Barny4u 0 Posted October 1, 2022 Hi I am using Win11 and up to now AW was running/working fine. Since the latest update to Win11 v22H2, AW does not start anymore. The MGLauncher comes up...pressing the "Play"-Button...the "Rise of The Dragen" screen shows up....counting 21,22 ..back to the MGLauncher. Did a rollback to the previous version of Win11....et voila...AW starts...no problem at all. Even reinstalled AW....no luck Contacted Support....(waste of time)..."should make sure AW is allowed in the Firewall".....lol Any ideas..?
ceejee007 7 Posted October 2, 2022 Sorry don't have a quick fix for you, but was glad that you mentioned this error. Was short to install the Win 11 22H2 update. When you asked Support you wont get far... Even got the reaction that Win11 was in beta version and not supported ;-)
2xBarny4u 1 Posted October 11, 2022 It seems there is a mismatch between Win11/v22H2 - AMD WQHL/lastest Gfx drivers and AW (cryengine)...Bluescreen comes up, restart. The only thing I could read...cryengine fail.... So far only one GPU is supported. Second one needs to be turned OFF WoT runs fine with all the latest updates and 2 GPUs..lol
PanzerMarmelade 4 Posted October 14, 2022 Running Windows Pro 11 22H2. Not a single issue until now. Since you mention AMD GPU drivers, I'm on Version 22.9.
2xBarny4u 1 Posted October 16, 2022 (edited) A bit of testing done Win 11 pro v 22H2 (no other/additional software installed) - AMD 22.5.1 WHQL (recommended) >>> Driver doesnt support Hardware - AMD 22.10.1 (latest) >>> bluescreen - Asus motherboard GPU driver (AMD 21.30.9) >>> plus 2 more updates thru Windows Update >>> GPU / System works fine gave it another try - updated again to AMD 22.5.1 >>> Driver doesnt't support Hardware - updated again to AMD 22.10.1 >>> Bluescreen So did a rollback to Asus AMD 21.30.9 and stick to it for now. Read on different places that a lot of users have the same problem. AMD is aware of it (statement AMD drivers are still not 100% compatible with Win 11) For some it works, for some it doesn't:-) Edited October 16, 2022 by 2xBarny4u (see edit history)
ceejee007 7 Posted October 19, 2022 With the " normal" update also got the problem. Reversed the update. Then downloaded from the Windows site the WIN 11 (including the 22H2 update) iso. Installed it and this worked. AW is starting nicely (still the verification exit bug is still present, so have to exit and connect again)
