I'm not understanding the why they would do it either unless it is related to PvP/Global Ops which is a real possibility now. For the BMP-3, the AC capacity was buffed just slightly. It's nice to have an option to use the AC instead of spamming ATGMs all day. The BVP-M80A with the Foka turret really eats ammo, so it needed a bigger magazine to be worthwhile. Not much sense to have high DPM if there isn't enough M.
