Official FAQ (taken from https://aw.my.games/en/news/general/enigmas-legacy-battle-path-now-available)

Spoiler

How does it all work?

Simply put, you earn Battle Coins by completing missions and then spend them to raise your Battle Path level while earning Battle Path Premium vehicles, camouflages, player avatars, skins, decals and other goodies, including a reward tank with Premium status, the Tier 10 Type 10 MBT. You can also get other Premium vehicles as well.

What do I have to do?

The Battle Path campaign is divided into four paths (mission chains), each with its set of many missions. Additionally, two sets of tasks are also available:

  • Battle Coin missions (deal damage, destroy enemy targets and earn XP for Battle Coins)
  • Challenges (weekly tasks and an additional source of Battle Coin income)

Unlike Challenges and Battle Coin missions, the branch missions offer additional rewards, not just Battle Coins, including Loot Crates, boosters, Credits and the Enigma skins.

How many levels are there and why should I care?

There are 50 levels in total. For reaching Level 50, you will a reward tank with Premium status, the Tier 10 Type 10 MBT.

How can I start a mission chain (path)?

In order to start a mission chain, you need to achieve a certain Battle Path level. Mission chains will become available on Level 1, Level 10, Level 30 and, finally, Level 50 (providing you completed the other three previous chains already).

What are the Battle Coins?

The Battle Coins are a unique currency, required to advance through Battle Path levels. You can also spend Battle Coins on completing difficult missions without having to actually complete their requirements in the game. On the Battle Path screen, you can see your Battle Coin balance in the upper right corner.

How can I obtain Battle Coins?

There are several ways of obtaining them:

  • By completing Repeatable Battle Coins missions or Challenges
  • By completing missions from one of the three mission chains – almost each completed mission will award you with a certain amount of Battle Coins
  • By purchasing them or winning them in an official Armored Warfare event
  • By just playing

It’s worth noting that:

  • Special Battle Coin boosters can be obtained for Repeatable Battle Coin missions and for Battle Path level progression, increasing your Battle Coin income for two hours by 900 percent (these can also be saved for future Battle Paths)
  • Long queue waits are compensated by increased Battle Coin income
  • You will get Battle Coins for playing even without Battle Path access

The amount of Battle Coins for playing is calculated as such:

You’ll receive a fixed amount of Battle Coins (2 for PvE and GLOPS, 3 for PvP) for each minute of effective combat. Effective combat time is a new mechanic that counts only the time when you are active in battle (during or between the actions that contribute towards your team’s effort). The exact length will be rounded up for the purposes of rewards (eg. 41 seconds will be treated as 1 minute, 1:01 minute as 2 minutes etc.) and will be available on the results screen.

Like before, winning will multiply your reward (by 1.25 for PvE and GLOPS and by 1.5 for PvP) but you’ll also receive extra Battle Coins for being amongst the best players on the battlefield (4 for Top 2 in PvE, 5 for Top 5 in PvP and 10 for Top 5 in GLOPS).

Some missions require me to do things I do not understand, like Kill or Eliminate. Can you explain?

There are several goal categories included in this Battle Path:

  • Kill/Destroy
  • Assist
  • Eliminate
  • Performance requirement
  • Battle Path vehicles use

Kill (or Destroy, which is the same thing) simply means you have to be the player who deals the finishing blow to the target.

Assist means that you have to be the player who deals the most damage to the target (save for killing it). There is no threshold – if player A deals 40 percent of all the damage to the target, player B deals 30 percent of all the damage done to the target and then player C deals the remaining 30 percent and kills it, player A will get the “assist”. Kill or assist requirements often come together, so you can either achieve a kill, or an assist and both will count towards your mission progress.

Eliminate means that you have to destroy the target AND, at the same time, be the player dealing the most damage to it. What that means is that, in the case described above, no player would achieve elimination. However, if two players dealt 30 percent of damage each and then another player dealt 40 percent of damage and killed the target, that player would achieve elimination.

