Spoiler
Quote

This campaign comes as a part of the Apocalypse season and focuses on the efforts of Ivo Rinaldi (with whom you are already familiar from the Plague Special Operation) to secure his settlement from various threats, such as roving marauder warbands.

This three-month-long campaign offers you the opportunity to get your hands on several very special reward vehicles, including the long-awaited Object 195 Tier 10 Premium MBT, but other valuable prizes are also available, including the Vagabond skins, decals and much more. You can find more information about the campaign in the Frequently Asked Questions section below and in our dedicated article.

Reward Gallery (Click to Open)

In order to join the Battle Path campaign, please enter the game and click on the Echoes of War icon on the upper bar.

From there, you can simply purchase the Battle Path access:

  • Standard pass (access only)
  • Golden pass with access and 50.000 Battle Coins

Please note that there might be a delay of up to 10 minutes between the purchase and the access to the event. The abovementioned access bundles are also available on the MY.GAMES Market platform.

Frequently Asked Questions (Click to Open)

How does it all work?

Simply put, you earn Battle Coins by completing missions and then spend them to raise your Battle Path level while earning Battle Path Premium vehicles, layer avatars, skins, decals and other goodies, including a reward tank with Premium status, the Tier 10 Object 195 MBT. You can also get other Premium vehicles as well.

What do I have to do?

You may simply play your battles as usual and earn Battle Coins to unlock the 50 available Battle Path levels, which contain exciting prizes, including 4 Premium vehicles. To boost your Battle Coin income, you can also complete special Missions.

The Battle Path campaign is divided into four paths (mission chains), each with its set of 6 or 5 missions. Additionally, two sets of tasks are also available:

  • Battle Coin missions (deal damage, destroy enemy targets and earn XP for Battle Coins)
  • Challenges (weekly tasks and an additional source of Battle Coin income)

All these extra missions only reward Battle Coins with two exceptions:

  • The final mission of each chain rewards you with a new camouflage called Biohazard
  • The fourth (Elite) chain offers a number of Kurganets-25 parts as a reward

Otherwise, all the Battle Path rewards (vehicles, skins etc.) are a part of the 50-level progression.

What are the Battle Coins?

The Battle Coins are a unique currency, required to advance through Battle Path levels. You can also spend Battle Coins on completing difficult missions without having to actually complete their requirements in the game. On the Battle Path screen, you can see your Battle Coin balance in the upper right corner.

How many levels are there?

There are 50 levels in total. For reaching Level 50, you will a reward tank with Premium status, the Object 195 Tier 10 MBT.

How can I start a mission chain (path)?

Three mission chains are available, as such:

  • Series 1 for Tier 3-10 MBTs
  • Series 2 for Tier 3-10 LTs and AFVs
  • Series 3 for Tier 3-10 TDs and SPGs

Unlike in the previous Battle Paths, these chains are available right from the start and do not require an unlock token. The fourth mission chain, called Elite, is available only upon the completion of the previous three chains and contains Kurganets-25 parts (blueprints). Elite missions can only be completed using Tier 8-10 vehicles.

Some missions require me to do things I do not understand, like Kill or Eliminate. Can you explain?

There are several goal categories included:

  • Kill/Destroy
  • Assist
  • Eliminate

Kill (or Destroy, which is the same thing) simply means you have to be the player who deals the finishing blow to the target.

Assist means that you have to be the player who deals the most damage to the target (save for killing it). There is no threshold – if player A deals 40 percent of all the damage to the target, player B deals 30 percent of all the damage done to the target and then player C deals the remaining 30 percent and kills it, player A will get the “assist”. Kill or assist requirements often come together, so you can either achieve a kill, or an assist and both will count towards your mission progress.

Eliminate means that you have to destroy the target AND, at the same time, be the player dealing the most damage to it. What that means is that, in the case described above, no player would achieve elimination. However, if two players dealt 30 percent of damage each and then another player dealt 40 percent of damage and killed the target, that player would achieve elimination.

How can I obtain Battle Coins?

There are several ways of obtaining them:

  • By completing Repeatable Battle Coins missions or Challenges
  • By completing missions from one of the three basic mission chains
  • By purchasing them or winning them in an official Armored Warfare event
  • By just playing

It’s worth noting that:

  • Special Battle Coin boosters can be obtained for Repeatable Battle Coin missions and for Battle Path level progression, increasing your Battle Coin income for two hours by 900 percent (these can also be saved for future Battle Paths)
  • Long queue waits are compensated by increased Battle Coin income
  • You will get Battle Coins for playing even without Battle Path access

The amount of Battle Coins for playing is calculated as such:

You’ll receive a fixed amount of Battle Coins (2 for PvE and GLOPS, 3 for PvP) for each minute of effective combat. Effective combat time is a new mechanic that counts only the time when you are active in battle (during or between the actions that contribute towards your team’s effort). The exact length will be rounded up for the purposes of rewards (eg. 41 seconds will be treated as 1 minute, 1:01 minute as 2 minutes etc.) and will be available on the results screen.

