have prepared for you is worth your time. And, last but definitely not least, we’d like to thank you for all your feedback as well as your continued support that inspires us to continue working on this game even a decade after its launch. It means a lot for us to see you submit even the harshest of criticisms because, at the end of the day, the opposite of support isn’t hate – it’s indifference, and you show us every day how much you care. We will do our best not to disappoint.
Zafir 14 Posted June 14 (edited) Quote Please note that the access price in Gold will increase from 3.999 Gold to 5.999 Gold at the launch of the event. Qbicle 110 Posted June 26 More changes incoming, source: https://armoredwarfare.com/en/news/general/rough-riders-battle-path-improvements Quote In our previous articles, we have discussed the Rough Riders Battle Path and its economy and other improvements, such as the upcoming buffs of the Light Tank class. But we have also been gathering your feedback and today we’d like to tell you more about the improvements we are making to the upcoming event. First and foremost, we are adding a new vehicle prize to the event. Griffin 120mm will be obtainable upon reaching Level 43. The Griffin 120mm Tier 8 Premium Light Tank is an excellent vehicle in its class and represents a powerful addition to your arsenal. It is a powerful, fast machine, armed not only with its 120mm cannon, but also with special ammunition types, making it deadly at any distance. And if you have it already? That’s right, that’s another item you will receive bonus Battle Coins for. Jut to recap, the Battle Path now contains the following vehicle prizes: ELKE Tier 7 Premium Light Tank (new) RDF/LT Ares Tier 8 Premium Light Tank (new) XM1302 Tier 10 Premium Light Tank (new) T92 ACAV Tier 2 Premium Light Tank RDF/LT Tier 6 Premium Light Tank M60A3 SLEP Tier 6 Premium Main Battle Tank Expeditionary LT Tier 6 Premium Light Tank Griffin 120mm Tier 8 Premium Light Tank The other prizes such as skins will be unveiled soon. Furthermore, we decided to make an improvement to the Cavalry Blues camouflage. While blue by default, the camouflage will be able to change colors based on the base paint you use. Please note that the camouflage is pre-order exclusive. Next, we are increasing the amount of Battle Coins available from completing Battle Path chain missions from 20000 to 35000. As announced earlier, the missions will require Tier 3 to Tier 10 Light Tanks, so make sure you stock up on those – or you can earn them as you progress through the Battle Path. And last but definitely not least, we are adding a large number of items to the Battle Path shop, including: New MPF blueprints in the blueprint slot of the Shop Commanders Seagrove and Grey make a return 13 new or returning vehicles (including Ajax, EMBT, Typhoon-VDV, XM2001 Crusader, M2020, VN20 and XK3) 18 new skins (including the Honey Badger, M1A3 Aces, T-14 with Nakidka, Koschei the Deathless and M10 Booker) Over 50 new camouflages from the previous 5 Battle Paths Comments/replies by SS on official Discord server: The previous reward at rank 43 was a platinum booster. If you already have the Griffin 120mm, you'll get 1500 coins as compensation upon reaching rank 43. MPF LT parts will have the same cost and drop rates as other vehicles parts i.e. Gadyuka and CV90120 Ghost etc. The addition of MPF LT parts is "very likely a one-time event", i.e. for this upcoming BP only. Qbicle 110 Posted Thursday at 06:30 PM Source: https://armoredwarfare.com/en/news/general/rough-riders-battle-path-prize-highlights Quote The Rough Riders Battle Path is coming in the second half of July and, as usual, we’d like to take a moment to tell you more about its prizes. As you already know, the topic of this Battle Path is the history of U.S. light tanks – or, rather, the U.S. cavalry. As such, the Battle Path features numerous American-themed prizes, including vehicles and everything else. As usual, we have three new Premium vehicles for you: ELKE Tier 7 Premium LT for reaching Level 20 (featuring an elevated weapons station allowing you to ambush your enemies with ease) RDF/LT Ares Tier 8 Premium LT for reaching Level 35 (featuring powerful missile launchers as well as 75mm gun) XM1302 Tier 10 Premium LT for reaching Level 50 (featuring new “Mitigation” passive ability – the faster you go, the less damage you take) Additionally, you can earn the following older vehicles by progressing down this Battle Path: T92 ACAV Tier 2 Premium Light Tank RDF/LT Tier 6 Premium Light Tank M60A3 SLEP Tier 6 Premium Main Battle Tank Expeditionary LT Tier 6 Premium Light Tank