Performance is the percentage of hits that hit your target while dealing main hitpoint damage. In other words, a mission with 80 percent performance requirement requires 80 percent of all your shells to hit your target and deal hitpoint damage to it. What this means is that:

  • Shells that hit and deal damage (even without penetration, like HE explosions) will count
  • Shells that don’t hit but still deal damage (HE splash) don’t count
  • Shells that hit but don’t deal damage (non-penetrations, ricochets) don’t count
  • Shells that hit but only deal module damage (hitting enemy ERA, tracks or gun) don’t count

Last but not least, the Enigma Unit skin mission series (PLM, NPAA, Lions and Enigma) all require the use of one of the Battle Path’s vehicles: Type 74, Seongun-915, SBS Pindad, Type 10 Hitomaru and Hunter AFV.

What are Repeatable Battle Coin Missions?

There are three missions available:

  • Deal a certain amount of damage (each point of damage against player vehicles will count as five for the purpose of this mission)
  • Destroy a certain number of enemy vehicles (each player vehicle will count as five)
  • Earn a certain amount of net Experience

The cooldown of these missions is 72 hours. However, there’s a twist to them. Upon each cooldown, each of these three missions will also contain a randomly chosen set of conditions. For example, the Battle Path may ask you to deal damage while driving a Marat Shishkin Tank Destroyer, or a Sol Schreiber vehicle of any class.

What are Challenges?

Challenges (there will be ten of them in total) will open on weekly basis as the event progresses. Each Challenge requires you to do something (for example, deal 15.000 damage in PvE/GLOPS or 3.000 damage in PvP) and consists of ten stages, each more difficult than the last. The abovementioned Challenge opening will be server-based, so joining the Battle Path two weeks into it will allow you to start with two Challenges already unlocked. This will help latecomers to catch up on progress faster than ever before.

How long will the campaign be available?

The Battle Path missions will be available for the duration of 3 months. The remaining time can be seen in the Battle Path window in the game.

What unique prizes can I look forward to for participating in the Battle Path?

The Battle Path level prizes include:

  • Type 74 MBT
  • Seongun-915 MBT
  • Pindad SBS AFV
  • Type 10 MBT

Battle Path chain mission rewards include the Enigma skins for the abovementioned reward vehicles.

Can I complete the chain missions within a chain in any order?

No. You need to complete them in the order specified by each chain, one after another. It is, however, possible to complete a mission by spending extra Battle Coins. You can see which mission is currently active by visiting the Mission tab of the Battle Path window. The completed missions are marked with a green ticker and the missions that are yet to be unlocked are marked with a lock icon.

How many Battle Coins does unlocking each level cost?

Advancing to another level costs 50 to 2000 Battle Coins for Levels 1-10 and 4000 Battle Coins for Levels 11-50.

Can I see the progress of my missions in the game?

Yes, in the Battle Path window.

Can I complete more missions at the same time, or the next one only starts after the previous one is finished?

The next one only starts after the previous one is finished. You need to pick up your mission reward manually in the Battle Path window in order to activate the next mission. However, if you earn more than one pass and unlock multiple chains at the same time, it is theoretically possible to have up to three missions active simultaneously and to complete them all in one battle (if their requirements do not prohibit you from doing so). It is also possible to complete a Battle Coin mission, a regular chain mission and a Challenge at the same time.

How do I know what vehicles to use and what modes to enter when completing a mission?

Each mission has its own set of requirements that are sometimes randomized. Mission requirements are stated in each mission’s description, above the mission’s text and main objective description.

When do I receive a prize that I win, for example by advancing by a level?

You will receive it automatically, within 30 minutes of you receiving it.

If I didn’t receive the reward I won fair and square, what do I do?

Please contact our support service.

I’ve seen a reference to the Engima’s Legacy crates. Can you tell me more about them?

The Engima’s Legacy Loot Crates are in exchange for surplus Battle Coins. They include blueprint pieces of the Hunter Tier 9 Premium AFV (along with a chance for that vehicle to drop directly) as well as pieces of Special Patriot Loot Crates. These Special Crates have to be first assembled and, upon doing so, they drop improved loot, including:

  • Exclusive Premium vehicles (including those from previous Battle Paths, up to Tier 10)
  • Exclusive commanders (including Battle Path ones)
  • Battle Path boosters

What is a Workshop?