Like before, winning will multiply your reward (by 1.25 for PvE and GLOPS and by 1.5 for PvP) but you’ll also receive extra Battle Coins for being amongst the best players on the battlefield (4 for Top 2 in PvE, 5 for Top 5 in PvP and 10 for Top 5 in GLOPS).

How long will the campaign be available?

The Battle Path missions will be available for the duration of 3 months. The remaining time can be seen in the Battle Path window in the game.

What unique prizes can I look forward to for participating in the Battle Path?

The Battle Path level prizes include:

The standard Level progression also includes the Vagabond skins for the abovementioned reward vehicles. The three basic mission chains include unique camouflage for three environments. Other valuable prizes such as avatars and decals await you as well.

Can I complete the chain missions within a chain in any order?

No. You need to complete them in the order specified by each chain, one after another. It is, however, possible to complete a mission by spending extra Battle Coins. You can see which mission is currently active by visiting the Mission tab of the Battle Path window. The completed missions are marked with a green ticker and the missions that are yet to be unlocked are marked with a lock icon.

How many Battle Coins does unlocking each level cost?

Advancing to another level costs 50 to 1500 Battle Coins for Levels 1-10 and 4500 Battle Coins for Levels 11-50.

Can I see the progress of my missions in the game?

Yes, in the Battle Path window.

Can I complete more missions at the same time, or the next one only starts after the previous one is finished?

The next one only starts after the previous one is finished. You need to pick up your mission reward manually in the Battle Path window in order to activate the next mission. However, it is possible to have up to three missions active simultaneously and to complete them all in one battle (if their requirements do not prohibit you from doing so). It is also possible to complete a Battle Coin mission, a regular chain mission and a Challenge at the same time.

How do I know what vehicles to use and what modes to enter when completing a mission?

Each mission has its own set of requirements that are sometimes randomized. Mission requirements are stated in each mission’s description, above the mission’s text and main objective description. Please pay attention to the requirements such as Assist, Kill or Eliminate, as these all have different meanings (see above). Please note that Challenges and repeatable Battle Coin missions cannot be completed while playing PvE on the Standard difficulty.

When do I receive a prize that I win, for example by advancing by a level?

You will receive it automatically, within 30 minutes of you receiving it.

If I didn’t receive the reward I won fair and square, what do I do?

Please contact our support service.

What are Repeatable Battle Coin Missions?

There are three missions available:

  • Deal a certain amount of damage (each point of damage against player vehicles will count as five for the purpose of this mission)
  • Destroy a certain number of enemy vehicles (each player vehicle will count as five)
  • Earn a certain amount of net Experience

The cooldown of these missions is 72 hours. Upon each cooldown, each of these three missions will also contain a randomly chosen set of conditions. For example, the Battle Path may ask you to deal damage while driving a Marat Shishkin Tank Destroyer, or a Sol Schreiber vehicle of any class.

What are Challenges?

Challenges (there will be ten of them in total) will open on weekly basis as the event progresses. Each Challenge requires you to do something (for example, deal 15.000 damage in PvE/GLOPS or 3.000 damage in PvP) and consists of ten stages, each more difficult than the last. The abovementioned Challenge opening will be server-based, so joining the Battle Path two weeks into it will allow you to start with two Challenges already unlocked.

What is the Shop?

The Shop Battle Path tab allows you to exchange the Battle Coins you don’t need for the actual Level progression for valuable items such as:

  • Kurganets-25 parts
  • Credits
  • Boosters
  • Premium Time
  • Premium vehicles (including Tier 10 ones and those from the previous Battle Paths)
  • Commanders (including Ophelia Kitescu and Alisa Korhonen)

The items on offer are periodically renewed so every single offer set is available for a limited time only. Additionally, a manual re-roll is available for 300 Battle Coins. Aside from the Elite missions, the Shop is the only way you may obtain enough Kurganets-25 parts to assemble the vehicle (you need 100 of those).

What is the Workshop?

The Workshop Battle Path tab will allow you to modify your Battle Path vehicles (including those from the older Battle Paths) with additional performance-enhancing or modifying modules that will be available for completing a certain number of Battle Path Missions (chain missions or Battle Coin missions) or Challenges.

These modules will become available only when you obtain the vehicle itself, although the completed missions and challenges from this Battle Path will count retroactively. With some effort, all these upgrades will be obtainable during the Echoes of War Battle Path but it is worth noting that if you don’t manage to do that, future Battle Path missions and challenges will count towards them as well.