Griffin 120mm Tier 8 Premium Light Tank It also has to be mentioned that the Light Tanks from the vehicle pool are getting buffed. You can learn more about that in our dedicated article. You will also be able to earn the MPF Tier 10 Premium Light Tank via blueprints available in the Battle Path Shop. The M10 Booker skin for it was also added to the Battle Path Shop pool. There is also a returning Premium commander called Anthony Diaz for reaching Level 49. This rugged commander has a set of versatile skills that make him suitable for a lot of vehicles. And last but not least, some of the most epic skins and camouflages are making a return as well, including (but not limited to): Full set of Prime skins Freedom Rider skin Ridgway skin for M8-120 Rough Rider skin for M60A3 SLEP Gunslinger skin for the T249 Vigilante Asgard skin for the M1A2 Vanguard skin for CATTB Full set of MERDCS camouflages Reforger 83 camouflages Skins for the reward Light Tanks mentioned above (such as Acid and Reaper) Here are some of them: But those are older prizes, what you want to see are some new ones, right? Let’s take a look at some of the new skins and camouflages that are coming in this Battle Path: This skin for the Bradley is called M3A2 Cavalry Fighting Vehicle. The M3 series of the Bradley platform is built for reconnaissance, carrying fewer troops and more ammunition and sensors instead. This particular Bradley belonged to the 1st Squadron of the 4th Cavalry Regiment, as seen in November 2004 during Operation Iraqi Freedom, the American invasion of Iraq. We chose the Bradley not only for its cavalry version, but also because it’s one of the best performing IFVs in the game currently. And to make things even better, we finally made Bradley’s launcher elevate and depress in battle. Take a look: Next skin we have for you is called IPM1 Danger Zone for the M1 Abrams MBT. The "Danger Zone" was an IPM1 Abrams participating in (and winning) the 1987 Canadian Army Trophy that took place in the Bergen-Hohne training area. It belonged to Company D of the 4th Squadron, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Armored Division in West Germany. It used a stylized version of the "Bill the Cat" cartoon as its emblem, which was an inside poke at one of its rivals, 3-64 Armor, who had been using the comic-strip cat Garfield as its mascot. Another major emblem was the "Spearhead" belonging to the 3rd Armored Division, located at the back of the turret. The flags on the vehicle were event-specific and were not used in regular service. The Canadian flag was in recognition of the close training between the team and the Royal Canadian Dragoons. And, last but not least, the name "Danger Zone" came from a popular song from the Top Gun movie. As you can see, the skin converts the M1 into an IPM1 with its rear turret stowage. The third skin we have for you is called M60A3 Crustacean. The "Crustacean" was an M60A1 tank serving in Germany in the 1970s with the 73rd Armor Regiment. It was one of the vehicles selected to test the new camouflage patterns coming out of the MASSTER program in Fort Hood. The variant used on this particular vehicle used two primary colors – Rust Brown and Sand, each covering roughly 40 percent of the vehicle in wide areas. The rest was divided between Forest Green and Black colors. This camouflage appeared in 1973 and was used on multiple vehicles of the VII Corps. The emblem on the tank consisted of a stylized depiction of the Mk.VII Liberty tank from the First World War with a shell on top of it. The meaning of this emblem is unknown. While the original “Crustacean” was an M60A1, we decided to adapt the skin for the M60A3 Main Battle Tank as the M60A1 already has a nice historical skin (the USMC, also available via the Battle Path Shop or during events). The skin is available for both its configurations: As for the camouflages, colors and decals – as we mentioned above, these follow the history of U.S. cavalry from the Revolutionary War and the American fight with the British. The Civil War was also a major milestone of the U.S. cavalry history with both sides relying on brilliant commanders and brave soldiers. Then came the Rough Rider era and both World Wars that saw the cavalry change into a powerful mechanized force. The Cold War saw the cavalry change again into an Air Cavalry branch with helicopters and Armored Cavalry with heavy vehicles, including tanks. And even after the fall of the Soviet Union, America’s greatest adversary, the cavalry units continue to uphold their traditions as a new threat rises to challenge the most powerful military the world has ever seen.