The Workshop Battle Path tab will allow you to modify your Battle Path vehicles with additional performance-enhancing or modifying modules that will be available for completing a certain number of Battle Path Missions (chain missions or Battle Coin missions) or Challenges (even though the act of opening a Special Crate also counts towards these objectives).

These modules will become available only when you obtain the vehicle itself, although the completed missions and challenges from this Battle Path will count retroactively. With some effort, all these upgrades will be obtainable during the Engima’s Legacy Battle Path but it is worth noting that if you don’t manage to do that, future Battle Path missions and challenges will count towards them as well.

Please note, however, that, unlike before, standard Contract Missions available to anyone DO NOT count towards any Battle Path progress.

Well for standard access it is nearly always "worth it" in terms of what you get even if you only reach level 10.

According to Silentstalker the Grind is 10% higher. To me it feels a bit higher tough, as the skin-mission sets can only be done using enigma BP vehicles (Which makes things harder).

It should be possible to at least reach level 30 even if you don't have much time. With some effort level 50 should be possible as well.

Most of the missions seem to be doable even as a random player without rigging. However, some might be quite annoying and are more or less based on luck.

OK, it's stupid question time: (since i haven't bought it yet...)

    1. when you unlock it, there are 3 paths, and then you finish those, and then you get to start the last ultimate path, yes?:
Do you get to pick your favourite one to start with, or are the initial 3 fixed in some order?

    2. It says all the Mission sets

    Quote

    Destroy

    1. In 10 battles, destroy or help destroy ... etc.

These can ONLY be done with this battle path's vehicles, of which there are 4, well 3 actually, because the last one you wont get until the end.
so to start off, they all have to be done with Type74 Tier 5 MBT, until you get to rank 10, and then you get the Seong'gun T6 MBT,

Have I got this right? .... 3 months of every mode being flooded with these 3 vehicles?

    3. Potential repeatable missions - where do they appear - is it in the Contracts bit of the HQ?

    4. Where does the Hunter AFV come in? I can't find that in the rank-reward bit?

    - 5. Where can you buy it for cash, if you want to do that, & keep the gold? - ok I found this: https://market.my.games/shop/
    ---------------------
and FYI for everone,  it's €7.5 in real money or 3000g = approx €15 to buy the gold.

    1. there are three mission sets for the skins of the Type74, soengun, Pindad and the ultimate mission set with the Type 10 skin.

The three mission sets are unlocked by unlocking the corresponding BP vehicles.Which means you start with the Type74 set, then seongun unlocks seongun skin mission set, ... Ultimate mission set is unlocked with unlocking Type 10 and completing all three standard mission sets.

    Yes this is correct.

    3. repeatable missions are in the profile tab. Challenges in the challenge tab.

    4. Hunter AFV will be obtainable through enigma lootcrates that will be available for BC at a later time usually 3-4Weeks into BP.

OK so ... you don't actually have to do EVERYTHING in those path-vehicles, just the skin missions.

What i was driving at was you can't just pick a path to get the AFV and do that, and ignore the other ones, you're going to get the Type74 & Seong'gun before the Pindad, whether you want them or not -
What sort of payout do you get from regular games in non-path tanks?

    extra question:

do normal Prem vehicles, count for double battle coins?

You get BC for every battle you play

No. Premium doesn't matter in this regard. Only thing there are BC boosters which you can obtain at certain levels of BP

    another 10x4,000 = 40,000 to lvl 20 (nothing)

    another 40,000 to 30 (Pindad)

So the Super-Duper Battle Path Access + 42.500 Battle Coins doesn't even get you the Pindad?

The initial information provided by AW was that the Access+42.5k BC package would get you to level 19, but based on the above information it appears that it would actually get you to level 20.  But yes, that does mean that it is not enough to get you the Pindad - you'd still need to earn 40k more coins to reach level 30 to get it.