Mission descriptions and challenges and stuff to follow, when I go through the localization files.

Rough calculation for the total battle coin cost, by the $30 package in the shop pushing you to rank 20 with 50,000 coins, the cost from 1-10 is 5000 coins with 11-20 being 45,000, the rest from 21-50 being 135,000. Bring the total coin cost to 185,000

does not include buying boxes from the daily shop for parts for vehicles

Challenges:

Mission sets:

Quote

Class-specific:

All the class-specific missions except for the second set are identical.

  1. Deal 50000 damage. Damage to player vehicles is multiplied by 5.
  2. Class-specific:
    • MBT: Deflect 40000 damage. Damage from players is multiplied by 5.
    • LT/AFV: Help allies deal 40000 damage. Damage dealt to player vehicles is multiplied by 5.
    • TD/SPG: Deal 40000 damage while not being spotted. Damage to player vehicles is multiplied by 5.
  3. Deal 30000 damage while using HEAT, HESH or ATGM ammo. Damage to player vehicles is multiplied by 5.
  4. Deal 20000 damage to immobilized vehicles. Damage to player vehicles is multiplied by 5.
  5. Deal 10000 damage to higher Tier vehicles. Damage to player vehicles is multiplied by 5.
  6. Finish in Top 3 in the XP ranking 10 times (PvP) or collect 10 Blue Star medals (PvE)

Elite missions:

  1. In 10 battles, help allies deal 2000 (Random Battles), 6000 (Global Operations) or 8000 (PvE) damage. Damage dealt to player vehicles is multiplied by 5.
  2. Destroy or help destroy 100 higher Tier enemies. Each player vehicle kill counts as 10.
  3. In 10 battles, destroy or help destroy 3 (Random Battles), 10 (Global Operations) or 20 (PvE) enemy vehicles.
  4. Eliminate 100 enemies. Each player vehicle elimination counts as 10.
  5. In 10 battles, deal 5000 (Random Battles), 15000 (Global Operations) or 25000 (PvE) damage.

Just some observations and possible tips for making the BP less miserable:

  • Ignore the ranks altogether until the very last day. The reward vehicles (except Kurganets) this time outright suck and aren't really unique in any useful ways.
  • Grind the challenges, repeatables and mission sets for coins. The mission sets in particular are extremely easy this time, the Kurganets parts for the elite missions are practically freebies.
  • Play Plague for damage farming.
  • Play heroics for net XP and missions that require you to find higher tier enemies.
  • Cheese wherever you see fit, only play just enough to complete your mission requirements and move on. All those elite mission that require you to do something 10 times are good examples.
  • Pick up the coin offers in the shop as often as you can, apparently you can get steep discounts like these
    image0.png
  • Kurganets is the only reward vehicle that seems remotely interesting to me this time.

This should give an idea how much BP coins you should reserve for 70 parts of Kurganets - 30800 , the another 30 parts you get from 4th line of missions.

I don't know what poll of vehicle can be, EDIT: most likely ZTQ-15 is not among them, and if you own most of vehicles, these unique prem tank offerings will be useless.

ZTQ is one of the possible offers.

And yeah, do NOT spend your coins for anything less than a tier 9 or 10 premium. You can get almost every tier 6-8 premium for free from the contract boxes already, don't waste your coins here.

Commanders also seem to be offered - I've seen 2 so far (Cortez and Ophelia) both were 99k BP coins.  Likely a massive end target cos purchasing one of those and completing the BP costs around...270k bp coins

Yeah. probably should keep another 2 x 56k coins for ZTQ and QN. Interesting BP model when you avoid to rank because all behavior is steered by potential offerings like these.

Ofc they should fix this "owned" issue as well.

For people who want to get most efficient spending of bp coins - ones may probably skip these "grey" offers for parts, while another colours give better discounts.

But no one assure that these "epic" offers will appear regularly.

Crackpot theory time...

The reward vehicles you get from the ranks are intentionally made mediocre this time, in order to entice people to spend their coins in the shop. Because the shop offers have time limits before going away, when people see something really good they may be tempted to spend gold (and money) to buy coins for the shop offers.

It's a clever monetization strategy, I'll give them that.

It seems the number of parts you get has some random elements to it as I had 3x part on a white option...so LOTS of rng

Which of the 21-50 levels is cheaper?  If it's 4500 per level beyond 10, then 21-50 should be 135,000.

1-10: 5000 (just using your number, I haven't logged in to look yet)
11-20: 45,000
21-30: 45,000
31-40: 45,000
41-50: 45,000
Total: 185,000

Raider bundle: 50,000

Remaining BC needed: 135,000

Also, the Raider bundle is 15,000 Gold in-game or $30 in the My.Games market.

