I have return :) More assembled models for the game. Feel free to use it on Subtsance Painter for your visual mods!

Rooikat 76 https://www.mediafire.com/file/okw1ub30q1bqvui/rooikat.zip/file . Wheels for this model uses 'wheelse' folder, but suspension - 'wheels'.

    Harimau https://www.mediafire.com/file/hnv6s2q07z8dl9e/harimau.zip/file

    Stingray 1 https://www.mediafire.com/file/00ouzpvza2fnx7n/stingray1.zip/file

    Stingray 2 https://www.mediafire.com/file/7hfj7cpdgq8hs9o/stingray2.zip/file

I'm thinking of creating a video tutorial of how I assemble vehicles from AW ind 3d-editors.

Have you unwrapped the wheel textures for Rooikat? The mapping in Substance doesn't line up with the original textures.

it's very simple: some people don't need competitors. If fans create content just as well as profi, this can raise questions among prods: why we pay a full-time designer if amateurs can create content just as well, and in some places even better.

    Another amazing work by Arto!

PS: Arto, why u dont use BC1 format for saving your textures, it can save SO much disk space.

Thanks for the kind words! Means even more from a pro like you. :)

As for texture format... Because I just don't know about such things, hah. The faults of being self-taught and just going on the fly.

Just don’t tell the game developers that they can make skins that are a little more complex than a couple of decals and camouflage, they will be hysterical. The skin is good, it would be nice to add similar skins to the game like in WT on the exchange/market and sell them in the game for players, since Soap corps is too lazy to make normal skins for tanks.

Unfortunately I have committed wrongthink - and at this point I guess they can hardly afford dev paychecks, let alone contractors.

  5. A non-historical, but aesthetically realistic skin this time based on nothing in particular.

More in line with an AW merc unit getting their hands on a Type 90 and operating in a European theater (don't question it) - repainted in typical NATO CARC camo and a few adjustments.

Uses the Winter Warrior assets with new materials to mimic the existing camo nets in the game, complete with transparency, as well as turning the numbered plates into combat identification panels in the style of Abrams tanks.

Additionally, the commander's sight as well as the MG were fully removed and replaced by a CROWS RCWS.

V1.01 released: Now with texture compression, so it doesn't clog your disk space. Oops. Thanks to @tahax

I'm pretty new here and not very active, what great purge happend?

Also would it be okay for you to maybe send me the files of the mod directly? I understand that you don't want to upload anothers work without permission, but just sending the files directly should be okay, right?

If you're okay with sending them, my E-mail is Thrawn.Away4@gmx.de

No, it really shouldn't be okay.

I'd ask that you respect my decision and not try to use my work behind my back. The 2A7 mod might come back at some point when I decide to overhaul it. Until then further prodding is unnecessary and unhelpful.

  7. Here is a thread for you to suggest skin ideas to be modded in - mostly for myself, but if others like Tahax and Tobiichi are interested, I encourage them the pick up some suggestions too. Just let me know if you claim any. :)

Lets lay down some ground rules:
    1. Be respectful. AKA don't be a dick.
    2. Please include some pictures with your suggestion. The more, the better - multiple angles, close up shots of any insignia or markings - it all improves the chances of your suggestion being realised.
    3. Suggestions based on real tank photos will have higher priority. Fantasy / other game / movie skins are not out of the question, but have lower priority.

    WHAT IS CURRENTLY POSSIBLE:
    - full paint layer replacement - accuracy varies per tank due to UV mapping
    - modifications to existing skins
    - minor normal map changes (texture based fake-3D detail - anti-slip strips, small indentations and such)
    - attaching already existing in-game models (think cage armor, extra MGs, RCWS)
    - visually removing some parts of the tank - varies highly depending on tank, unreliable

    EXAMPLE SUGGESTION:

Modification to Chieftain Mk.11 Leader to add real markings based on Bovington Tank Museum example.

  8. Skin for tier 7 M1A1 Abrams based primarily on tank 12 "Archangel" of Australian Army 1st Armoured Regiment with matching callsign and serial numbers applied.
Pattern is kept mostly accurate with some necessary adjustments due to how the UV mapping works out.

Also included is a skin for the tier 8 M1A1 AIM using the same base pattern but with the name and numbers of tank 23B "Barely Legal" from the same regiment.

  9. Perhaps in the AW timeline, the WZ-1224 prototype landed a nice retirement as a parade tank.

Based on a 1980s parade paintjob for a PLA Type 80 tank, adapted to the WZ's more angular shape and different suspension.