That said, earning 40k coins in 99 days is pretty trivial, especially given the number of BC Boosters buried in the levels.  I counted 13 BC Boosters provided before level 39 (which is all the further I'm really trying to get) and those are mostly front loaded.  In PvE a BC Booster is worth about 2500 BC... and considerably more than that in GLOPS or PvP.

What I'm finding dramatically worse about this BP over American Dream is the mission chains.  They missions are still pretty ridiculous, and now they're saddled with needing to be completed in Tier 5 and 6 vehicles (for the first 2).  Really?  35k damage in a Tier 5 or 6 in PvE?  15 Eliminations in a Tier 5 or 6 in PvE?  Some of these are simply stupid and clearly designed to be skipped by paying.  I guess I'll have to achieve my level goal first, then buy Enigma crates until I get the Hunter, and only then if I still have excess BC I'll pay my way through the mission chains to get the camos.

I already wait for the massive Pindad abuse in PVP. It's going to make the game super toxic once people figure out how to handle this thing. You can do ridiculous stuff with it to make your enemies suffer.:sadseal:

Type 74 is blatantly OP and so is the seon'gun-915 if used properly. Lets see how this goes.

Values for repeatable missions vary a lot. In my case I have the following:

Deal Damage: 450,000 while driving Shishkin TD or AFV

Kill or Assist: 200 while driving Wolfi TD

Net Exp: 15,000 while driving T3-6 AFV

Some got 500k for damage and there are other variations for kill/assist and exp. They seem to scale with tier, and having assists added to the kill missions is an improvement, but overall they're even more of a slog than before, and just looking at the numbers already makes me feel lethargic.

Like OMFGSgtYork levels of OP?  Or just blatantly OP?

'Cause, you know, there's OP, and then there's blatantly OP, and then there's Sgt York OP.

Hi all, my first post on this forum: I'm getting 17k damage with the Type 74 on average (PVE), so not quite Sgt York level, but approaching it. By comparison, I'm averaging 9,4k damage with the Seongun.

That's the weird thing. 42,500 is such a specific number, and so specifically tailored to get you exactly to level 20... At which level there is... Nothing.

It's almost like they decided to make it that you got the Pindad, and then had some kind of "dumb-ass boss decides to change everything" meeting, and increased the totals, so 42.5k got you nothing...

Is this going to be the same sort of thing as the CATTB, where every mode is poisoned by whoever has the most sad no-lifers who paid to get the top prize super-battle-path vehicles wins?

I have seen at least a Pindad in game, so I suppose that for people willing to pay it is not a problem to get it fast. For those not willing to pay it should be anyway pretty easy if they have some time to play and some friends, as who had played the last BP can have BC Boosts left from it and will get more in this BP, so to get BC should not be a problem.

Why friends? Because it seems to me that if the first missions are quite easy to do alone, even if some of them can be a boring long grind, like to do a lot of damage with low tier/low dpm classes, but then to rig the mission in a full platoon makes the further ones much easier, while alone can be a problem for the 95% of the players.

30 kills in PvE with a T5 MBT with randoms is something well beyond the skill level of most of the players, but is an easy task rigging a Spec OP with a full platoon, and it is true for most of the not repeatable missions I would say.

I'm getting more like 13k from each... I haven't broken 15k in either yet, possibly because there are so many people using them to grind missions right now.  And I'm over 22k in the Sgt York.  :-)

In the 915, don't forget your missiles.  They boost your sustained damage by like 40%.  Fire gun, swap to missile and fire, swap back to gun which has now reloaded, etc.  You lay down pretty sustained fire that way without costing you anything at all... swapping to a missile, firing, and then back to the gun all happens in the time it takes the gun to reload.

Also, the 1000 Battle Coin coupon that I received at level 7 can't be redeemed.  I get an error saying something about how the contracts for that battle path haven't been activated.

The completion of a challenge will add to the contracts in the workshop to unlock modules

So any tanks that you have that you need contracts for module unlocks, those will count towards things like unlocking the upgrades on the Type 89, or if you have something from a previous battle path.

The type 74 and the seon'gun-915 have been good to me if I am careful about positioning. Both have reload retro and both long vision retros on them the Korean one is a bit slow on reload so get used to shifting between the gun and roof mounted ATGM pack.