15,000 Gold is €62.50 at the best possible exchange rate (buying a 24k Gold package).  €62.50 is roughly $75 at current exchange rates.

In Mother Russia, math is hard.

Most likely intended to be a total gold sink. Just like all BPs were.

So I went for the standard one even though I wanted to waste my goldpile on it. The offer is a joke and it doesn't get any better once you're in concerning gold.

The mission chains seem to be very easy to complete this time

Some quick math incoming.

jKCa2ee.png

Assuming 440 coins for 1 part is the worst it will get, 100 parts (full vehicle) will take 44000 coins at most if you buy all the parts from the shop, though you will likely have to camp the shop every day for the parts.

It costs 300 coins to manually reroll the shop offers. Assuming you miss a few days or want to get the Kurganets faster, add 300 to the total cost for each manual reroll. For simplicity's sake let's say you reroll 100 times for 30000 coins, bringing the maximum total up to 74000 coins.

You can get 30 parts for free from the easy elite missions, so that's 13200 coins saved and brings the total down to 60800 coins.

60800 coins for the Kurganets is actually incredibly cheap compared to the cost of grinding up the ranks. Remember, sometimes the offers are better and you can get more than 1 part at discounted prices. Coupled by the fact that you don't NEED to reroll the shop 100 times, the actual cost for the Kurganets may be less than 40000 coins.

Seriously, get the Kurganets first before spending your coins for the ranks. It is objectively the best valued reward out of everything in this BP.

Not nice for the servers but looking at the offers some players received this is nearly too good to be true. If you're lucky you can save loads in that shop.

Feels like the mission chains which are so easy you can complete them without hassle in one game/mission.

I'm fine with this. Nice change I'd say.

I have a theory.

Recall several weeks ago on a Friday, the MM basically died right as War Games (forgot which one) became available. This was immediately after a patch had "fixed" the map previews in the HQ screen, and resulted in an emergency maintenance to disable War Games.

I'm willing to bet the HQ screen is fucking up again, since the map previews have been extremely unstable for the past weeks and kept breaking/"fixing" itself.

Yep.

I also currently have a special offer to get a BMPT-2000 for 35,999 BC.  If I didn't already have one, I'd snap that up in a heartbeat.  36k BC is technically not a good deal for a Tier 8 Premium, but the math is fuzzy because you can earn BC for grind but you can't earn Gold for grind.

(It's only worth 9000 Gold, and it costs 9999 Gold to buy 25,000 BC.  So it isn't worth buying for 35,999 BC if you already have one.)

I also had a store listing to pay 15 BC in order to receive 150... that was a no brainer.

A mildly interesting discovery: the missions requiring you to get 10 Blue Stars don't mean that, you just need to get top XP and win. Viable in heroics because everybody get the same base XP.

What this could be directed at is a player that has the BC's building up but nothing to spend it on.  At the surface yeah its a bad deal, however if they crank out that many BC's because it is something they want because they don't have the gold then the BC's start to look like a really good deal.

Yeah.  The flip side of that, though, is that the people most likely to be playing so much that they have excess BC building up are the ones most likely to already have all (or most) of the Premiums available in the shop.  Doesn't hurt, though.

I went through based on Haswell's info above and "bought" the Kurganets.  Mine cost me 35k BC, but I wasn't purely buying Kurganets parts and so bought a lot of other stuff along the way.  If I had to guess, it was probably around 27.5k BC just for the Kurganets parts and 7.5k for the other stuff I bought.  If I had to guess I probably re-rolled 25-30 times?  That's potentially 7500 to 9000 of the 27.5k I'm estimating that I spent buying parts.  There weren't that many 1-part buys for me, and I bought 10 at least twice and 5 at least twice.  So I'm guessing that I probably averaged 3-4 parts per buy, possibly more.  Also the 10-for-1 BC buys each round help mitigate your total spend, and I got a high-end one of those once that earned me 5000 BC by paying 500.  I also saw 1000 for 100 at least once.

I didn't buy any premiums, but the assortment was nice.  Somewhere along the line I'll probably go ahead and buy the T-55 Enigma (it pops up a lot for me) because it was, IIRC, right around 3200 BC.  Might have been as much as 3450 or something like that.  Several Tier 6-8 that I already owned popped up as well.

I had built up to 65k and am now down to 30k, which seems like it's still a really good position to be in this early in the Battle Path.  I have completed this week's challenge but have not completed any of the mission chains, so I still have a lot of "easy" BC to earn.  (I think I'm on missions 3, 2, and 4.  The 40k spotting damage for the LT/AFV has gone surprisingly slow for me while just playing normally.)