It depends on what mode you're looking at. For PVE those three tanks are allright, probably performing a bit better than competitors in the same vehicle class and tier (except the Pindad, which requires skill and exploiting assist damage to make it work). There's not much vehicles that are on a York level of OP in PVE, except for the Termi mod. 2017 and the T15 or Leclerc T40.

In PVP the Type 74 is too strong compared to other T5 MBTs. (Just compare it to a Leo 1. You'll probably get what i mean) But it needs a good player to make it look like it is OP. But it definitely is due to high burst with a dynamic suspension/strong turret armor combo. The Seon'gun-915 is blatantly OP at its current state, mainly due to its very high burst damage (You do 1.5k dmg while the enemy MBT is able to do 500) superb mobility (It's basically on a light tank level) and it has quite good camo. The ATGM of this thing are very agile and the launcher is the highest point of the tank which means you can easily exploit this to basically hit enemies while you're behind cover. The ATGM itself are too strong featuring tandem heat warhead.

And then there's the Pindad. This thing is the most toxic tank in the game if the player knows how to play it (Even worse than strela). It definitely is not easy to play and you need to know the maps. You can do yolo rush tactics with it and die quickly while you deal 2-3k dmg and use OPhelia bitch shield. Or you can do it the proper way taking advantage of your HE shells combined with the curved trajectory. What makes it blatantly OP is the ability to stay behind cover with the entire tank, while dealing up to 1.5k dmg to the front of enemy MBTs with one salvo and wrecking a ton of modules in the process. If you happen to meet anything that's featuring less armor than MBTs it is your time to shine. AFVs TDs and Lights are getting obliterated by such a salvo no matter from what side.

This is the way to play it. People who don't do this do something wrong.

Added the official FAQ to the main post.

Farming SH3 seem to be the way to go if you want to effortlessly cheese the mission sets. Lots of bots and damage to go around even at tier 6, total number of bots easily go above 60 as long as you don't cap to win, and you can conveniently throw the game by running off the runway.

Obviously you'll want a full platoon for this, but even at tier 6 with the Nork Tonk it's a fairly painless farm.

    In a small random sampling of Glops games(12 Tier7 & Tier10 mixed) of 10v10 & 15v15 - if they are 50% of each,  that's on average 25 players/game = 300 players

plenty of people got 5+ kills
3 players got over 10 kills (and that's not neccessarily 'eliminate' ie do most damage & kill, so some of those may not count)

18 players got over 15k dam
4 players got over 20k dam
2 players got over 25k dam, actually they both got 30+ and were using a marder and a Leclerc t40, so they probably didnt get the 80% efficiency ....

Extrapolate this how you wish, to estimate your chances of using glops to get through the tasks - Hint: I don't think you'll do it :-)

I'm still on the fence over this.

OK from a 'Return on Investment' point of view - the prizes:

    1. Tier5 prem MBT straight off. OK, fine

I have a couple of thousand battle coins from last time, so it should be really easy to get to number 2:
    2. Tier6 prem MBT straight off. OK fine.

However, being a Glops person, who doesn't really go for MBTs, & it's difficult to actually GET a game of Glops in anything under Tier7 ... so these are not super-useful for me.

    3. Pindad - sounds interesting, I might like this one.
I just tried it on Alabino.
This must be banned IMMEDIATELY before it ruins everything.

    -----------------

    4. Hunter AFV - Requirements for this one are unknown, so impossible to judge - but it's an AFV, so something I would probably like to get. How? i don't know.
    5. Tier 10 big tank thing - I'm never going to get this far, so we can ignore it.

Besides the increase in BC needed for the ranks, one thing I don't like is the repeatable 3 missions are on a 24 hour refresh, it should be 48 hours at least. Also if they were shortening the refresh time from 72 hours, the requirements should have been reduced as well.

As for you Lenticulas.... this is for talking about the BP itself.... not a should I (or anyone else) should buy into the BP or even be convinced to do so. Go start another thread for that crap. You either want to support the game or you don't... or better yet, you got money and/or gold to burn or you don't. Simple as that.
